JavaScript - Auto-fill Date Script For Pdf Form
What I am looking to do is auto-populate a number of forms based on what a user chooses as a starting date.
For example: If a user enters 12/12/2009 I want the other fields to automatically populate with the next 2 weeks (12/13/2009, 12/14/2009, 12/15/2009 etc.) Anyone have a useful script that I can use given that these fields are formatted as dates? The idea is to save time by only having to fill in the first date in the timesheet. Similar TutorialsHey I got two text boxes one for start date and second for end date in that i want to fill text boxes according to Quarter of a year, as like if i put 1-4-2012 in first text box then in second text box values should be automatically 30-6-2012. So now tell me please how to do this ??????? Regards rajboy13 Contact me @ = rajboy13@gmail.com hey guys so I need a way to auto select certain radio buttons and then submit the page. here is the form: https://spreadsheets.google.com/view...I0NGNiMDQ&ifq0 for questions 1 and 2 i would like the answer submitted to be "no" and for all others "no" ive been trying to do this with the little coding knowledge i have for 2 hours with no success. thanks in advance guys/gals! Hey guys i have been fighting with this issue for some time so I figured i would join this forum and ask for some help for once. Here is what i am trying to accomplish. I have a drop down menu in place to select a month and a year for our owners to select and check their availability calendar. The issue is that i am tired of every month/year going into the code to change the preselected month/year setup less i hear screaming to high heaven from the owners that "The month isnt the current month" constantly. Here is the code i am currently using. <p align="left"><font face="Verdana"> <!--webbot bot="Validation" b-value-required="TRUE" b-disallow-first-item="TRUE" --> <select size="1" name="arrivemonth" value="%%arrivemonth%%"> <option>Select Month</option> <option value="01" SELECTED>January</option> <option value="02">February</option> <option value="03">March</option> <option value="04">April</option> <option value="05">May</option> <option value="06">June</option> <option value="07">July</option> <option value="08">August</option> <option value="09">September</option> <option value="10">October</option> <option value="11">November</option> <option value="12">December</option> </select></font></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD bordercolorlight="#808080" bordercolordark="#808080"> <font face="Verdana"> <!--webbot bot="Validation" b-value-required="TRUE" b-disallow-first-item="TRUE" --><select size="1" name="arriveyear" value="%%arriveyear%%"> <option>Select year</option> <option value="2004">2004</option> <option value="2005">2005</option> <option value="2006">2006</option> <option value="2007">2007</option> <option value="2008">2008</option> <option value="2009">2009</option> <option value="2010" SELECTED>2010</option> <option value="2011">2011</option> </select> All i am trying to accomplish is a code that will check the current month and year then preselect the value in the drop down automatically. This information is then fed to a .CGI script to pull data from our local server for their condo availability. Any ideas anyone? Hi folks. Looking to see if anyone could tell me where I'm going wrong with this script... I'm trying to have a field automatically filled with the day of the week ("Monday", "Tuesday", "Wednesday" and so on), upon the user selecting a date from the datepicker jQuery. If this isn't clear, I'll clarify further down the page. Here is the script: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('input[name="item_meta[428]"]').change(function(){ var d = $('input[name="item_meta[428]"]').val(); var n = new Date(d).getDay(); if(n == 0) val v = 'Sunday'; else if(n == 1) val v = 'Monday'; else if(n == 2) val v = 'Tuesday'; else if(n == 3) val v = 'Wednesday'; else if(n == 4) val v = 'Thursday'; else if(n == 5) val v = 'Friday'; else if(n == 6) val v = 'Saturday'; $('input[name="item_meta[429]"]').val(v).change(); }); }); </script> I'm basically trying to say, if the user selected today (15/05/2012) in the field 428 it would fill the field 429 with "Tuesday". Again, if the user selected 18/05/2012 in the field 428 then it would automatically fill field 429 with "Friday". It's being done to work in conjunction with a wordpress plugin called Formidable Pro hence the item_meta[428] etc. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Sam. Hi, I want to create a javascript: url that will automatically enter a few pieces of information into a registration form provided by a 3rd party. Basically I just want to help users navigate the form a little quicker, and the form doesn't accept query strings. I am running into the fact that when the page is loaded, the cache is flushed. So, I have 2 working javascript: URLs, and I want to combine them into a bookmarklet (and then make it a tinyurl). Can I do that? Thanks, Chris javascript: top.location.href='http://www.google.com/'; javascript: document.f.q.value='This works too'; Hello, I would like to program a custom link for my visitors, which will fill a payment form on an external page automatically. As an ultimate goal, I would like to press a link, which will send necessary information to this external page, fill it in the right forms, and press "submit" button there. If there is no way to do all these tasks in only one link, then just filling the forms would be great. I've tried something like: Code: <a href="https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage.aspx" style="cursor:pointer;" onclick="document.getElementById('emailAddress').value='somemail@mail.com';"> Pay to "somemail@mail.com" </a> Unfortunately this approach didn't work for me. The other problem is that I need to fill more fields on this external page (https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage.aspx), like payment amount, email address, reason for payment, etc. I've found out that I can send Email as a parameter in an URL: https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage...email@mail.com (will work only with a valid email, as it goes through a validation on their page). Is there any way to get the names of other parameters (like "email", "payment", etc.)? Please let me know if there are any possible ways to program such a task. I believe that JavaScript should be used here, but if not, please advise me on different ways of programming such a solution. Thank you in advance, Anatoliy. I am using this script to automatically set the current date on a form... However, when I post the form, it is actually putting the Day +1 into the database (the year and month are correct). So for example if I set the date to June 8, 2011 on the form, it will post into the db as 2011-06-09. I am not sure whats going on... Also, if the form has a missing input field (and the form reloads), the date resets back to the current date, instead of retaining the php-printed date values. In the head, I have: Code: <script> var monthtext=['January','February','March','April','May','June','July','August','September','October','November','December']; function populatedropdown(dayfield, monthfield, yearfield){ var today=new Date() var dayfield=document.getElementById(dayfield) var monthfield=document.getElementById(monthfield) var yearfield=document.getElementById(yearfield) for (var d=1; d<32; d++) dayfield.options[d]=new Option(d, d+1) dayfield.options[today.getDate()]=new Option(today.getDate(), today.getDate(), true, true) //select today's day for (var m=0; m<12; m++) monthfield.options[m]=new Option(monthtext[m], monthtext[m]) monthfield.options[today.getMonth()]=new Option(monthtext[today.getMonth()], monthtext[today.getMonth()], true, true) //select today's month var thisyear=today.getFullYear() for (var y=0; y<4; y++){ yearfield.options[y]=new Option(thisyear, thisyear) thisyear-=1 } yearfield.options[0]=new Option(today.getFullYear(), today.getFullYear(), true, true) //select today's year } </script> In the form I have: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> //populatedropdown(id_of_day_select, id_of_month_select, id_of_year_select) window.onload=function(){ populatedropdown("daydropdown", "monthdropdown", "yeardropdown") } </script> <tr> <td> <select name="Month" id="monthdropdown"> <option value="<?php print "$Month"; ?>"><?php print "$Month"; ?></option> </select> <select name="Day" id="daydropdown"> <option value="<?php print "$Day"; ?>"><?php print "$Day"; ?></option> </select> <select name="Year" id="yeardropdown"> <option value="<?php print "$Year"; ?>"><?php print "$Year"; ?></option> </select> </td> </tr> I have an html page "PageA" which contains a "link" to another html page "PageB". The link is handled as a form submit because PageA sends some variables which it wants "processed". However, PageB is NOT a CGI script but simply another html page which happens to contain a form. This form handles the desired processing. I would appreciate some help getting some javascript in place, in PageA, in order to automatically fill in a form field in PageB with a variable supplied by PageA. The complications here a 1) PageB is not a CGI script and so sending variables via a query string does not work. (The variables never get read by PageB.) 2) PageB is maintained by another organisation so I cannot modify it. (Actually I could, as I have a local copy, but I would have to redo after every new release and so this is not acceptable.) It therefore needs to be treated as an independent page. 3) The variable is quite a lengthy one, it is extracted from a database and changes depending on how PageA was called, so I want to do this for repeated instances and cutting and pasting to a new page on each occasion is not attractive. 4) I would like to open PageB in a separate window or tab as I want to be able to reference both pages at once. (This is not essential to the key problem but may influence the solution. A solution which depended on the window being the same I would not regard as satisfactory.) The relationship between the documents is probably most accurately described as "PageB is a section of PageA". It is providing some additional information on aspects of what is in PageA. The output from submission of PageB can be quite lengthy. The actual form field in PageB I want to fill in is a textarea element and I know its name (call it name1) and also the name of the form (call it form1). But I don't think the field type should be important. I simply want to update its value (presumably after a page load?). Is this possible without editing PageB? I would appreciate some guidance if not a proven solution. Perhaps I have overlooked something but I can't find a working solution to this particular problem and my experiments to date don't work. Thanks Hi, I have a form with 9 text fields and a text area. What I want to do is replace the text in the text area depending on how many fields contain text. For example my text boxes are named 1 to 9, if the user enters text in the first five boxes I want the text area to auto fill with 'you have selected boxes 1 to 5' if the user selects all nine it will say 'you have selected 1 to 9', therefore, the user must complete the text boxes in order. I have it working with an onchange event but i have a button on the form to also auto fill the text boxes and it does not work if this is clicked. Any help would be appreciated! hello there this is in vb script. but i dont where to post it. can any one hlep me out plzz I need to check if the date entered by user is within 5th date from current date. I am trying to do it this way entered date has month and date value Code: sResvDate = 01/24 Set sMaxDays to getdate(5) but get date will give year too. and how do i compare if it less than 5th day or not. Been trying to get this auto refreshed instead of clicking to refresh <center><iframe src="http://orange.citrus3.com:8338/played.html" width=800 height=400 frameborder=0 scrolling=no id="myiframe"></iframe></center><br> <center><b><BIG><body link="#FF0000"><a href="javascript:myiframe.document.location.reload()">Refresh Current Song</a></BIG></b></center> I currently have this on my companies website and it's having a bit of trouble sometimes where it will only work after a refresh. Is it possible to do a refresh of this div and script as soon as the site loads, instead of using the auto refresh. I tried using auto refresh and it works but whatever time interval I put for the auto refresh is the time that the script pops up, so it kind of just makes it worst. Code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#twitter").getTwitter({ userName: "lubellrosen", numTweets: 4, loaderText: "Loading Events...", slideIn: true, slideDuration: 750, showHeading: false, headingText: "Latest Tweets", showProfileLink: false, showTimestamp: false }); }); </script> I have used the following script to make provide matching value suggestions for any text typed in the text box and user can select any value by clicking it this works fine in firefox, crome but not in IE. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Ajax Auto Suggest</title> <!--http://www.nodstrum.com/2007/09/19/autocompleter/ --> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.2.1.pack.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function lookup(inputString) { if(inputString.length == 0) { // Hide the suggestion box. $('#suggestions').hide(); } else { $.post("rpc.asp?inputString="+inputString+"", {}, function(data){ if(data.length >0) { $('#suggestions').show(); $('#autoSuggestionsList').html(data); } }); } } // lookup function fill(thisValue) { $('#inputString').val(thisValue); boxhide(); } function boxhide() { setTimeout("$('#suggestions').hide();", 200); } </script> <style type="text/css"> body { font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 11px; color: #000; } h3 { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } .suggestionsBox { position: relative; left: 30px; margin: 10px 0px 0px 0px; width: 200px; background-color: #212427; -moz-border-radius: 7px; -webkit-border-radius: 7px; border: 2px solid #000; color: #fff; } .suggestionList { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } .suggestionList li { margin: 0px 0px 3px 0px; padding: 3px; cursor: pointer; } .suggestionList li:hover { background-color: #659CD8; } </style> </head> <body> <div> <form> <div> Type your county: <br /> <input type="text" size="30" value="" id="inputString" onkeyup="lookup(this.value);" onblur="boxhide();" /> </div> <div class="suggestionsBox" id="suggestions" style="display: none;"> <img src="upArrow.png" style="position: relative; top: -12px; left: 30px;" alt="upArrow" /> <div class="suggestionList" id="autoSuggestionsList"> </div> </div> </form> </div> </body> </html> rpc.asp returns values matching the inputstring passed <li id='suggestedValue' onclick=""fill('Matchvalue');"">Matchvalue</li> Any help? Thanks for reading. I believe this is a JavaScript question, but if not, let me know and I'll move to another heading. I'd like a script that would allow a user to complete a sentence in a maximum of 140 characters (we'll let Twitter set the standard) and then rotate each users output on the screen. I also need to capture a name and email address. Example: "A man is _______________" Name________________ Email ________________ Output (to be displayed and rotated above the form) A man is a friend. I believe a HTML form will capture the info, but I'm unclear on how to have the output and name appear on the same screen and rotate between responses. Many Thanks. i have this code included within a .php file on my website. I realised that my %age rules defining the width of my website page dont really work once i get to wider sizes so i want to use a fixed width page design using css code (only once wide enough) to achieve this. Please have a look at my code and tell me what im doing wrong i cant find anything wrong with my js. If js is anything like python i may need to change the output from a string to an integer or something along those lines. I can easily just doc.write the width but i cant get it to compare properly Code: <script type="text/javascript"> if (document.body.clientWidth > 1280) {document.write('<link href="wdestyle.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />')}; else {document.write('<link href="nrostyle.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />')}; </script> Let me first say I am not a java programmer but I can follow the tutorials and get some things to work. Here I am trying to create a password protected page, realizing the level of security is not very high. This page of code, link1.html, will be blank and if the correct password is entered then I want to automatically link to another page, barcs.html. I simply cannot find a way to do it.....Thanks Code: <html> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" http-equiv="content-type"> <title>Psw test link 1</title> <script language="JavaScript"> <!--hide var password; var pass1="cool"; var pass2="awesome"; var pass3="geekazoid"; password=prompt('Please enter your password to view this page!',' '); if (password==pass1 || password==pass2 || password==pass3) alert('Password Correct! Click OK to enter!'); else { window.location="http://www.acma-rc.com/"; } //--> </script> </head> <body> This is link1.html<br> </body> </html> Ok - I'm using an 'off the peg' shopping cart (Mal's e-commerce) that posts items to the cart using a standard form with a submit button. What I want to do is send an item to the cart 'automatically', that is without the user actually filling a form or pressing a 'submit' button. What I send to the cart will be dependant upon the value of a cookie that will have been set at some earlier point in the session. My plan was to use document.write statements to build the 'form' and send it to the shopping cart... Here is the kind of form i will be creating: <form method="post" /> <input type="hidden" name="product" value="XXXXXXXX" /> <input type="hidden" name="price" value="0.00" /> <input type="hidden" name="qty" value="1" /> <input type="submit" value="add to basket" /> </form> 1) 1st problem the product value "XXXXXXXX" actually needs to be 'constructed' out of text plus the value held in the cookie eg... 'here is your COOKIEVALUE product' what i was going to try here was "here is your" + COOKIEVALUE + "product" which doesn't work - but that's what I'm trying to achieve. 2) 2nd problem is the submit 'button' needs to be an automatic 'invisible' action - i don't actually want to give them a button to click i just want to submit it from the coding. Hope that makes some kind of sense! Could someone edit this script so the date is always 2 weeks infront of the actual date? <script language="JavaScript"> <!-- var now = new Date(); var days = new Array( 'Sunday','Monday','Tuesday', 'Wednesday','Thursday','Friday','Saturday'); var months = new Array( 'January','February','March','April','May', 'June','July','August','September','October', 'November','December'); var date = ((now.getDate()<10) ? I would like the minutes to be only 5 seconds long versus the normal 60 seconds per minute. I fly a flight sim and the in game world clock is accelerated at this pace and my squad would like to be able to see the time it would currently be in the game so we can avoid launching the game at certain in game times. If this can't be done, does anyone know of a separate java script that can accomplish this? Thank you in advance, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. |
