JavaScript - Jump To New Page Based On Form Data
Hi,
I want my page to jump to a different page based on data collected in the form input fields. I can jump to a new page alright, using the following javascript: 1. javascript code in form_a.html document.forms["form_A"].action = "page_x.html"l; document.forms["form_A"].submit(); 2. document.forms[0].action = "page_x.html"l; 3. window.locaton = "page_x.html"; 4. window.location.href = "page_x.html"; The problem is, I can see the new page was jumped to, but immediately it return back to the page that trigger the jump. Any idea? I need to finish the project before Christmas. Any help is greatly appreciated! However I would like to be able to calculate a price for the items based on what size the user selects as well as the quantity. I want to have several forms on one page that are not displayed until a selection is made from the category drop down box(select element). The form displayed will depend on the selection made. hi there, i'm new here and pretty new to js. i'm making a page for my daughter's school - or trying to. they are having a silent auction and i'm trying to make a very simple bidding page. where i'm running into problems is passing the bid to a text box (read only) where it can be updated when a new bid is entered. I would like this to be in the upper part of the page with the listings of the auction items, i just can't wrap my head around how to do this. I want to use Javascript to submit a form - without filling the form in physically Is this possible? Let's say a web page has a form that submit First Name and Last Name to the next page Instead of filling in the form and hitting submit, can I submit the data in variables and call the next page somehow using Javascript? Thanks OM I have a "pre-order" opt-in page disguised as a "step 1" in the order process of a clickbank product I'm ready to launch. I'm wanting to pass the user's first name, last name, and email address (built into the optin form) over to the clickbank order page upon submit. Clickbank gives me the data strings you can pass along, but I'm not sure how to properly configure this function or where to place it in my page code. The problem is, I need the value of "amount" to change (be assigned) if they chose "other". To take the value from the text input box "other_amount" and assign it to "amount" but only if they chose the 5th radio button. I have some JS that I hacked together that checks to see if they chose the 5th radio button. attempts to assign the "other amount" to "amount" and then pops up an alert (only so I know the script is pushing the right value - wont be needed when complete.) However, Even though the alert pops up with the proper "other_amount" as if it has been assigned properly, the data is not sent on properly I presume, as it is the only aspect of the paypal donation amount form that is not working or providing the next page with the right "amount" pre-determined. The script should add the skipperfee to the total if the skipperReg box is checked, multiply the guestFee by the guestQty and add that to the total if the guestReg box is checked, and add the miscTotal to the total if the miscAmt box is checked. Hi, Please i am not getting clear understanding of a javascript code to redirect user to a different web page based on the day of the week. Clement Osei What I would like to do is have a page with a dropdown menu, and depending on which option the user chooses from the dropdown, reload the page and display a particular iframe below the dropdown, based on the users choice. Also, a default iframe would load (the one connected to the default choice in the select box). Hopefully that makes sense. I was trying to make this work with PHP (without having the user having to click a submit button) but I couldn't find a way to make it happen.
So I am trying to make a form that will eventually take the user to a specified link. It is a form that uses drop down menus. I based this off of someone elses code (with permission ), but it shows everything <= user input.
