JavaScript - Fill A Form On An External Page
Hello,
I would like to program a custom link for my visitors, which will fill a payment form on an external page automatically. As an ultimate goal, I would like to press a link, which will send necessary information to this external page, fill it in the right forms, and press "submit" button there. If there is no way to do all these tasks in only one link, then just filling the forms would be great. I've tried something like: Code: <a href="https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage.aspx" style="cursor:pointer;" onclick="document.getElementById('emailAddress').value='somemail@mail.com';"> Pay to "somemail@mail.com" </a> Unfortunately this approach didn't work for me. The other problem is that I need to fill more fields on this external page (https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage.aspx), like payment amount, email address, reason for payment, etc. I've found out that I can send Email as a parameter in an URL: https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage...email@mail.com (will work only with a valid email, as it goes through a validation on their page). Is there any way to get the names of other parameters (like "email", "payment", etc.)? Please let me know if there are any possible ways to program such a task. I believe that JavaScript should be used here, but if not, please advise me on different ways of programming such a solution. Thank you in advance, Anatoliy. Similar TutorialsI have an html page "PageA" which contains a "link" to another html page "PageB". The link is handled as a form submit because PageA sends some variables which it wants "processed". However, PageB is NOT a CGI script but simply another html page which happens to contain a form. This form handles the desired processing. I would appreciate some help getting some javascript in place, in PageA, in order to automatically fill in a form field in PageB with a variable supplied by PageA. The complications here a 1) PageB is not a CGI script and so sending variables via a query string does not work. (The variables never get read by PageB.) 2) PageB is maintained by another organisation so I cannot modify it. (Actually I could, as I have a local copy, but I would have to redo after every new release and so this is not acceptable.) It therefore needs to be treated as an independent page. 3) The variable is quite a lengthy one, it is extracted from a database and changes depending on how PageA was called, so I want to do this for repeated instances and cutting and pasting to a new page on each occasion is not attractive. 4) I would like to open PageB in a separate window or tab as I want to be able to reference both pages at once. (This is not essential to the key problem but may influence the solution. A solution which depended on the window being the same I would not regard as satisfactory.) The relationship between the documents is probably most accurately described as "PageB is a section of PageA". It is providing some additional information on aspects of what is in PageA. The output from submission of PageB can be quite lengthy. The actual form field in PageB I want to fill in is a textarea element and I know its name (call it name1) and also the name of the form (call it form1). But I don't think the field type should be important. I simply want to update its value (presumably after a page load?). Is this possible without editing PageB? I would appreciate some guidance if not a proven solution. Perhaps I have overlooked something but I can't find a working solution to this particular problem and my experiments to date don't work. Thanks Hey I got two text boxes one for start date and second for end date in that i want to fill text boxes according to Quarter of a year, as like if i put 1-4-2012 in first text box then in second text box values should be automatically 30-6-2012. So now tell me please how to do this ??????? Regards rajboy13 Contact me @ = rajboy13@gmail.com Hi, I want to create a javascript: url that will automatically enter a few pieces of information into a registration form provided by a 3rd party. Basically I just want to help users navigate the form a little quicker, and the form doesn't accept query strings. I am running into the fact that when the page is loaded, the cache is flushed. So, I have 2 working javascript: URLs, and I want to combine them into a bookmarklet (and then make it a tinyurl). Can I do that? Thanks, Chris javascript: top.location.href='http://www.google.com/'; javascript: document.f.q.value='This works too'; I have about 100 pages of HTML, and I want to only have to put in the specific data once. My Javascript is rusty and I am on a short fuse, unfortunately, so some help would be appreciated. All pages have one picture with URL path to the image, an initial width, and a title string. I would like to define these once in a Javascript etc, and have a script plug those values into the page Title, the width of the pic <img> tag, the URL of the src of the pic, and a text title in the body (above the pic) of the page. -- I think I need <body onload="mySetup('myTitle string', picWidth, '<picURL>')> then in the script I would need: window.title = myTitle; bodyText.innerHTML = myTitle; myPic.width = picWidth; myPic.src = picURL; myPic.alt = myTitle; then <img id="myPic" onclick="myClickHandler( )"> --------------- But messing about with this has not gotten me a working page. Would some kind person help out? Thanks! What I am looking to do is auto-populate a number of forms based on what a user chooses as a starting date. For example: If a user enters 12/12/2009 I want the other fields to automatically populate with the next 2 weeks (12/13/2009, 12/14/2009, 12/15/2009 etc.) Anyone have a useful script that I can use given that these fields are formatted as dates? The idea is to save time by only having to fill in the first date in the timesheet. Hello. My goal is to load the JS for a specific element before displaying that element. I integrated a third part script, and it works well. I set the timer he The JS is in my heading as <script type="text/javascript" src="countdownpro.js"></script> About mid-body I have: <span id="countdown1">2010-07-20 00:00:00 GMT+00:00</span> which allows for the setting of a target date to countdown to. When the page first loads it shows the above long format target time, until the js/meta tags kick in to modify it to just show the actual countdown as 00:00:00. I have attached countdownpro.js to this post. I tried shifting the function CD_Init() to the top of the script, and also appended it inline with the .html. I tried setting the big external script to "defer", but neither arrangement worked. I also tried placing the src file right at the top. I appreciate your help. Hello, I don't know if this can be done in Javascript, or requires any other language but i was wondering if this would be possible. I would like to embed this Javascript code in to a PHP file and then for it to run automatically upon the PHP file loading: Code: <td class="smallDesc"> <a name="fb_share" type="button_count" href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php">Share</a><script src="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share" type="text/javascript"></script> </td> The Javascirpt is the Facebook Share button that basically allows users that have Facebook to share the page there currently on in their Facebook status by pressing the button, but if there not logged in it shows the login page, not a problem just continue the script. The current button i which is what i want to load automatically in the PHP file is located here, to test the functionalilty just click "Share" button in blue.. http://watch-movies-online.anyfilman...-Movie-17.html To summarise, i would like the above Javascript code to execute automatically upon pageload of this PHP file.. http://www.watch-movies-online.anyfi...p://google.com. If that could be done, and if this also is possible.. i would like for the "Share" button on the external page that is loaded from the Javascript code above to be clicked automatically so in effect when ever someone visits the PHP page after clicking "Click Here to Watch/Stream 2012 Online For Free" on this page it will automatically load the Facebook Share box, and automatically click the "Share" Button and then close the page if possible, but not required. Please feel free to ask any questions, i'll be happy to answer. Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Jonathan. hi , how to load external page into div without template . Example : I have external page using CSS & html : <div id="header"></div> <div id="content1"></div> <div id="content2"></div> <div id="content3"></div> <div id="sidebar"></div> <div id="sidebar1"></div> <div id="footer"></div> NOTE : all javascript code load external page with all template code into div ! how to load ONLY content2 into DIV . thanks Hi, For the last few day's i've been searching for a js/ajax div refresh. I need a js/ajax script that refresh a div every 10 seconds or gets menu.php file and updates it. Thanks. Hi all, I'm a bit newbie in scripting, but i'm trying to learn by myself . Hope you can help me with this I have two main pages, called index.html and news.html. Both pages loads a third page called news_content.html, using AJAX function load. This third page has a pagination script, but the pagination has to be different if the page has been loaded from index.html or news.html (for example, the max items per page has to be different). The pagination settings are defined inside news_content.html. How can I know, from the content page, with one has loaded it? Or... its possible to pass values from the main pages into the content page, in order to change the pagination settings? Thanks in advance! Hello, I am in situation where I need a code to redirect a HTML page to new location (Static HTML/Dynamic Web page) however the challenge is that I can not use usual JavaScript Redirect code due to restriction that we can't execute any code/script under body tag. I found that this can be done using an external JS file however I am not able to achieve this. I need the code to be generic so we can apply the same JS file to any page. However, I want the new window to open over the previous one versus opening a second new window. Can someone help me out in this? Hi I'm trying to load a part of a page (that has script in it) into another page using jquery. However, though the html loads in correctly, none of the script is working. I'm using code from http://css-tricks.com/video-screenca...namic-content/ ie. the pages all work without java (static pages) and when java is enabled, instead of going to bio.html you get taken to ..#bio.html. However if I've got any script I would like to be loaded .. ie. lightbox gallery or even a simple jav split and put back together email address hider. Any help greatly appreciated. I'm not very clued up about jquery at the moment unfortunately and though I've been trying to read and learn, alot is going over my head.. Not sure how best it is to show you the page as it's not live yet. Maybe if it helps I can upload a zip of the site. It's a simple 6 page musician site. Though my code is exactly like the css-tricks page, just that I have a lightbox on one page (which loads fine if there's no hash in the address - but when hash is there, it shows thumbnails, and when you click one, it just takes you to the larger .jpg destination page (no lightboxness etc).) Thanks I have a slow loading external JavaScript that displays a calendar widget. When I put it in my sidebar, while the page loads, it cuts off where the calendar should be until the JavaScript for it finishes. How can I make the script load after the page finishes loading? I tried creating a function at the end of the HTML and calling the function in the sidebar, but I think because the function was being called before the script was executed, it didn't work. I appreciate any and all help! I am using the same java script to help add shipping costs for paypal in my html. I have worked very long and hard to get to this point. Since everything is very similar and having conflicts I have saved and named each java script for it's form. However, when there are more then one on the html page it always calculates the last form giving me the wrong price per quantity on the first. I have not found a way to differentiate or id and separate. <script src="nineEnvelope.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> <form rel="nofollow" target="paypal" style="position:absolute; left:500px;top:200px; I'm fairly certain that my problem can be resolved with some JS, but I'm not 100% so please forgive me if this thread does not belong here. Anyhoo, here goes.... I have a site i'm building in Joomla! 1.5. I've got a form on page A and an iframe on page B. The iframe src is an asp page that returns real estate listing details based on values passed to the asp page in the URL. for example: http://www.hostOfAspPage.com/aspPage...&minprice=500k I figured out how to create a form on page B that changes the src of the iframe by setting the target to the name of the iframe. so that works fine. but now, i want to put a similar form on the home page. Please see the following diagram...hopefully it explains what i'm trying to do. http://webwraps.com/changeiframesrc.jpg so here is my question... Is it possible to use JS (or maybe php?) to create a URL based on the values in the form on page A and then take the visitor to page B while changing the src of the iframe on page B to be the newly created URL? if so, how? existing iframe code: <iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-ONE"></iframe> desired new iframe code (after form on page A is submitted): <iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-TWO"></iframe> Thank you very much for your time.
