i have a javascript running on my web page,
however the text in the input field is white, on a white background. making it unreadable. is there a way to change the text color for the script. site can be viewed he www.barren-county.net the script running is the toolbar at the bottom, more specifically the "Connect" app on the right, if you open it you see that the text field is white and text is invisible. here is the code i have: Code: <head>

As you can see from my javascript, i am getting the elements by id (getElementById("color")). Currently, only the first <td> with id='color' is changing when the value is entered. How do I make the text in other table cells with id='color' change color when the comparison value is entered? Hi, I'm faced with a problem trying to set background color under IE7. However, when using IE7 I get an error msg like "Invalid value for property". When I use the Color propert iso the BackgroundColor property I get no error anymore but of course I don't have a background color anymore then. In what way can I specify the use of a background color under IE7 ? Or is just not possible in one way or the other. Furthermore, what more differences between JS under IE7 and IE8 do I have to take into account ? Do I also have to rewrite my div block in some way (using some attribs ?) to cope with IE7 ? What I am trying to figure out is if there is a way of 'detecting' what color each word is. I would like the output be a txt file, which stores the text and description of formatting, which I can easily do myself. I really just have no idea how to figure out what color the text is, programmatically. As of right now I have a code that will work in IE but wont work in FireFox...go figure. Basically what I want to have happen is when you type in an area code it will provide an output in a predetermined area of the page. Hi, As you will see with the code below when the text ONE and TWO are clicked on it displays a background color. When ONE is activated TWO is off. When TWO is activated ONE is off. But when the page loads I want ONE to display the background color. When ONE displays the background color after the page has loaded, I want to click on TWO to display it's background color and ONE should turn off as it does now. I can't figure out how to activate the background color for ONE when the page loads. Then if it is activated when the page loads, how to turn off ONE and turn on TWO when clicked on and visa versa. I have a text box for a search. I have lightened the font color to a shade of grey with a default value describing what the box does. Everything works except the font color does not change to black onfocus, it remains grey. The person can generate a random result or select restrictions (selecting an allergy to X would eliminate X-related results). I prefer to work with black backgrounds. Even if I end up changing a default site layout to non-black (for audience purposes), I'd want a personalized CSS for myself. I'm running into some difficulty determining how to make my textarea black. Is there a way to apply CSS to textarea boxes (including those related to javascript?) Ideally, I'd like to be able to automatically style every textarea but if that is not possible in relation to javascript, I'd settle for changing the code for individual boxes. Hey guys, I have been trying to get better at my javascript as of late and there is this one particular color fading technique I have found that I am having trouble dissecting. The following code appears to be how they are making a rollover go from a dark gray to a subtle light gray with a nice fade but I can't exactly tell whats going on from the code. } else { ?> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" title="<?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a> <? } ?> </li> Thing is, I've now installed a plugin called "Recently Popular" that logs all visits and can output which posts were viewed the most in the past X days/weeks/months/etc. and the author has it set up to only allow HTML formatting via this line: PHP Code: <?php get_recently_popular(1, 'WEEK', 5, 0, 0, '<a href="%post_url%" rel="bookmark" title="%post_title%">%post_title%</a>'); ?> I've tried sticking PHP in the line, but it only takes HTML. I've tried sticking one of these lines in each of the conditional statements above, but realized that this line outputs the entire "Recently Popular" list, not just one item - so everything would end up being the same color still. I contacted the plugin author, who said that without hardcoding there's no way to get around this via the plugin, but that outputting it normally and running it through JavaScript might give me a way to apply CSS styling to it after it's been rendered. I'm not experienced with JavaScript, unfortunately... does anyone know how I can do this? Please note that I will be using different HTML pages with different colours so have to use Arrays.
