JavaScript - Help! Changed Code Not Working
I changed the code and it didn't work, so I tried to put it back to what it was. Now, the whole thing isn't working. I am a lost little child. Can someone help me please. http://www.boothemusic.com/
Here is the code: Code: <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head xmlns=""> <title>Boothe Brothers Music</title> <script type="text/javascript"> function loadContent(page) { switch(page) { case "home": document.getElementById("middle").src = "http://boothemusic.com/middle.html"; break; case "store": document.getElementById("middle").src = "http://boothemusic.com/catalog"; break; case "Electric Guitars": document.getElementById("middle").src = "http://boothemusic.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1&zenid=9feb6660698a06a51571cc4cef1c3e60"; I left out most of the code because I only edited the line "case "store".....". Similar TutorialsHi, On my website, I have one of those trust seals that opens a new window to display account details. Last week it worked fine, but today it is not working. I am sure that I didn't change the code. It still works in IE but the Mox Firefox window opens with no address. This is my js code for the new window: Code: <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> <!-- var win=null; function NewWindow(mypage, myname,w,h,scroll){ LeftPosition=300; TopPosition=150; settings='width='+w+',height='+h+',top='+TopPosition+',left='+LeftPosition+',scrollbars='+scroll+',location=yes, directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,toolbar=no,resizable=yes'; win=window.open(mypage, myname, settings); if(win.focus){win.focus();}} function hidestatus(){ window.status='' return true } if (document.layers) document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEOVER | Event.MOUSEOUT) document.onmouseover=hidestatus document.onmouseout=hidestatus // --> </script> And this is my HTML Code: <!-- // SF-Code Affiliate Marketing ##ak18d54kt** // --> <a href="http://www.support-focus.com/check.php?key=SFM64912" onclick="NewWindow(this.href,'','860','700','yes','default'); return false" onfocus="this.blur()" > <img src="http://www.support-focus.com/image_load.php?id=SFM64912" alt="Support-Focus Membership Click to Verify - Before you Buy" border="0" ></a><br><br> The actual trust seal code appears at the bottom of ths page: Affiliate Marketing test page Can anyone see any problems with the code ? I think I did get a firefox update about a week ago has anyone noticed any changes ? ( I hope its just my code that is wrong ) Oh BTW if I just enter the link from the trust seal directly into the browser, it opens fine. I am using this tutorial he http://www.switchonthecode.com/tutor...-jquery-plugin here is my code so far: my JS file: // run rating jQuery.fn.ratings = function(stars, initialRating) { //Save the jQuery object for later use. var elements = this; //Go through each object in the selector and create a ratings control. return this.each(function() { //Make sure intialRating is set. if(!initialRating) initialRating = 0; //Save the current element for later use. var containerElement = this; //grab the jQuery object for the current container div var container = jQuery(this); //Create an array of stars so they can be referenced again. var starsCollection = Array(); //Save the initial rating. containerElement.rating = initialRating; //Set the container div's overflow to auto. This ensure it will grow to //hold all of its children. container.css('overflow', 'auto'); //create each star for(var starIdx = 0; starIdx < stars; starIdx++) { //Create a div to hold the star. var starElement = document.createElement('div'); //Get a jQuery object for this star. var star = jQuery(starElement); //Store the rating that represents this star. starElement.rating = starIdx + 1; //Add the style. star.addClass('jquery-ratings-star'); //Add the full css class if the star is beneath the initial rating. if(starIdx < initialRating) { star.addClass('jquery-ratings-full'); } //add the star to the container container.append(star); starsCollection.push(star); //hook up the click event star.click(function() { //set the containers rating containerElement.rating = this.rating; // document.voteform.submit(); //When clicked, fire the 'ratingchanged' event handler. //Pass the rating through as the data argument. elements.triggerHandler("ratingchanged", {rating: this.rating}); }); star.mouseenter(function() { //Highlight selected stars. for(var index = 0; index < this.rating; index++) { starsCollection[index].addClass('jquery-ratings-full'); } //Unhighlight unselected stars. for(var index = this.rating; index < stars; index++) { starsCollection[index].removeClass('jquery-ratings-full'); } }); container.mouseleave(function() { //Highlight selected stars. for(var index = 0; index < containerElement.rating; index++) { starsCollection[index].addClass('jquery-ratings-full'); } //Unhighlight unselected stars. for(var index = containerElement.rating; index < stars ; index++) { starsCollection[index].removeClass('jquery-ratings-full'); } }); } }); }; $(document).ready(function() { $('#example-1').ratings(10).bind('ratingchanged', function(event, data) { $('#example-rating-1').text(data.rating); }); }); My html: PHP Code: echo '<form action="stream.php?task=vote" name="voteform" method="post"> '; echo ' <div id="example-1"></div> <input id="example-rating-1" type="hidden" name="score" value="0"/>'; echo '</form>'; Heres what i want it to do, I want it to submit the form once a star has been clicked, i already achieved this with the document.voteform.submit() in comments in the JS file but i cant seem to get the input to change so that it submits the actual user vote value. Please help me Anyone ever did this before? domain1.com will have a paragraph of one currency price domain2.com will have the same paragraph with a different currency price. Hello everyone! I'm currently doing an assignment which involves a snack machine. I'm currently working on the PacketOfCrisp class. It needs to start with 10 crisps, and have a boolean field for whether or not it's closed. This field is called open and is obviously set to false when the object is created. It also needs to give out some messages, ie if the packet is not open then a message should appear saying that the packet is closed. If the pack has no crisps left a message should appear saying as such. Other than that when selecting eatCrisp the amount of crisps in the packet should go down by one. Here is what I have so far: Code: public void eatCrisp() { if(open = false) { System.out.println("Open packet"); } else if (open = true && numOfCrisps >= 1) { numOfCrisps = numOfCrisps - 1; } else { System.out.println("No Crisps!"); } } Now for some reason when I invoke eatCrisp it takes out a crisp and changes the "open" field of the object to true and I can't figure out why. As far as I can figure it should be giving me a message of "Open packet" until I open the packet with the "openPacket" method, but instead "eatCrisp" is doing that by itself. Any ideas? Hello I was at the javascriptkit.com and was to use one of there Javascript calenders in my web page the "Popup Date Picker" and the "Date Time Picker". I have the calenders working fine and after the date is selected it fills in the correct textbox with the date. The problem is after the user selects the date in the calender popup window I would like it to run another javascript function. But I cannot see in the calender code how to have it call my javascript code. I also tried the OnChange event with the Textbox that the Calenders are filling in with the date but it only fires when I click in the textbox. I call the Calenders JavaScript functions from my JavaScript script function that is tied to an aspropDownList OnChange Event. Is there any way I can have these calenders call a javascript function when the date is selected in there window? Or could I try to catch when the textbox is filled in with the date and call my function then? Thanks Mike I have an ajax dependent drop down set up for location fields and am having trouble figuring out how to clear the dependent selects if the parent select is changed to blank. I set up a function to clearFields: Code: <script> function clearFields() { document.getElementById('cb_state').value = ""; } </script> And then set the parent to clearFields onchange: Code: onchange='ajaxFunction();clearFields();' This doesn't clear the field, but even if it did it would clear the field on change regardless of what's selected, what I need is for the function to fire only if the blank option is selected. How do I need to go about this? Hey guys, I am not sure why this JavaScript is not working. Can you check it out please? Thanks. --Start-- <html> <head> <title>Guess it up! </title> </head> <body> <center> <b><font size="5" ><u><b>Guess it up!<br></b></u> <br > <font size="3" > This is out of five! <br > Type in your guess: <p> </p> </font> <input name="HisGuess" type="text" size=1 value=1> <p> <input name="StartButton" type="button" value="Guess" onclick="StartGame()"> </p> <p> <script> var TheRightNumber = Math.round(Math.random * 5); function StartGame() { if (TheRightGuess == HisGuess){ alert("You got it! Nice!") else{ alert("Guess again!") } } </script> --END-- Can anyone tell my why this is not working? All answers are appreciated. Hey all, I have a javascript object which I have created and it works fine until I remove the second message box from the program steps. The alert box was only ever meant to be there for error debugging to steop me through the code. Any ideas? Code: function hyper() { this.test = ""; this.load = function(lib, ver) { alert("Starting API Library Load"); var oHead = document.getElementsByTagName('HEAD').item(0); var oScript= document.createElement("script"); oScript.type = "text/javascript"; oScript.src=lib + "/" + ver + "/api.js"; oHead.appendChild( oScript); alert("Finished Loading Library"); switch(lib) { case "test": this.test = new test(); break; case "ads": this.ads = new HAds(); break; case "chat": this.chat = new HChat(); break; case "survey": this.survey = new HSurvey(); break; default: alert("No Library"); }; } } I wrote a script that should loop through the list of countries, and if the entry's width exceeds 70px, it should cut the extra letters and insert "..." at the end of the entry; My codes produces unexpected results. The script only modifies the entry"United States", by replacing it with "Cook Isla...". I suspect I don't use the while loop properly. Plus the script does not work at all in IE. Could someone have a look and give me a hint what went wrong. Thank you very much!!! Code: <html> <head> <title> Ellipse Practice </title> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8" /> <style type="text/css"> ul { width: 200px; margin-left: 100px; } span { white-space: nowrap; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function trancateAll() { var list=document.getElementsByTagName("li"); count=0; while (count<list.length) { var text=String(list[count].innerHTML); list[count].innerHTML='<span id="mySpan">'+text+'</span>'; mySpan=document.getElementById("mySpan"); mySpan.innerHTML=''; var charac=1; while( (mySpan.offsetWidth<70) && (charac<text.length)) { mySpan.innerHTML=text.substr(0,charac)+"..."; charac++; } count++; } } </script> </head> <body > <ul> <li> United States</li> <li> Australia</li> <li> New Zealand</li> <li> Democratic Republic of Congo</li> <li> Russian Federation</li> <li> Cook Islands</li> </ul> <input type="button" value="Truncate" onclick="trancateAll()"/> </body> </html> This code works in all browsers, Safari, Chrome, Firefox, but not IE 8 in which I'm testing right now for version. The code is below: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('#form_{picture_id}').ajaxForm(function() { $(function() { setTimeout(function() { $("#picture_description").show('blind', {}, 800) }, 1000); setTimeout(function() { $("#picture_description").hide('blind', {}, 800) }, 11000); }); }); }); </script> What am I doing wrong. The code simply calls the form, then shows a DIV via BLIND then hides it using the same effect. The picture_id in {} is simply smarty PHP. Any help is much much appreciated! Nothing is showing for FF. Any suggestions appreciated. This code is not working correctly when you type get_data it should only work if you already have typed load_hacker.
