JavaScript - Problem Relating To Javascript:openwindowaudio()

What I am trying to do here is make is so that when my link is clicked it opens the link in a new fullscreen window and then at the same time as the link is clicked start playing the embedded audio on the original page. The code below seems to work but I'm having problems getting it to work consistently with different browsers etc. For instance it works in Chrome on my work computer but on my home computer in Chrome the embedded audio starts to play as soon as the page is loaded regardless of whether you click the link or not. It also only seems to work on and off with other browsers such as Firefox and IE. Another weird issue seems to be that the first time I load a page with this code on it and click the link, the page opens in a new window but the audio doesn't play. If I then close the new window, refresh the page and try it again the audio does play and then works every time after that. Any ideas why that might be? The most important thing is that it works in as many browsers as possible. So really my questions boil down to a) is this code the best way of doing what I want to do b) if it is are there any tweaks or changes that would make it compatible in more browsers. Similar TutorialsMorning Guys, i have a little issue i need to tackle and i belive Javascript is the way forward on this, so looking for some pointers/help on the idea i have in mind. so basically i have a website and its going to be selling severall products. now i have a "Global" navigation which stays the same on every page throughout the website. now obviously if this is set into the master template all the links will be the same. 1 of my links will be a "buy now" button, i want this to never need changing but i want the link to direct to the correct purchasing page depending on which product is being described in the content area... so im guessing its going to need to fetch some sort of Value/Variable out the content and then use that to redirect to the correct page via that single "buy now" button.. any ideas or input cheers, ant. With the current code on bacakomik.php, I only can change the img src of id "im" in the same directory only. What I want is that the Javascript could "add" the "$exploded[0]" variable so that the picture can be loaded from different directory. Anyone can do this? I believe that the fix should be somewhere on input tag inside OnClick, or do you know where? etc... what it does is basically switch videos, when a link is click. The problem in IE is that the video continues to play when switched... meaning that videos play 'over the top of each other'. I am basically trying to access XML elements (RSS feed) through a bit of PHP. Everything is working fine when trying to access the <title> and <link>, but when I get to <description> everything breaks down... If I comment out this line var theDescription = descriptions[j].childNodes[0].nodeValue; and <p>' + theDescription + '</p>' then the script works fine and displays the titles and the links of the feed, but with those lines in it all goes to pot. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here? Hi im wondering if someone could be of some help please, im a newbie to javascript and after some help and advice if possible please. Ive used a template from the web which was a quiz template. Im just trying to get my javascript script to work. I want it to populate my html question/advice box so people can input what there answer to the question and it will give them advice.
