JavaScript - Robust Rss Display - Multiple Sources?

I'm attempting to run a small piece of code that will execute one of two source js files on my server. I have no problem creating the proper DOM script object with the proper type and conditional src value. However, when i add it to the document it does not seem to execute. I've tried adding it in two places, both using .appendChild();

myLocation.parentNode.appendChild(newScript);

and

document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0].appendChild(newScript);

(myLocation is a calculated element representing the current script tag)
In both these cases, the script tag is added to the document where I intended, but it does not appear to execute. The src has some doc writes in it and the tags the new script should generate right after itself are not there, as they are when I hard code the new sourced script tag into the document.

All in all, my confusion comes from the fact that when I write a <script ... src="mysrc.js"></script> into my document, it behaves differently than when I have a script write an identical tag into the document in the same location.

Also, fyi, I'm currently using Chrome (though I will require a multi-platform solution). Thanks for your time.

My swf.js file is getting hacked along with some jquery files, they are injecting cross browser hacking script to .js files.

Please help me how can I protect it?

I need a script that will allow a user to select a vertical selection and Horizontal selection that displays a corresponding image. There are only 8 combinations (4 vertical choices and 2 horizontal choices) I just need to display the correct image and a description. There has to be only one of each selected and only display one image.

I have tried several and have had no luck. Any ideas?

I have 9 select menus that are populated by a php for loop. Each has a numeric value that is displayed base on the selection (which I have working).

I can not figure out how to sum all of these values and display them in a <div> tag. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What I have to do is, "Ask for number1, ask for number2 and show them added, subtracted and multiplied." Here is my code, what's wrong?

So, I'm using a lot of js and I needed to find a work around to get it all working together, so I'm using InsertContent and RemoveContent to control several divs that I have. In this case it is 4 divs, but in other situations I'll have up to 10.

My problem is that when the user starts with the first div displayed, the other 3 swap just fine, however, when clicking through the set of links, once the user gets to the 3rd link that is supposed to swap out the divs all the divs show up except the first, and the same happens on the fourth link.

Hi guys. I am a newbie here on this forum. I have tried to learn how to use javascript on HTML forms however I just couldn't find the answers to my questions on the net. Perhaps I am not using the correct 'terms' when searching so I decided to join a forum like this to ask help.

Anyway, I have a form with multiple inputboxes and lists and my goal is to generate and display all the accumulated information to a textarea so that the user can copy it afterwards.

I have an idea how I could make it work but I am not entirely sure how to put it on a code. I actually have a number of questions on this so let me start off with the first one. I am eager to learn javascript so I would post my questions one after the other as my questions get answered. That way I get to learn how to build the code from the top.

So my first one is this..

1. I would like to know how to display a user input on an inputbox to a textarea. My html form is like this:

I hope someone can help me. I'll be honest and say I don't know much about javascript, but am fairly comfortable in html.

I am building a website that will have multiple image swaps on multiple pages. I am building this in wordpress, and I'm guessing that means my approach will be different than if I wasn't using wordpress.

Here's how one page would work: There are 10 images shown. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. When number 1 is clicked on, I want a new image - 1a. When 2 is clicked on, 2a. So there are 20 different images in all on a given page.

Also, I want the user to be able to click on the image again to restore the original image. I would prefer onclick to onmouseover.

There will be literally dozens of pages like this on the site, managed by wordpress, so hundreds of images to swap. Basically the first image is a question - the second image is the answer.

Is this possible?

You can get a better idea of what I mean by clicking the 'plus' icons for the three colored tabs above the main content. Or if anybody has a more elegant way to get the divs to toggle under their respective headers, I'd love to hear. Thank you.

here is my issue... i have an object and i need to call two functions. i need the onclick="something" to call a server side function and then i need another onclick="something" to call a javascript funtion... the problem is you can only have one "onclick" (similar to having one "class")... how can I set up an onclick that will call both my serverside function and my javascript function... I realize this is not specifically serverside section of forum, so pretend I am asking how to call two separate javascript functions with different names

just showing this to clarify that javascript does work with the asp and my mouse functions are working fine... my asp onclick works as well.. i can remove the asp and leave the js and it will work, but then all the stuff i do server side for the onclick goes away

is this able to be done? this is for dev testing and i will eventually run into the same problem of needing to call two separate javascipt functions via onmouseover and also onmouseout

Im having problems with this code working as it should.

the top banner is supposed to cycle
the second banner is supposed to be random
the 3rd is a slide show that is supposed to work in order

I have a page of dates in a form field which currently are being entered manually and wish to have a calendar pop up for each one to make it a bit easier.

i have managed to use a calendar routine 'tigra calendar' i found online but now after working out not to get it working within my own template i faced the problem on multiple date fields.

i currently use a numbers field 1-10 or how every many there needs to be on that page. but how would i integrate this within the coding from 'tigra calendar'

can anyone suggest a better way to do this.

if needed i can sort out a zip file of the files i have for tigra calendar.
