JavaScript - How To Email Information And Display Results?
Can anyone help me with a little project I'm been lumbered with?
I've been given the task of building a carbon offset calculator What I need to do is have a webpage on a touchscreen kiosk that allows a visitor to the client enter their name/company/email address, plus select how they travelled to the premises and their departing post code. When they submit the form, I need it to email the details to the client so they can produce a nice little certificate saying how many trees have been planted to offset the visitors journey - but I also need it to display the details on screen before resetting itself for the next Prius driving visitor to use. I've got to the stage where I can EITHER capture all the details needed and email them OR capture all the details needed and calculate the distance travelled, KGs of CO2 expended and how many trees are needed and display them. I'm having difficulty getting it to do both! Thanks in advance! I would like to put two dropdown boxes where the user can select either the name or the number. Then based upon the users selection have both the name and number appear. I'm thinking of putting all the data in an array and using the dropdowns to query the array. That sounds good but I'm new to javascript and a detailed example of how to do this would be needed, if its even the right approach to take to accomplish this. Right I have google maps connected to a database which holds stockists and their information. The user enters their postcode and radius and markers are put on the map of stockists in the radius of their postcode. I have this all working fine and the database chucks the information into an xml file fine. The problem im having is displaying the information in the pop up window of the marker. I have forms and I only need to input is the Demanded Qty, and from Demanded Qty that I input it will compute the demanded qty for each Item Code. Now my problem is I don't know on how can it possible that while i input the quantity it will also autodisplay the demanded qty for each materials. Noted: the Demanded Qty that will auto display is display only on the Demanded Qty you input per Items. However, if possible, I would like to display the results inside the website structure rather than on a new page - is there an easy way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help. I have a small form that I'm working on for a client. They want a form that their potential leads can fill out and then hit 'calculate rate'. Once this is done, the results should display on another page with a short summary of what their quote will be as well as some of the other information they filled out. It should also send an email to my client displaying the information that their lead just filled out. My only problem is I am not sure how to go about the calculation part. If you look at the bottom you can see where the Function that Calculates everything is. Right now it calculates onClick. I just want it to calculate after the user has filled out the form completely and display that calculation on another page along with the rest of the information they inputted. view the rest of my comments works on the first page but when i extend the search results the rest of the view comments wont expand. click View all 3 comments and it will show all comments then click more button try to click the view all comments on the next comment and nothing happens but the screen jumping up to the top. http://www.runningprofiles.com/membe...ll_Script.php# Why is this?? Can you please point out a few things i'm eager to learn how to Forward User to email provider after he creates his account . I implemented this with iform element and added div element same size as iform to the end of the body, so my panel will not hide the end of page . The problem is adding this panel to sites like gmail. in this case I cant add element to the end of page and it's hide part of content. Hello. The link below is the result of a product search on a website. It displays 2 results. However, the actual results (picture & information) that are displayed on the web page are not present in the "Page Source". For example, if you search the page source for the string '860723' (which is one of the product numbers visible on the web page) it is not there. What is going on here? It looks to me like dummy images & information in the HTML are first loaded by the browser, and then that dummy info gets replaced by the real information via a javascript function. The problem is that the information I want isn't present in the source. It stands to reason that the information is somehow being sent to the browser because I can see it... any ideas?
