JavaScript - Error: Jquery.validator Is Undefined
Hello,
I am trying to add a simple script to my CSS menu for a little bit more eye candy. However, when I add the script - it causes issues in my online store (ex; the javascript-powered one page checkout stops working). Here is the exact error from the error console: Quote: Error: jQuery.validator is undefined Source File: https://www.gem-tech.com/store/pc/onepagecheckout.asp Line: 288 And here is the exact script: Quote: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.hoverIntent.minified.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { function megaHoverOver(){ $(this).find(".sub").stop().fadeTo('fast', 1).show(); //Calculate width of all ul's (function($) { jQuery.fn.calcSubWidth = function() { rowWidth = 0; //Calculate row $(this).find("ul").each(function() { rowWidth += $(this).width(); }); }; })(jQuery); if ( $(this).find(".row").length > 0 ) { //If row exists... var biggestRow = 0; //Calculate each row $(this).find(".row").each(function() { $(this).calcSubWidth(); //Find biggest row if(rowWidth > biggestRow) { biggestRow = rowWidth; } }); //Set width $(this).find(".sub").css({'width' :biggestRow}); $(this).find(".row:last").css({'margin':'0'}); } else { //If row does not exist... $(this).calcSubWidth(); //Set Width $(this).find(".sub").css({'width' : rowWidth}); } } function megaHoverOut(){ $(this).find(".sub").stop().fadeTo('fast', 0, function() { $(this).hide(); }); } var config = { sensitivity: 2, // number = sensitivity threshold (must be 1 or higher) interval: 100, // number = milliseconds for onMouseOver polling interval over: megaHoverOver, // function = onMouseOver callback (REQUIRED) timeout: 500, // number = milliseconds delay before onMouseOut out: megaHoverOut // function = onMouseOut callback (REQUIRED) }; $("ul#topnav li .sub").css({'opacity':'0'}); $("ul#topnav li").hoverIntent(config); }); </script> I believe there is some sort of conflict? Not sure though. Any input on this? Thanks, Similar TutorialsHi, I have an image slider that uses the: jquery.min.js file this basically slides up and down smoothly when clicked. I then added a Jquery accordian menu. When I put the 2 together the menu doesn't work it just stays fully expanded. As soon as I remove jquery.min.js it works fine but then the slider doesn't. What could this be please? Thanks alot Joe Hello all. I am trying to track down why this custom validator is failing with an error that args is undefined. There are two funnctions - one works and one does not. Here they a the bold italicized item is where the error is being generated. Function validHygieneNote works as expected however. Code: function validClothingNote(val, args) { var radio_choice = false; var chks = document.getElementById('clothingNote'); var chks2 = document.getElementsByName('clothingInadequate'); for (counter=0; counter < chks2.length; counter++) { if (chks2[counter].checked){ var rad_val =chks2[counter].value; }} if((rad_val==1)|| (rad_val==2)) { if ((chks.value=="") || (chks.value.length==0) || (chks.value==null)){ args.IsValid=false; } else { args.IsValid = true; } }} function validHygieneNote(val, args) { var radio_choice = false; var chks = document.getElementById('hygieneNote'); var chks2 = document.getElementsByName('hygieneInadequate'); for (counter=0; counter < chks2.length; counter++) { if (chks2[counter].checked){ var rad_val =chks2[counter].value; }} if((rad_val==1)|| (rad_val==2)) { if ((chks.value=="") || (chks.value.length==0) || (chks.value==null)){ args.IsValid=false; } else { args.IsValid = true; } }} I have a slideshow that allows the user to see the previous slide title and the next slide title along with the current slide and its content. I tested locally not in WP and the code worked fine. Once I placed my source within WP everything went south. I inspector the first line in the script seems to be what is having the issues - $(window).load(function(){ and I am unsure what to do next. The source was used from Edit fiddle - JSFiddle the page I am trying to get to work is located here - Sevices | Q&D CONSTRUCTION, INC.Q&D CONSTRUCTION, INC. I am open to any suggestions. Let's make this simple, I am totally newbie in coding. I installed a lightbox patch to FCKeditor, and I tried to modify it a bit so I could add a title into it. I kind of managed but... Here's the html code which I added to the html file: Code: <div> <br /> <input id="txtTitleLightBox" style="width: 100%" type="text" /> </div> And these are the modified codes which I added to the js file: Code: var rel = oLink.rel; if (rel) { var type; if (rel.indexOf("[") > 0) type = rel.substring(0,rel.indexOf("[")); else type = rel; var oE = GetE('rad'+type); if (oE) { GetE('txtTitleLightBox').value= title; GetE('txtGroupLightBox').value= rel.substring(rel.indexOf("[")+1, rel.indexOf("]")); GetE('chkLightBox').checked = true; GetE('rad'+type).checked = true; } } Code: if (GetE('chkLightBox').checked && oLink) { var rel = "lightbox" var rad = document.getElementsByName('radLightBoxType') for (var i=0; i < rad.length; i++) { if (rad[i].checked) { rel = rad[i].value; break; } } oLink.title = title var title = GetE('txtTitleLightBox').value = title; oLink.rel = rel var group = GetE('txtGroupLightBox').value if (group) { oLink.rel += "[" + group + "]" } } And what I added as new code were Code: oLink.title = title var title = GetE('txtTitleLightBox').value = title; and Code: GetE('txtTitleLightBox').value= title; The result is (eg) this kind of html text: Code: <a title="undefined" rel="lightbox" href="image/path"><img width="200" height="113" alt="" src="image/path" /></a> So the title is undefined even if I fill something to the txtTitleJavaScript box... If you want to investigate the full files, they are he http://jump.fm/IYOXH .. thanks :s i am getting an error according to firebug of 'id_con is undefined'.i have made sure all entries are correct and i cannot see how to fix this error. i would be grateful if someone could show me how to correct this error. the error is occuring on this line: Code: itemlist+= items[i].id_con.substr(3)+","; Code: <script src="js/jquery.js"></script> <script src="js/flexigrid.js"></script> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/flexigrid/flexigrid.css" type="text/css" /> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $("#flex1").flexigrid( { url: 'staff.php', dataType: 'json', colModel : [ {display: 'ID', name : 'id_con', width : 40, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'Name', name : 'name_con', width : 150, edit: true, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'Email', name : 'email_con', width : 150, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'Phone', name : 'phone_con', width : 250, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'Mobile', name : 'mobile_con', width : 150, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'Fax', name : 'fax_con', width : 150, sortable : true, align: 'left'}, {display: 'Notes', name : 'notes_con', width : 250, sortable : true, align: 'left'} ], buttons : [ {name: 'Add', bclass: 'edit', onpress : test}, {separator: true}, {name: 'Edit', bclass: 'edit', onpress : test}, {separator: true}, {name: 'Delete', bclass: 'delete', onpress : test}, {separator: true} ], searchitems : [ {display: 'Name', name : 'name_con', isdefault: true}, {display: 'Email', name : 'email_con'} ], sortname: "id_con", sortorder: "asc", usepager: true, title: "Staff", useRp: true, rp: 10, showTableToggleBtn: false, resizable: false, autowidth: true, autoheight: true, singleSelect: true } ); }); function test(com, grid) { if($('.trSelected',grid).length>0){ if(confirm('Delete ' + $('.trSelected',grid).length + ' items?')){ var items = $('.trSelected',grid); var itemlist =''; for(i=0;i<items.length;i++){ itemlist+= items[i].id_con.substr(3)+","; } $.ajax({ type: "POST", dataType: "json", url: "delete1.php", data: "items="+itemlist, success: function(data){ alert("Query: "+data.query+" - Total affected rows: "+data.total); $("#flex1").flexReload(); } }); } else if (com=='Add') { alert('Add New Item'); } else if (com=='Edit') { alert('Edit Item'); } } $('b.top').click ( function () { $(this).parent().toggleClass('fh'); } ); } </script> I am trying to build a status string for all the checkboxes on a form. However, I keep getting this error: "Error:'Form_OnLoad' is undefined" This is my Code Code: // ------------- // // Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 JavaScript // Name: Account Pop-up // Modified: 29 October 2014 // ------------- // function Form_OnLoad() { GetValueFromCRMField(); } function GetValueFromCRMField() { //Get the Value of Alert and Set to a Variable var getSubject = Xrm.Page.getAttribute("bitc_Alert").getValue(); // If the Subject Field is Populated if (getSubject == true) //Pop-up Window in CRM alert(getSubject); } Can anyone see what I've done wrong. I must have scanned this a dozen times, and I'm going cross-eyed. Thanks in advance for any insight or help. Brian Hi All, In one of my php page I have a form where I am displaying a table. The First row is having the drop down and the second row is a text field. Now the problem is that based on the drop down value choosed I have to set some field in text field. For this I am calling a javascript function but when I am trying to set the value in the text field which is still not into picture when this function is called it is showing the error that the field is not defined. Can Anyone tell how I can get access to a field which is yet not defined. I even tried to make a hidden field before drop down and tried to set some value for that still I am facing the same problem. Can anyone help me out ... I have a bug that is only seeming to effect IE 8:. It seems to have a problem with this line: theSelectBox.selectedIndex = -1; This is where my full page is: http://www.mauirealestate.net/advancedsearch-rets.php Also has a weird display issue in IE8, but not in "compatibility view", which the bug may fix. Works and looks beautiful is Safari and Firefox. Any suggestions are helpful. I have a webpage that gives a quote (simple math). I recently revamped my entire website and when I went to place the page into the new site it will not work. It seems to not be doing anything at all. the page is at www.rwinvite.com/quote.html it uses quote.js which is in the same directory with the page. the html and js code is long, not complicated, but there are a lot of variables. This was working before I had the website redone, but I have no idea. I did run firebug and it tells me... frm is undefined calc()quote.js (line 6) onclick()quote.html (line 1) [Break on this error] var n1 = frm.envelope.options[frm....x].value; if (isNaN(n1)) { n1 = 0; } (line 6) But in line 3 & 4 I have function calc(){ var frm = document.form1; doesn't that define the form? Hello, can you tell me why this code gives me undefined error? You can see the code in action he open this link http://www.w3schools.com/cn/html/try...=tryhtml_basic and paste this code on the left side of the webpage, then press 'edit and click me' heres the full code: Code: <html><head><title>eink</title></head> <body onload="aaa()"> <script type="text/javascript"> function aaa() { var word2 = document.getElementById('word'), letters = word2.innerHTML.split(''), spanified; for (var k = 0, j = letters.length; k < j; k++) { spanified += '<span class="style101">' + letters[k] + '</span>'; } word2.innerHTML = spanified; } </script> <style type="text/css"> .style101 { background-color: #FF0000; } </style> <h1 id="word">HOUSE</h1> </body> </html> Here is a picture, of how it looks: I am trying to add a green tick or red cross to my form so that the user will know if they have filled out the form correctly before submitting it and getting told that they need to fill out this or correct that. I have added NAME to each form field and have been using this to read the content but for some reason I am unable to read what is in the field I get the error, 'undefined'. this is what code I have started on... Code: function checkValidFormInput(id, noCheck) { if (noCheck == '') { var idValue = document.getElementsByName(id); if (id == 'customerName') { alert(id); alert(idValue.value); if (idValue != '') { document.getElementsByName(id + 'Img').innerHTML = '<img alt=/"/" src=/"/">'; } } if (id == 'customerEmail') { if (idValue != '') { document.getElementsByName(id + 'Img').innerHTML = '<img alt=/"/" src=/"/">'; } } } } my code is still in the early stages and is missing the other parts to place a red cross, as the moment i am working on placing the green tick. Can anyone spot what I have wrong in my code that is causing it not to read the form field. my form field is coded as so.. Code: <li class="value"> <input type="text" autocomplete="off" name="customerName" value="<?=$fullname;?>" style="width: 200px;" onChange="checkValidFormInput(this.name, '');"> <div style="float: left;" id="customerNameImg"></div><br style="clear:both"> </li> Hey, I have made/modifying a script that I can create AJAX objects on the fly. On my wordpress based website, I have jquery for the top button selection part on the homepage, and lightbox for the gallery, and they work fine. But when I enter the url with a GET (.com?something), they don't work. I can't figure out if it is a jQuery error, or jQuery with wordpress's url structure. Ex: http://www.naturallookinstitute.com/gallery/ - OK http://www.naturallookinstitute.com/gallery?get - Lightbox broken http://www.naturallookinstitute.com/ - OK http://www.naturallookinstitute.com?get - Top header selector broken Hi all. I am using the Inline Form Validation Engine jQuery plugin found here, and though I have posted at their forum as well, am having a heck of a time (not being well versed in js OR Ajax, unfortunately) All I need to do is edit the code so that when the onSubmit function is processed, it returns only the first error it encounters, rather than keeping and display the array of every error. I have picked through the code several times, and can't seem to find where the array is stored. I thought perhaps I could find a for loop to limit, but am at a complete loss. Is there anyone out there who can help? I can post the code if needed; I didn't want to post the entire file (since I don't know which snippet is the one I need!) Thank you in advance! Hello. I'm coding a simple hover-opacity thing for some images on my site on the navigation bar. Although I'm receiving this message in my Firebug. uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: . Here's the navigation code: Code: <div class="navigation"> <a href="home"><img class="home" src="images/navigation/home.gif" /></a> - <a href="home" class="home">Home</a> <a href="news"><img class="news" src="images/navigation/news.gif" /></a> - <a href="news" class="news">News</a> </div> So the effect I've made is, when I hover the image, its opacity gets set to 1. And when I move my mouse away the image changes opacity to .5 And when I hover the text "Home" or "News" the same effect happens with the image. And here's my jQuery: Code: $(function(){ $('.navigation img').css({ opacity: .5 }); $('.navigation img').hover(function(){ $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: 1 },300); }, function(){ $(this).stop().animate({ opacity: .5 },300); }); $('.navigation a').hover(function(){ var imageClass = $(this).attr('class'); $('.navigation img.' + imageClass).stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, 300); }, function(){ var imageClass = $(this).attr('class'); $('.navigation img.' + imageClass).stop().animate({ opacity: .5 }, 300); }); }); I can't seem to find the error in my script(s). Any help is appreciated. EDIT: Apparently the error appears when I make anchor tags around the image. Code: <a href="home"><img ... /></a> This gives the error. :S Code: <img ... /> But this doesn't? How can this be? |
