JavaScript - Colorbox Issues With Js Crawler ... Or Is It Me?
About a year ago I conceived of a monstrously foolish concept: Multiple Multidirection Conveyor Belt slideshows with Lightbox.
With the help of the creator of jsCrawler, jscheuer, we made things work but I couldn't leave well enough alone. (the og thread for said discussion is here - no one seems to be home over there these days: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/a...p/t-49625.html ) Before my beta site ever got off the ground I decided that Colorbox was more elegant ... and I still think so but dang if it didn't muss things up. The issue is this: the first click will give you the "rel="nofollow" target=_blank" effect, but all subsequent clicks will successfully trigger the Colorbox js. Check it out: http://www.coreyshead.com/beta/monstersandrobots.html Now I know it's nuts, that I'm totally hogging CPU with this boneheaded thing - and I may trim it down to three crawlers in the long run, or maybe even one, but the issue remains. What's tripping things up? I've tried all manner of things any non-js coder might but am obviously missing something: reordering the head, stripping elements to find the culprit. All I could come up with was: "Colorbox and Crawler don't play well together." What am I missing? Thanks. My problems a The slideshow stops after one chage Why is this? Also could someone tell me who i could add more images, and how to link each one to a page. and my question is, is there a reason to actually null the variables if they will be redeclared any way on the following second? I have a quick search box in my home page that I can't seem to get working properly. When the user types in the input field and hits the "Add" button, the word they typed in appears in a box below the "Add" button. I got that, no problem. The issue arises because I want the user to be able to hover over any of the words they typed in, see some visual change (like text color changing), and be able to click the word to delete it. Right now, when the user hits the "Add" button, a function is called and the word is stored to an array. Then I have a for() loop to display the contents of the array, but the for() is only displaying one word on the screen and it is the most recent word that was added. How can I make this right? I've having a problem with alignment on my portfolio. Works great in FireFox, but not in IE7 - it doesn't even get to the else alert statement. This is how it is called.. onkeypress='lostfocus($current,$productNum,event)' And that is inside of a input type=text element. And help would be greatly appreciated. When I enter the data into my form then submit it, it is supposed to be inserted into my MySql database but I get the following error: "Unable to save data to database: Incorrect date value: '3-31-2001' for column 'sent_date' at row 1" The sent_date field is the first date field the user types in. The second code is the part of the greeting message that shows a different greeting message depending on the time (ex.: Good morning "Firstname name", welcome to my site (if it's morning)). The tricky thing is I can't seem to figure out how to input it in the coding. Do I need to make another file and then SRC it? My website has a demonstration facility which allows a client to enter their website which then in turn creates a video transparency overlaying their own website. The problem is some sites with Flash, overlay my transparency video so that you cant see my demo video. Any ideas please. Thanks Maximillion |
