JavaScript - Javascript - How To Send Value Of This Form???
Hi all. I have a form that I am writing which needs to send information contained inside a textbox when the user presses the "Post Comment" button. I want it be sent as a parameter to the addComment() function. How can you do this??? I have been trying to figure it out for a while now but can't seem to get the syntax right. This is what my code looks like currently.
If possible I would like this to work without referencing the name of this form. Hi How do I send an array created in jQuery or Javascript to PHP? (page will be redirected to PHP) I'm thinking of URL parameters right now, but wont that result to a long URL? This doesn't. It outputs Array content lost. Id also like to point out the the url of this page is send_array_to_other_page_2.php. Then the script creates 3 new divs, with that ID included in them as an attribute. Now, I need to be able to grab the ID and give it back to PHP when the user updates it. (It's currently a div, but later it will be an editable form.) I was going to do this by creating a button in the same script that I use to create the divs, bearing the same integer and calling a function. The problem with this concept, is that I have no idea how to create a Unique variable to pass along to the function, so it knows which number to look at. Obviously, if I have only one variable that gets overwritten with each new entry - after all of the rows load, only the last row will have a variable that matches its id. Another option is to find the value of all attributes that bear the name data-integer-question and pass its number/integer to a function, when the user does something like keyup enter. However, I have no idea how to do that. obj.returnIntJson holds the integer that I've been talking about, which changes for each row. rowNumberObj.qarowcontainer is just a reference for the parent div, which doesn't get edited by the user - you can ignore it. Hi Guys, im using chrome and ff and it worked fine till i tested on ie7 and the form just wont send on ie7. it gives me a validation error msg "SOME VALUES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE" when i try to submit. ive tried so many things and i cant figure out why ie7 wont send upon submit like ff does, code seems to be fine, pls see validation coding line 7 - 32 , any jsGURU advice will be much appreciated! I've literally tried everything. Read 26 tutorials, interchanged code, etc. My validation functions all work. My AJAX functions work (tested manually using servlet URL's). The second servlet validates the reCaptcha form that's generated on my webpage. After the form is validated, even if everything's correct, nothing happens upon clicking submit. I even have an alert pop up if with the captcha result, just for middle-layer debugging purposes. I want to do all of my validation clientside; none serverside. However, going to be tough if I can't get my god damn form to submit. I've been puzzled by this for close to 36 hours straight. I'm a long time lurker on here just barely created an account to ask this question. I work at a call center, and we use different webapps to fill out tickets. One I've used for a long time allows dynamically updating forms with javascript. I have a whole bunch of bookmarked javascript injections like: Code: javascript:if((top.detail.findObj('X31').value="Inquiry")!="");
That code will fill out most everything in that ticket, leaving me to fill in the details. I have one of those for all of the most common tickets, and can create and finish a ticket in less than 30 seconds when it takes others 3-4 minutes. I recently switched to a different system and I'm having trouble with my code. I'm a noob at javascript for sure, but I'm not new to programming. Anyway any pointers would be nice. The system we use doesn't allow me to see the source... I'm not sure how to explain it. It loads everything in a frame. In chrome I can right click then inspect element and get the ID but it the above javascript doesn't work. I can't just drop the PHP Code: <?php $country = $_SESSION['country']; ?> into the SELECT value because it will brake the alphabetical listing, which is why I am wondering if JavaScript can do it this way, as this way wouldn't brake the alphabetical listing?
