JavaScript - Javascript Not Showing In Ie. Firefox Is Fine. Please Advise.
Hi there
I've just completed a lovely slideshow script on my homepage. It works great in Firefox, but doesn't display at all in IE. It's on a live test page he http://www.modern-wedding-ideas.co.uk/index2.html I'm sure I'm just missing something really simple. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In FF, the XML is read, and the corresponding data is entered automatically into the HTML document. Everything works perfectly. In IE, nothing seems to happen, no text is displayed and the image is just the broken link icon. I assume I need to modify my ELSE statement somehow, but have no idea what to do! Unfortunately I cannot provide a link to the webpage, it has not been uploaded as it doesn't work yet. Would really appreciate being told where I've gone wrong so I can correct the code myself. I am trying to create a difference function which would work out the difference between two numbers. e.g. 14 and 18 I am able to create a function and if statement to find the larger number of a argument but am having trouble writing one to find the difference between two numbers. Iam also confused (i know probably a silly question) but is the operator used the same for this function. Hope people can make sense of that. I am trying to pass a screen resolution parameter to a java applet so that it will appear in full screen mode when it launches. This is working fine in Firefox and Chrome but not in IE8. Any help on this would be much appreciated! Hello I am relatively new to java script. The code I have behaves differently when I debug it and when I just run is straight. There are three functions that one another in a particular sequence. When I debug it they get called in the correct sequence but otherwise they get called in a constant but random pattern. Hi, I've made a web based tool that times how long a web page takes to load in an iframe and today I redesigned it but now it has issues. When I load it in Chrome and Opera the new version works fine but in FF 3.6 and IE 8 only the footer area is displayed. I simply want it to display the Check Value button and detect 2 different id's for 2 different radio buttons (which is 'code' and 'number') Thanks! I have a javascript banner on my site which is working perfectly. however if the user goes to my domain without www. infront of the address the banner is non existent. Hello, I'm new to the forum. I tried coding this myself, but i'm just not that well versed in javascript and need a little help. I am trying to show certain div tags when you click on a hyperlink in an html document. I have four links (bio, news, portfolio, and resume) and four div tags (bio, news, portfolio, and resume). I am just going to show the code for one of the links. This is what I have for the bio link in the head of the html: Code:

thanks I have a page that takes nodes from drupal and pulls the athletes information and renders it into a roster page via a PHP array. initially the page did not have a logical sort and basically was rendered in the order of the node creation. I added sorttable.js to the file and you could then sort based on the header. However, our head coach wanted it to be sorted onLoad by player number (first column) so I added datatable and set aasorting to 0, asc and it actually sorts the second column (name) instead of column 1. No matter which column I set it to it only sorts the name column. If I could get some advice about how to fix this I would appreciate it. Currently nothing is showing up except for a little space where it should be that is only visible when I highlight the page by selecting edit>select all I have used the script avaliable here but instead of inserting the script into the body I have put it into an external .js my script is the same as theirs except I have made the links point to my documents instead of the samples they gave, however I will paste it here incase I have managed to delete one vital full stop or something.
