When designing a web page, you may come across a situation where you want to combine content from multiple websites in a single window. Could the "iframe" tag makes this possible? If so, as it will separate your page design into several sections and display a different website in each one? Your answers are much appreciated. Thank you for watching me. Hi, I hope someone can help me. I'll be honest and say I don't know much about javascript, but am fairly comfortable in html. I am building a website that will have multiple image swaps on multiple pages. I am building this in wordpress, and I'm guessing that means my approach will be different than if I wasn't using wordpress. Here's how one page would work: There are 10 images shown. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. When number 1 is clicked on, I want a new image - 1a. When 2 is clicked on, 2a. So there are 20 different images in all on a given page. Also, I want the user to be able to click on the image again to restore the original image. I would prefer onclick to onmouseover. There will be literally dozens of pages like this on the site, managed by wordpress, so hundreds of images to swap. Basically the first image is a question - the second image is the answer. Is this possible? I am looking for a way to add multiple items with a single URL to my shopping cart. any ideas? cheers, I'm working in iWeb (I had to say that first). I need to create (using JAVASCRIPT) a text box with a button. When the button is clicked, the contents of the box are added to the URL (the url is in the code, probably a variable, for this example it is mydomain.wordpress.com/) and the url produced loads. For example, if the text "Hello" was printed in the text box once the button is clicked the page mydomain.wordpress.com/Hello is loaded.
I'm having a problem with one of my Labs and My TA is not answering emails. I need to make a button, that when you click it, turns the bgColor blue, when you click it twice, it turns bgColor yellow, and a third time turns it orange. The tricky part is, I need to use an internal CSS style sheet for the color, and a function for the javascript. Here is what I have so far, but I'm completely stuck. I am trying to tie the value of an image src to two onChange events. the events are drop down boxes in a form. I do have a couple of single event driven peices working so I think my logic is sound. I originally tried to do this with multiple if statements that tested both conditions/events. I have since given each event it's own function. I appreciate any help I can get from anyone. Thanks! This may seem a bit of an unusual question, but I've been tossing around an idea in my head for an experimental collaborative art & music website. I've not started building the site at all, and I've only a little HTML and no scripting experience. I plan on most likely using a service like squarespace for the ease of updating and member system and other features. (I imagine a few around here scoff at that kind of service! But that's beside the present issue.) So I imagine that if javascript is capable of handling this, it's not an extremely complicated solution. For example: say I have a song I'd like users to be able to listen to, but I want to split the parts (drums, strings, guitars, vocals, etc.) among a few different audio files, all embedded within close proximity of each other (say arranged vertically in two columns) on the same page. I want this so that users are free to play around with the parts, dropping them, lowering & raising volume, even pulling them out of sync if they please. Now what I want is a single button that will trigger all of the audio files to begin playback simultaneously, say, above the embedded files and centered. Would this be possible? Good day Lets say I have a page with 3 thumbnails and one big div. When click in one of the thumbnails the image of it must appear inside the big div. Of course there are 3 images (little ones for the thumbnails) and 3 big images for the real size ones. Script this is simple for me but imposible if I have more than 100 pages within 6 images inside them (3 little and 3 real size for 3 thumnail divs and one single big div). There must be some kind of order to just script the divs of the thumbnail divs and the real size image div in all the pages at ones, otherwise I have to creat ID's to every single div inside every single page! (4 id's to one page and I have more than 100 pages!, this is inpractical because is posible that in the future the pics change, is more than 400 id's) For example: for FIRST.html big div (div id="img001bg") thumb1 div (div id="th_img001" thumb2 div (div id="th_img002" thumb3 div (div id="th_img003" SECOND.html THIRD.html ... Access to these pages through FTP is granted to 3 people, myself, my boss, and a contract programmer. Unfortunately, the FTP server wasn't set to log, so I can't tell for sure if it was the programmer, but my assumption and suspicion is that it was him. This code was inserted at the bottom of multiple pages. I can't make heads or tails of it, but it cannot be good, whatever it is. When I view the page that it was on, I noticed the web browser connecting to http://over-blog-com.alice.it.baixin...rseasilver.ru/. Browsing to this page takes you to some foreign hosting site. Googling superseasilver.ru only provides a page that has this address listed in a blacklist. I'd like to know what this code does, but again, I have no idea... So I figured maybe some of you JavaScript gurus could take a look and be able to tell me. Any information would be greatly appreciated, as we hired this programmer through odesk.com, and will be filing a complaint for refund and him being banned from the site. I can change the stylesheet on a page by page basis (eg. from red style to blue style) but once the user navigates to a different page the stylesheet resets back to the original setting. For example, when the user visits the site first its set to the red style, they can change it to blue but when they navigate to another page the style goes back to red again where as I want the style to stick across pages. My work involves making GUI's for IPTV set-top-boxes. I both design and implement the user interfaces, which involves doing heavy JavaScript programming (actually it involves creating a framework). How it works in a nutshell is; a browser runs on the set-top-box. When a user presses buttons on the remote controls the browser receives those events as e.g. "UP", "DOWN", "OK", "PROGRAM_UP", "PROGRAM_DOWN", etc. events. They need to be handled by a custom javascript code. But here's where the problems begin. Ordinary web interfaces can depend on the mouse (or finger on touchscreens) for context, the user can press any button anywhere on the interface without a hassle. In TV interfaces you don't have that touchscreen ability, you have to manage some sorts of state/context of what the user is doing and where the user has it's "selection", and decide what to do next if he presses any other buttons, like "OK". The user can be zapping channels with PROGRAM_UP and PROGRAM_DOWN remote control buttons, or the user can be browsing movies by selecting poster with arrow keys and rent with OK. I have to manage this context in JavaScript, handle the input events and modify model/view accordingly. This feels awkward, or wrong. So, that's why I am here. What would you do, if you were given a set-top-box, with Opera/HTML5 support, and the only input is a stateless remote-control. Ideas?
