Hello,

I have an image scroll on my site that uses JavaScript. Each individual image/slide can be linked to a url. My problem is that it opens a new window when you click an image, and I want it to simply open the new link in the same window.

Javascript Grid And Scroll.to

Hi,

This is my plan. I want to create a 3x3 grid on the page. Each square needs to be the height and width of the page. I will then use jquery scroll.to to move the grid, dispalying a different square to the user.

Am I right in thinking that I wont be able use 100% width and 100% height in my CSS for the single box, since there are actually going to 8 squares that are off the page?

I am guessing therefore that I should use javascript to take the window width and height, and then use this value to create each of the gridbox's. Is this the right way of doing it?

hi i am using an image scroller and i have it on three pages, the pages use the same header, the same css and the same basic structure.

such as

table
content
footer

the problem is that the scroller works fine on two of the pages but does not work at all on the one page.

here is what i am getting on that page

the only common denominator i can see is that the page it does NOT work on is in fact a photo manager page, the other two (that DO work dont deal with photos)

i checked the array and the js vars and stuff are different from my photo manager vars (php) so i was thinking maybe there might be a clash of some kind accessing the queries at the same time when the page loads but i dont get any errors other than these.

by the way the scroller is black not grey like the others for background.

does it sound like from the errors that i am getting that it might be a db query clash of somekind or do you know anything about those errors above that might give me a clue whats going on.

I am brand new to Javascript, have been studying on Lynda.com for almost a week trying to get the hang. I found a cool scrolling effect with controls here at the very bottom of the page, and have built a page just trying to duplicate the html and js below. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Image Change Scroll Page To Top

Hi, I have this simple code for gallery on my page. And everything working fine but when i click on small picture to change big picture if I'm page scroll up to top of page. So i scroll to the gallery change picture ad page scroll up to the top. What could be the reason? Here is live axample:

I'm using this script to scroll two divs, which each activates self scrolling onMouseOver and onMouseOut deactivate scrolling by setting allowscroll varible to 0.
And everything works fine, but this script doesn't allow to scroll browser entire page!
So is there a script wich will scroll browser page when allowscroll is equal to 0?

I am using the below script on http://bubbles4urtroubles.com. Because I made the bubbles larger than the ones used in the original script, the horizontal scroll bar displays some of the time, then turns off. Is there any way to just not have the horizontal scroll bar?

Also, how would I set the zindex so the bubbles are always in front of everything else.

I am working on a page that has a jQuery full browser BG image and I am trying to also utilize a MooTools gallery. There seems to be some interference between the two JavaScripts as only one works (whichever one is last in order in the header of the HTML document).

Hi I've searched this forum and found nothing that fits my problem.

I used Gimp. I have a map that I have split up into about 5 regions that are all linked to Google for now. (links to be changed later on).

I selected the JavaScript tab an then typed into the mouseover box.

Here is part of the code it produces in the .map file:

Javascript Flip Image Help

I am trying to make a webpage displaying a card trick. What I want to do is have the user click on the card and then it flips the image. However I am having trouble doing this. Right now I have it set to flip when the user hovers over the card. I thought I could change it but I guess not.

Hi guys, I already posted this but it hasn't been approved by a mod or the mods are all at lunch or something lol.

I want to display an image using javascript instead of HTML (or use javascript to change the HTML code dynamically when an update is made). I have created an XML file, which contains text data which is displayed in HTML by using Javascript.

What I am having trouble with is getting Javascript to grab the image URL from the XML file, and then display that image in the correct div. How does one show an image by using javascript? and how do you get javascript to get the url from the XML?

I am working on a simple image crossfade for my website, and i downloaded a good file folder with a javascript code that works well. it's exactly what i'm trying to achieve. yet, when i put in the code into my webpage index it doesn't fade like it should. the images fade out but don't cross-fade into each other.

I tried testing the original file/script with alternate images/jpgs to see if my images were messing things up but it was fine, yet when i use MY webpage in MY root folder it doesn't work. so is there something wrong with my rootfolder that is messing up the javascript?

i'm pulling my hair out because the code looks fine to me. please help!

Hello. I am having trouble with a simple image gallery with navigational buttons including "first", "next", "previous", and "last"; and making a drop-down archive menu.

1. For the most part, the image gallery works. The problem is that when a user clicks on "next", and then "prev", the last image is not displayed. On the other hand, if a user clicks "prev", and then "next" the last image is displayed(works normally).

2. The way I am displaying the last image, the function last(), is not efficient. It simply refreshes the page in order to display the last image.

Basic overview: The images follow a simple standard: page1, page2, page3,...page64; they are in a subfolder "img". The function changeImage() changes the image from the prev, to the next. The image gallery displays the last image in the gallery; when a user clicks on 'prev' it goes to the previous image, and go to the next image when clicked on 'next'. If the current image is the last image, and the user clicks on 'next', it goes to the very first image.

I followed this tutorial to create a clickable image slideshow with javascript on a site's homepage.

However, it appears that the javascript:slidelink() is still running beyond the intended area as some of my content below the container is now underlined as if it were a link, when it should not be. I can tell that the script is the issue because when hovering over the content it shows "javascript:slidelink()" but will not go to anything when clicked.

Follow the link above and click on the pic to the right to open the pop up image gallery. For some reason the thumbs do not appear in the left preview pane until a rollover of the preview pane slide bar. This only occurs in IE. Firefox and Chrome both show the thumbs when opened and work just fine.
