thanks! Hi All, I have a javascript file that displays a pop up image on the website. This works fine to display the one logo.png file even though the logo.png file is not referenced in the javascript. I believe it does it through the binary numbers. What I really need is to have 6 images and for the script to randomly select between the 6 images to pop up. Each pop up would have a different url behind it, not just one. I'm trying to teach myself Javascript to prepare for it next term. I asked earlier how to add together the numbers 1-10 in a loop. Now I'm wondering how can I change the 10 to be a valuable I input. This of course is easy in principle - I can just continue the lists like: form.title9.value = ""; form.title10.value = ""; form.title11.value = ""; - and so on. The problem is that, in the "sentence patterns", I cannot use numbers with two digits to refer to the word lists. Then it thinks I mean 1+0 and 1+1 instead of 10 and 11. How can I allow this? I have heard about using regular expressions to "capture the number by its word boundary" - is this a good solution? If yes, can someone please explain to me how to do it? I think what i have is similar to the knapsack problem, but I have a really simple version of it. http://www.ms.unimelb.edu.au/~moshe/...psack.html#def Say I have a relatively small array of numbers: 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. I just need to verify true or false if a combination of these numbers will add up to 21. The numbers will obviously be changing, ( and in array size), i guess i could just use if statements but it would be stupid and go on for ages. Could anyone point me in the direction of some simple code, or easy to understand way to go about this problem? 1st, Hi Coding forums! I'll get to the point, I'm a noob -.- I'm using greasemonkey for a certain website. Basically, I'm using gm to refresh the page after a certain time, I was however wondering, If I can set it to a random number between 2 specific times? The code I'm using atm is setTimeout(function() { document.location.reload(); } , 10000); I know I have to use math.random, well, I think I do. But I'm not sure how to do it between 2 certain times? So to summarise, I'm trying to refresh a page at any given random time between say 5-10 minutes. Any help is appreciated, thanks! Wizards - I have a challenge! I am writing a timecard app. The stipulatioin is all Hours fields can only be whole hours or half hour increments. For example, 1.0 is good, 1.5 is good, 1.2 is bad, 1.9 is bad. I would like to have the field automatically change a value of 1.9 to a value of 2.0 (perhaps onKeyUp). I would like to have the field automatically change a value of 3.2 to a value of 3.0. In a nutshell - only allow whole and half hour values. Otherwise round up OR round down. Thanks for any help you can provide. I am successfully using the Pengoworks plugin for calculations - absolutely priceless. If you think modifications can be made to it, plz let me know. |
