JavaScript - Script To Make Cookie To Remember Font Resize
I have been trying for some time now to find a script to create a cookie for the following, so that the user selected font size is remebered throughtout the site.
I have traweled the internet for some time now but all to no avail, the only guides i can find are for resizing a single element, which is no good for what i require. i am no good at javascript but could someone please help me, so that if customers has clicked the remember me box, if they go to the homepage then when they click customer login it will redirect them straight away if they have previously ticked the remember me box. thankyou so much. I am hitting a brick wall, dont know what to do? Hi, I have a website where the user can navigate different categories by tab. The problem is, when they're on a tab other than the default one and they refresh the page or click to another page, it puts them back on the first tab. I know this can be solved by using a session cookie of some type, I just need some help on implementing it into my site. http://www.thatswhyimbroke.com/ - so you can see what i'm talking about. If you look at the different tabs: Price High, price low, food & drink, etc. I want the user to be able to go to one of those, click to page 2 or refresh, and still be on that tab. This method resizes based on the content but it gives more extra space between the content and the footer which is not our site standards. I know how to execute a script using the (window).resize event but I effectively need to 'destroy' the initial instance and re-load it. This must be acheived without refreshing the browser If it helps I'm using the SmoothDivScroll plugin which has a known bug whereby widths aren't recalculated when the window is resized. Hi I would appreciate a pointer in the right direction for a script I require. I will have two text boxes that will accept numeric values and an image. What I need is if the user change the value of box 1, the value in box 2 will automatically update depending on the pixel dimensions of the image and vice versa. Basically I need to automatically calculate the pixel ratio of an image and then use that value to multiply by the user inputted size. Any ideas? Rob i have this code included within a .php file on my website. I realised that my %age rules defining the width of my website page dont really work once i get to wider sizes so i want to use a fixed width page design using css code (only once wide enough) to achieve this. It's got some JQuery in it (.width() and .height()) to make manipulation of the dimensions easier to manage. Basically, it's supposed to resize all the images on the webpage to the size of their parent elements (divs) without losing aspect ratio. Image overflow will be hidden so that no matter what the aspect ratio of the image and it's container the largest possible area of the image will be exposed. The alert() function I have at the bottom is supposed to run as a test that each loop is working correctly. However, my images don't get resized and I get no alert. I think the loop may be breaking out before it goes through everything. Anyone have ideas? I'm not a Javascript coder. I have 3 HTML form inputs fields that is dynamically generated by a "add more" button, with naming for the fields name as fieldName, fieldName1, fieldName2, fieldName3, and so on. Now, I'm trying to retrieve the value from this fields with JavaScript, using the script below. var bookingForm = document.forms['formName']; var qty = bookingForm.fieldName +'i'.value; with the 'i' been a generated numeric number by a for loop when I use alert(qty), it returns NaN, when I'm expecting the value for fieldName1, fieldName2, and so on. But when I use; var qty = bookingForm.fieldName.value I can get the value in that field but get NaN when I try to concatenate 1,2,3, with the fieldName. Any help will be very much appreciated. Hello! As you can see it has a variable that lets me give a name to the results, in this case I have used Related Results. This code is used once at the back and in that way it used by my every page. So e-g if I change it to More Results it will changed everywhere on all pages. Like i said, its working fine. However i was hoping to make it also work on the fly, so if the user resizes the window, the different stylesheets are used. Ive been told to: 1. Put the working gubbins into a separate function and 2. Call the function from both load and resize events - But i dont know how to do this. Any help would be really appreciated!
