JavaScript - Multiple Radio Button Display One Image
I need a script that will allow a user to select a vertical selection and Horizontal selection that displays a corresponding image. There are only 8 combinations (4 vertical choices and 2 horizontal choices) I just need to display the correct image and a description. There has to be only one of each selected and only display one image.
I have tried several and have had no luck. Any ideas? Here is how the layout will look Similar TutorialsHi, i'm new here and I need help. I need a script that can alert in 2 ways for multiple radio button groups of "yes" and "no." I got the first question to alert the way I need (with alert #1 for yes and alert#2 for no.) However, starting from the 2nd question it alerts #1 for both yes and no. This is the script I'm working with: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function valbutton(form) { myOption = -1; for (i=form.buttonset1.length-1; i > 0; i--) { if (form.buttonset1[i].checked) { myOption = i; i = -1; } } if (myOption == -1) { alert("Please select Yes or No"); return false; } if (myOption == 1) { alert("Yes, it works!"); return false; } if (myOption == 2) { alert("No, it won't work."); return false; } } </script> The following are the 1st two sets of radio buttons: Code: <form name="myform" action="formstest.html"> <tr> <td> <input type="reset" value="Click to Reset"> <br><input type="radio" name="buttonset1" value="1" rel="none" id="r1" /><label for="r1">Click to Start Over</label><br /></td> </tr> <tr><td class="question">Question #1</td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset1" value="2" rel="flat" id="r2" /> <label for="r2">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset1" value="3" rel="none" id="r3" /> <label for="r3">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> <tr rel="flat"> <td class="question"><label for="flat"><span class="accessibility">If metal:</span>Question #2</label></td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset2" value="4" rel="uneven" id="r4" /> <label for="r4">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset2" value="5" rel="none" id="r5" /> <label for="r5">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> Is it possible to switch out the alerts for yes and no for next 4 questions? And finally, the following is the lengthy, thorough version of my question if it clarifies what I'm trying to do. I would really appreciate someone to point me the right direction. I've tried all kinds of variation to the script and I just can't seem to make it work. Thanks in advance! (Lengthy Version) I also need questions to appear (or not show) below as select radio buttons are clicked. I have 6 groups of yes and no radio buttons. I would like the first two groups to have "alert 1" when yes is clicked (and "alert 2" for no.) I would like the rest to show "alert 2" when yes is clicked (and "alert 1" for no.) (I also have all the questions hidden below question 1. Each subsequent questions appear upon clicking yes for questions 1&2, and no for the rest. I would like to keep this intact - I put that js code I downloaded at the end of this post.) Here's what I have so far... I got most of it working except after the first question, "alert 1" appears for all the clicks submitted. I've been at it for a few weeks and I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance! Code: <html> <head> <title>Form Test</title> <script type="text/javascript"> function valbutton(form) { myOption = -1; for (i=form.buttonset1.length-1; i > 0; i--) { if (form.buttonset1[i].checked) { myOption = i; i = -1; } } if (myOption == -1) { alert("Please select Yes or No"); return false; } if (myOption == 1) { alert("Yes, it works!"); return false; } if (myOption == 2) { alert("No, it won't work."); return false; } } </script> </head> <body> <form name="myform" action="formstest.html"> <tr> <td> <input type="reset" value="Click to Reset"> <br><input type="radio" name="buttonset1" value="1" rel="none" id="r1" /><label for="r1">Click to Start Over</label><br /></td> </tr> <tr><td class="question">Question #1</td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset1" value="2" rel="flat" id="r2" /> <label for="r2">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset1" value="3" rel="none" id="r3" /> <label for="r3">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> <tr rel="flat"> <td class="question"><label for="flat"><span class="accessibility">If metal:</span>Question #2</label></td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset2" value="4" rel="uneven" id="r4" /> <label for="r4">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset2" value="5" rel="none" id="r5" /> <label for="r5">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> <tr rel="uneven"> <td class="question"><label for="uneven"><span class="accessibility">If flat:</span> Question #3</label></td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset3" value="6" rel="none" id="r6" /> <label for="r6">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset3" value="7" rel="ridges" id="r7" /> <label for="r7">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> <tr rel="ridges"> <td class="question"><label for="ridges"><span class="accessibility">If uneven:</span> Question #4</label></td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset4" value="8" rel="none" id="r8" /> <label for="r8">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset4" value="9" rel="holes" id="r9" /> <label for="r9">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> <tr rel="holes"> <td class="question"><label for="holes"><span class="accessibility">If ridges:</span> Question #5</label></td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset5" value="10" rel="none" id="r10" /> <label for="r10">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset5" value="11" rel="curved" id="r11" /> <label for="r11">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> <tr rel="curved"> <td class="question"><label for="curved"><span class="accessibility">If holes:</span>Question #6 </label></td> <td><input type="radio" name="buttonset6" value="12" rel="none" id="r12" /> <label for="r12">Yes</label><br /> <input type="radio" name="buttonset6" value="13" rel="answer" id="r13" /> <label for="r13">No</label><br /> </td> </tr> <tr rel="answer"> <td></td> <td class="question"><label for="answer"><span class="accessibility">If not curved:</span><strong> Yes, correct answer!</strong></label></td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"><input type="submit" name="submitit" onclick="valbutton(myform);return false;" value="Submit" /></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </form> </body> </html> The following is the JS found to make corresponding questions appear as each relevant radio button answer is clicked: Code: /*****************************************/ /** Usable Forms 2.0, November 2005 **/ /** Written by ppk, www.quirksmode.org **/ /** Instructions for use on my site **/ /** **/ /** You may use or change this script **/ /** only when this copyright notice **/ /** is intact. **/ /** **/ /** If you extend the script, please **/ /** add a short description and your **/ /** name below. **/ /*****************************************/ var containerTag = 'TR'; Hi Guys, I'm fairly new to Javascript and would be grateful for any help you can give me. I've had a search on Google and found a couple of potential solutions but nothing seems to work quite right for what I need. Basically I have a form with several questions followed by Yes/No radio buttons. Dependent on which answer is given, I want to display a different message above the text box. For example, if you answered 'no' to a certain question then the message above the text box would change to say "Please fill in additional information" or something along those lines. Below is the HTML to give you an idea of what I mean. Code: <table> <tr> <td> </td> <td><label class="bold">Yes</label></td> <td><label class="bold">No</label></td> </tr> <tr> <td><label for="property_q1"> - Is this your house?</label></td> <td><input name="property_q1" id="property_q1" type="radio" value="Yes" /></td> <td><input name="property_q1" id="property_q1" type="radio" value="No" /></td> </tr> </table> <br /> <div id="fine">It's fine, don't worry about filling it in.</div> <div id="fill" style="display:none">Please fill in the form below.</div> <table> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td><textarea name="info" id="info" cols="60" rows="5"></textarea></td> </tr> </table> <input type="submit" /> Here are the coding.. I have tried a few different things but nothing is working. I have the list of countrys and the radio buttons but when i click the radio button the image doesn't pop up. Also, when i click another radio button they all stay selected. 1) I have a group of radio buttons and have an image for each button. is there anyway to get that image to go with the value of the radio button to the next page when the radio button is pressed. Each radio button per row has different values in it but has the same name (group) ex: <input type="radio" name="a" value="1"> <input type="radio" name="a" value="2"> <input type="radio" name="a" value="3"> <input type="radio" name="a" value="4"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="1"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="2"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="3"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="4"> and so on.. If I click radio button A with value 2, I want to output the total at the bottom as "2".. Also, if I click radio button B with value 3, I want to output the total of A and B as 5 and so on.. How can I automatically calculate the answer based on which radio button was click? update: I got my answer from this site: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...s-using-jquery Hey all, I'm trying to make it so that when a user clicks on a radio button, the image that is related to the radio button is displayed next to it (without reloading the page). At the moment all it shows is the image related to the currently saved option, which I'd like to keep on page load. Is this possible? If so, I'd appriciate any help. Here is my code for the radio buttons. Thanks. Code: <tr valign="top"> <td id="community-legal-services-logo-selection"> <p><label><?php _e('<strong class="table_tags">Display the following Community Legal Services logo:</strong>'); ?></p> <p><label for="cls-mono"> <input class="" id="cls-mono" name="cls_logo" type="radio" value="cls_mono" <?php if($general_options['cls_logo'] === 'cls_mono'){ echo 'checked="checked"'; } ?> /> <?php _e('Mono'); ?></label> </p> <p><label for="cls-color"> <input class="" id="cls-color" name="cls_logo" type="radio" value="cls_color" <?php if($general_options['cls_logo'] === 'cls_color'){ echo 'checked="checked"'; } ?> /> <?php _e('Colour'); ?></label> </p> <p><label for="cls-none"> <input class="" id="cls-none" name="cls_logo" type="radio" value="cls_none" <?php if($general_options['cls_logo'] === 'cls_none'){ echo 'checked="checked"'; } ?> /> <?php _e('None'); ?></label> </p> <p> <label><?php _e('<span class="table_tags">Link to the Community Legal Services website<span>'); ?></label> </p> <p> <input class="large_input_box" id="cls-link" name="cls_link" type="text" value="<?php echo $general_options['cls_link']; ?>" /></label> </p> </td> <?php if($general_options['cls_logo'] && $general_options['cls_logo'] !== 'cls_none'){ ?> <td> <img id="community-legal-services-logo-preview" class="image-preview" src="<?php echo $general_options['cls_logo_path']?>" /> </td> <?php } ?> </tr> Hi guys, I've been breaking my brains for few hours, I already searched online and I found nothing so far. What I wanna do.... I have 5 different images linked to 5 different websites. Once the image is clicked, the first link will be displayed in an iframe, and the image will change to the second one. Once we click on the second image, the second link will be displayed using the same iframe, and so on. The code changes the images,but I dunno how to deal with the link to the websites. This is the code: Code: <html> <head> <title>Testing...</title> </head> <script type="text/javascript"> imgs=Array("1.png","2.png","3.png","4.png","5.png"); links=Array("www.vbct.ca","www.cnn.com","www.castanet.net","www.yahoo.com","www.cubaweb.cu"); var x=0; function change() { document.getElementById("changes").src=imgs[++x]; if (x==4) { x=-1; } } if (!imgs[x+1]) { x=-1; } </script> <body> <div> <iframe src="http://www.vbct.ca" style="border: 0; position:relative; top:0; left:0; right:0; bottom:0; width:100%; height:400px;" name="page" width="100%"></iframe> </div> <br /><br /> <div> <a href="#" target="page"><img src="1.png" id="changes" alt="alttext" onmousedown="change()" style="cursor: pointer;" /></a> </div> </body> </html> And this is the link to the test page: http://www.virtualbc.ca/sites/test/ All, I have the following code: Code: <form action="" name="myform" method="post"> <input type="hidden" id="picimages" name="picimages" value="<?php echo $resultsetstory['bigger_id']; ?>" /> <p> <label> <input type="radio" id="picimages" name="picimages" value="<?php echo $resultsetstory['picture_id']; ?>" /> <?php if($resultsetstory['title']<>""){ echo $resultsetstory['title']; }else{ echo "Image 1"; } ?> </label> <br /> <label> <input type="radio" id="picimages" name="picimages" value="<?php echo $resultsetpic2['picture_id']; ?>" /> <?php if($resultsetpic2['title']<>""){ echo $resultsetpic2['title']; }else{ echo "Image 2"; } ?> </label> <br /> <input name="submit" type="button" value="Vote!" onclick="javascript:voteupdate(this.myform);"/> </p> </form> When I submit this, it goes to this function: Code: function voteupdate(obj) { var poststr = "picimage=" + document.getElementById("picimage").value + "&bigger_id=" + encodeURI( document.getElementById("bigger_id").value ); alert(poststr); makePOSTRequest('voteresults.php', poststr); } However I can't get the value of the radio group for the one that is selected. Can someone see what is wrong? Thanks. All: I need some help with a radio button code. It seems simple but I am really new at JavaScript so I need help. I have created a JavaScript code that has three radio buttons (High, Medium, and Low). When you click on high two text boxes appear so that an email address can be added. What I need help with is making the text boxes disappear if someone accidentally click high and then went back to low or medium. Currently the High button stays clicked and the text boxes still show. Any help would be great. Thanks, Stephen Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function showHide(el){ obj = document.getElementById(el).style; (obj.display == 'none')? obj.display = 'block' : obj.display = 'none'; } </script> <form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action=""> <label> <input type="Checkbox" name="High" value="High" onclick="showHide('group1')" /> High </label> <label> <input type="Checkbox" name="Medium" value="Button" /> Mediun </label> <label> <input type="Checkbox" name="Medium" value="Button" /> Low </label> <p id="group1" style="display: none;"> <label> <b>friend1  </b><input type="Text" name="textGroup1" value="@gmail.com" /> <br/> </label> <br /> <label> <b>friend2  </b><input type="text" name="textGroup1" value="@gmail.com" /> </label> </p> </form> I don't exactly know how to word my issue. Basically, I need it so that if a user selects 'option1' in the group 'group1' when they go to 'group2' is only gives them a certain selection to choose from. If they choose 'option2' in 'group1' they will get a different set to choose from. My main dilemma is it must do this without them having to submit. I am ignorant in java scripting. I want to use the following java script to create the radiobutton in obiee reporting. This java script will change the regular prompt to radio button,however I do not know how to debug if it is working. Waiting for kind reply.
