JavaScript - Replacing Div Content Based On Variable Value

Hello!

I'm currently working on trying to target an anchor based on what the contents of their 'title' attribute is, then apply a href to that anchor.

Here is what I have so far

Can anyone tell me how I can check to see if a checkbox has actually been checked or not?

The code I need to use this in basically gets data from a form which has alot of dropdowns and a checkbox in it. The function builds a query based on the values it finds in these variables. I was trying to check to see if the checkbox was selected and if so assign a value to another var but I can't seem to get it to work. Any ideas?

The checkbox is called pics.

I'm using javascript in addition to a web service (BTBuckets) to display different content to visitors based on actions they take on my site. The javascript is working fine, but I noticed that if I simulate BTBuckets being disabled using Firefox Adblock none of the content shows up. So in the off chance of the service going offline it'll leave some pretty funky holes in the my content. I tried <noscript> tags which works with javascript off, but the content is still blank when I disable BTBuckets.

I'm wondering if there's a way to display the default content if the service is unavailable? Here's the code I'm using:

Ok I am very very new to java to the point where I only know how to use pre-made javascripts in my php code so be gentle.

I need urgent help with this:

I need codes for a dropdown menu that is altered by radio buttons.

I want to insert the value selected from the dropdown menu into a table.

I'm trying to make a basic rss reader with a google reader-esque functionality of clicking on article names and being able to expand/collapse that article. I'm working on the expand part and am going crazy. I am having no trouble getting content and displaying it without the onclick function but when I try to integrate onclick I can just get the titles.

I am curious about the use of appendChild() here... I have a solution that does what I want it to do, like this:

sidebar.replaceChild((sidebarEntry),sidebar.firstChild);

but it seems to be going the long way around. Not that it matters much (I guess), but all I want to do is to add an item to the sidebar and when a new item is added, remove the existing one.

I tried just using relaceChild() on its own, but the code seems to need something to be replace... Is the above the best way to do it? Or is it possible to set the child to some dummy position like null to begin with, so that the code is not constantly reloading and replacing items (which is what I understand is going on now)?

I know how to replace all the + signs in a url string by spaces, like this:

newstring=oldstring.replace(/[+]/g," ");


but how do I replace a substring by a comma easily? This doesn't do it:

newstring=oldstring.replace(/[&menuitems]/,",");

Hi,

I am quite new to JS and is currently building a website with a little of JS Function. Ok, so I have a Page tat consists of 10 images. Each images when on mouse over, will display a larger version on the images, using JS(onmouseover).

Then, I will have a next button that will replace all the images, using Ajax, which means my page will not be reloaded. The problem comes here when I have to replace all the onmouseover effect.

I can replace all the thumbnails without problem, but the onmouseover I have problem replacing. Is there anyway that I can dynamically replace all the onmouseover?

Basically I need a function that will remove numerous elements from a page based on their class. I then also need a function to bring those elements back afterwards. If anyone is wondering, I'm trying to add buttons to remove/add images.
