JavaScript - Need Event Based Open Source Calender

recently i noticed that all of my embedded JavaScript code and external style sheets are being shown IN "view source."

this happens in all browsers ( IE, FF, Chrome, and Safari [windows]) ... oddly enough it only happens when viewing on my vista or win2k3 machines. is this something added to these OS's or the result of an installed program? has anyone seen this before?

Very new to Javascript (been a HTML/CSS guy for a while, but never really got into more than tinkering with other other people's Javascript coding), but I came across a situation I can't find canned coding for, and trying to create it from bits and pieces I Googled has led me to a dead-end.

In summary, I have a website that I frequently visit (FWIW, Firefox 3.x is my browser of choice) with many image sources referring to URLs that end with "-thumbnail.jpg". However, for better image quality, I am trying to use Greasemonkey to replace all instances of "-thumbnail.jpg" in the source of images on this site with "-bigthumbnail.jpg". The closest I could think of was to somehow use getElementsByTagName and innerHTML.replace, but realized that innerHTML does not do HTML, only content.

Below is as far as I tried to get on my own, I appreciate any assistance from the folks here to help a JS novice like myself, thanks! Code:

I was struggling with this calendar and didn't know how to fix this weird number that was displaying on the page right below the heading where it would be so easily seen. I asked jmrker and he had the trick to fix it! I had been using Code:

document.write(monthNum++);

and when I changed it to Code:

monthNum++;

the page worked perfectly!

i have a drop down which triggers a ajax call. The ajax response is a form with various fields depending upon the drop down option selected.

I have a text field in that response form which is to input the date. i have a calender widget and wish to display that as a popup with an onfocus or onclick on that text field. But becoz of the ajax response it does not let me do it.

I know the problem is in the creation and destruction of the element where the calender has to be displayed so i tried putting the callender intiialization function in another function and calling that onclick but id doesnt work. below is my modified javascript code for the initialization of the calendar.

But when debugging I see under el on the line marked with (1) that the onclick event is null. What am I doing wrong?!
PS:the event is attached, when I click on the button I get an alert message

is it possible to capture the control.event or element.event that was fired to invoke the onbeforeunload event.

for example, if a button is clicked and it causes the onbeforeunload event to fire can i determine which button was clicked.

I have a ondrag event handler and in that I am trying to retrieve e.ClientX but it always return 0 in Mozilla. Works fine in IE though.

I want to restrict opening my popup window if it is already opened. For simple scenario, it is quite possible to do but in my case --

1) When parent page is opening popup window, it is getting refreshed (required from client for some reason).

2) Once submit button is clicked from popup window, again parent page is getting refreshed (again its a requirement from client side).

With these 2 conditions, I lost my saved value from variable and hence new popup is keep coming when the action is same.

Currently I am using below code to open popup

I do write some php, but have not much idea about JavaScript.

I use window.open to open 10 pages simultaneously. I prefer to open them with a time delay from each other to put less load on the target server. This is my code with no delay. (I played around with setTimeout but can't get it to work.)

what i want to do is that am developing a javascript webpage which requires some info to be taken out of a certain webpage, and in the url of that webpage i can enter the query, so i wanted to know if there was any method to get the source of the webpage and store it in a varabile so i can scan it for the required info.
