JavaScript - Mouseover On Definition List Effect
There is an effect I would like to do but I don't know how it is done. To see something like it go to: http://www.schillmania.com/ then mouseover the right side items under "most recently".
It seems like there is a dt link which when mouseover occurs the dd data is presented. Any ideas on how it is done? Similar TutorialsHi everyone, i am looking for a tutorial or example file i can download that features the following mouseover effect: http://www.webdesignerwall.com/demo/...ed-hover2.html i have tried googling for tutorials and have tried to view source on the above page but when pasted into dreamweaver i cannot seem to get the effect to work. can anyone help??? thanks! I got this javascript Click sound effect to work - http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/...oundlink.shtml My question is how do I make it work on my iphone4 ? I tested the above site on my phone and there is no audio when I tap the screen. The html5 <audio> seems to work with my mobile device on this site - http://css-tricks.com/examples/SoundOnHover/ I am new to javascript thx Hi people ! I went to this page: http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/....shtml#current and I applied that script to my website, everything work perfectly. I only have a question about it: * What should I add to the code to avoid the sound activate even when I'm hovering over the margin of the image? * Would it be possible that the sound activate only when the mouse is hovered over the image and not the margin as well ? * Is the only solution; to insert every image in their own div and then letting the div handle the margin? this is the site www.blackbandanamovement.com the images I'm talking about are in the footer. thanks in advance Hi guys, any help will be greatly appreciated... The problem: Hover effect is painfully slow IE (only IE) and table mouseover causes very high processor usage When you move the mouse over table elements flash animation stutters/pauses (making flash banners impossible) You can se the page he fondovi (there's a flash animation on the right side of the page (light grey/blue color)) Hi all, I am using the following script posted on this site: http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/...oundlink.shtml It works great, but I want to extend this script and mute the sound using a checkbox. This checkbox has the id: sound. If checked, I want to hear the sounds, when unchecked, no sounds should be heard. This is the code I currently have for the checkbox: Code: function playSound() { if (document.getElementById('sound').checked){ -something needs to be added here to make it work?- } } Anyone have an idea how to make this work? Many thanks I have gotten my script to do exactly what I want it to do with one exception. I have some thumbnail images that people can mouse over and the actual image is 100px by 75px. That is what I use for my thumbnail and they reside in www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg. I have the large version of the image that resides in www.website.com/images/image1.jpg. Its actual size is 640px by 480. When I mouse over my thumbnail, I don't want the thumbnail to appear for the larger image, I want the large image to appear instead? Let me know if you need ellaboration. Any help would be great! Thank you. Javascript Code: <script language="JavaScript"> function Change_Big_One(thumb){ document.getElementById('BigOne').src=thumb.src.replace("_th","") } </script> HTML THUMBNAIL Code: <div><img src="https://www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg" class="thumb" onMouseOver="Change_Big_One(this)"></div> HTML LARGER IMAGE Code: <div><img src="" id="BigOne"></div> Hope you can help. I'm currently building a website and trying to integrate a javascript image 'tranisition' effect into mm_swapimage and failing. My knowledge of Javascipt is limited but without knowing the 'arguments' for mm_swapimage, it's impossible (looks similar to vb, but can't find an answer anywhere) I want the effect to work on a 'timed' event rather than 'OnMouseOver' so have added script to change that (which is probably the issue!) I can get both to work idependantly but not together. I've simplified the page and pasted the code below, as it stands the 'effect' works, but it only uses the primary image, not the other image in the array. I'm using DW CS4 and the transition extension is called FlevOOware. Hi all, I have been struggling on a bit of code for a while now. I need to populate a second drop down list (Region) based upon the selection of the first (County). I have found a piece of code that works on its own and have adapted to suit my needs - see below. However, when I drop it into my main page the javascript is not working. It's because of the formObject but I just don't know enough to resolve this! Furthermore, I need the textboxes the user has already completed in the form to retain their value once the javascript kicks in as the completed form will submit to a database. This piece of code is working well . . . . Code: <?php $link = mysql_connect('myhost', 'myusername', 'mypassword') or die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); mysql_select_db('mydatabase') or die('Could not select database'); if(isset($_GET["County"]) && is_numeric($_GET["County"])) { $County = $_GET["County"]; } if(isset($_GET["Region"]) && is_numeric($_GET["Region"])) { $Region = $_GET["Region"]; } ?> <script language="JavaScript"> function autoSubmit() { var formObject = document.forms['theForm']; formObject.submit(); } </script> <form name="theForm" method="get"> <!-- County SELECTION BASED ON city VALUE --> <?php ?> <select name="County" onChange="autoSubmit();"> <option value=''</option> <?php //POPULATE DROP DOWN MENU WITH COUNTRIES FROM A GIVEN city $sql = "SELECT * FROM county_regions"; $counties = mysql_query($sql,$link); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($counties)) { echo ("<option value=\"$row[CountyID]\" " . It probably would be more appropriate here as there is much Javascript involved.... Hello, I am trying to construct a Jukebox for my website. I have spent considerable time all over the WEB and at this forum which addressed the issue in a 50 page thread. Please see: http://codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=50666 I got a lot of ideas from this thread but still cannot figure a way to do the following within the Jukebox. These are my main two questions for everything below: 1. How can I have the Jukebox cycle through all tunes and then start over from the beginning? 2. How can I allow the user to select a tune from a list but not a drop down list, have the Jukebox start from the user’s selection and then play all songs to the end. Then as in #1, start over from the beginning? Per this thread I came away with basically two ways to assemble the jukebox. One uses links in a drop down list which the user can choose from. The other is to use an .m3u playlist. The user can only select a “playlist” from the drop down. Below, I have included the code for each Jukebox. To see the Jukeboxes in action please go to my website where I have posted some test pages exhibiting the jukeboxes that I am referring to. The following is the Jukebox which utilizes an .m3u playlist. If I end up using this idea I would like the tunes in the .m3u playlist to be displayed and allow the user to be able to choose a tune in the list. Then have the list play to the end of all tunes in the list. Then start over from the beginning of the list. After this code is the .m3u playlist. Go to url removed and click on the link that says: “Media Player Using an .M3U Playlist” Jukebox utilizing an .m3u playlist: Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <title>Untitled Document</title> <style type="text/css"> body { text-align:center; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function PlayIt(what){ player.document.getElementById('music').innerHTML='<object width="300" height="300" ' +'classid="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" ' +'codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701" ' +'standby="Loading Microsoft Windows Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject">' +'<param name="url" value="'+what+'">' +'<param name="uiMode" value="full">' +'<param name="autoStart" value="true">' +'<param name="loop" value="true">' +'<embed type="application/x-mplayer2" ' +'pluginspage="http://microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/en/download/" ' +'showcontrols="true" uimode="full" width="300" height="45" ' +'src="'+what+'" autostart="true" loop="true">' +'</object>'; } </script> </head> <body> <div id="music"> <object width="300" height="300" classid="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701" standby="Loading Microsoft Windows Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject"> <param name="url" value=""> <param name="uiMode" value="full"> <param name="autoStart" value="true"> <param name="loop" value="true"> <embed type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/en/download/" showcontrols="true" uimode="full" width="300" height="45" src="" autostart="true" loop="true"> </object> </div> <br> <br> <select name="player" onchange="PlayIt(this.value)"> <option value="none">::Choose a Song::</option> <option value="JukeboxList.m3u">Jukebox List</option> </select><br> </html> Here is the .m3u playlist for the above code: Code: #EXTM3U #EXTINF:Bill Evans - G Waltz media/G Waltz.mp3 #EXTINF:Dan Pincus - In Your Time media/In Your Time.mp3 The following code is for the Jukebox that has a list of links in a dropdown list. If I go with this idea, I would like for the list not to be a dropdown list but just a list of tunes. The user should be able to click on any tune in the list and the player should start from that point, play all the remaining tunes in the list and then start from the beginning. Dan I would like to make an ordered list, for example: 1. Airplane 2. Boat 3. Car I'd like one of the words to be displayed on my webpage, for example: Boat Then I'd want an up button, and a down button. The up button would display Airplane instead of Boat, and the down button would display Car instead of Boat. Once it got to Car, the same up button would change it back to boat. How do I do this? Thanks. I want to add the the faded effect to the slide pics that I make them change by timer and I don't know how to add the faded effect and make it work on IE and Firefox.
I am using ASP.NET and AJAX here. basically what I want is a nice little slide effect to show the next batch of images in a mini slide show. Example: << prev [image1] [image2] [image3] [image4] Next >> << prev [image5] [image6] [image7] [image8] Next >> so when the user presses next or previous, it will SLIDE to the left/right. the databinding is done at the server side end and in an update panel so it does an async postback when they press next/prev. how can I go about doing this type of effect? Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and thought I should sign up to learn a little more. I am trying to work on a lightbox for my personal portfolio site which opens up numerous images in one lightbox that you can scroll through. However, I want thumbnails below the main image too. The following link shows exactly what I mean, just click on one of the images... http://www.weareunit.com/index.php?p=3D Thanks Quick question, I need to get the hover effect that Templatemonster has, for example click here and hover over a template image see how you get that larger pop-up image that disappears instantly after you remove you mouse from the template thumbnail image. How would I get that effect? Thanks!!! I need to have an image hyperlinked to a js function that fades text elswhere on the page. I imagine it looks something like <a href="(some js function or somethingrather"><img src="theimg.png"></a>, but how do I do it exactly? I would like code that I can just copy and paste in my header that is set to fade a specific line of text, and be able to hyperlink and image to initiate the js. Please help.
