JavaScript - Send An Email When User Clicks A Link
I want to send a simple email with just email & subject only when the user clicks a link that opens a pdf. I'm thinking javascript is the best way to do this but I have no idea how. I have googled it a bunch but most information is about getting an email when someone clicks a link you send in an email. I don't want that. This is on a website. I'm not sure if php would be better to use. Any help would be most appreciated!

Hi Everyone, I want to execute a script when the user clicks the button. Currently in my html doc. i have the button declared. <input type="button" id ="button" onclick='notEmpty() value="Play"/> When the button is clicked, i execute the notEmpty() function and I want to execute a script inside the notEmpty(). Hi, "This happens only in chrome browser" I am trying to design a website and it has a couple of radio button on the first page. I selected one radio button and navigated to the next page. On my second page, if i hit back button, the first page show the radio option that i selected(which is correct) but when I hit save and continue it throws a JS error "please select one option". I had a alert in SetEntity(Value) function and value is empty when the back button is clicked. I did some research and found that Chrome does not cache the form data. If this is true is there a work around for this? Please help. Thanks. I have 16 links on a page, when each link is clicked, I need to change text that is on the page. I have two buttons in popup window, "Cancel" and "Save". If the user clicks either button, there is a "process" at parent window before close() at popup being called. The problem now is, if the user click the "X" sign at top right corner of that popup window, how to trigger the "process"? When the view results button is clicked in the form I need the user to be directed to a specific page based on the selections they have made. The subsequent dropdowns form variables that I need to be sent to the page so that the data the user sees on that page is relevant. ie if the user has chosen bikes then a specific manufacturer then a specific price range the page they will be sent to will be the bike.php page with all the manufacturer specific bikes in their chosen price range visible. I had thought about using the php header script along with an if statement but how do I then go about getting the variables sent to the page to be recognised? I am programatically trying to send multiple emails from within javascript code. I have read forums with different ideas and have not found a true solution. The problem I am having is as follows: - in one try - i am using window.location="mailto:"+emailList - this works great if it only needs to generate 1 email, but I am doing it in a loop. when it loops through the 2nd time, it does not create a 2nd email - in a 2nd try - i am using window.open("mailto:"+emailList - this does open multiple emails, but it also opens multiple windows. My goal is to take a user's email from a form, store it in a cookie, and append it to the window location on the following page. I am doing this so that when a user shares the page with "add this widget" the stats will show me who shared the page. The problem I have is that window.location.replace("?"+ user_email); seems to be sending the browser in an infinite loop. Right now it is running as an inline function in the head. I'm trying to stop users from messing with GET forms (and i have to use them, POST wouldn't make sense in this case). Thanks When the user visits a page, an iframe will be displayed. What is the best way to force the user to click something in this iframe? I suppose I could do that thing where the mouse always has a part of a div "glued" to it, so wherever they click, the certain area is clicked. But, then they could just hit the back button. If you think this is the best way, could you please provide some code if you have some, or give me the name of this (I forget what this specific method is called)?
