JavaScript - Multi Drop-down Menu + Iframe ?
Hello
Im after a very specific layout for my dropdown menu. Basically 3 menu boxes listed vertically in a table and then an iframe underneath. When a user selects an option in box 1 , i would like a specific list of options to be displayed in box 2 . The options shown in box 2 must be dependent on box 1 i.e. as the box 1 selection changes , so do the box 2 options. Same thing applies with box 3 - when the user changes box 2 , i would like a specific list of options displayed in box 3. Then when a selection is made in box 3 , i want a certain page to load in an iframe below the 3 boxes. If you could also populate each box with some sample data so i can replace it to fit my site as needed by myself :-) So in a nutshell:- User Clicks Box 1 --> Specific Options Appear In Box 2 User Clicks Box 2 --> Specific Options Appear In Box 3 User Makes A Choice In Box 3 --> Specific Page Loads In Iframe Below (Already Got This Bit Figured Out) Help much appreciated on this. Thank you very much in advance! I know how to edit the CSS, and minute parts of the JavaScript code (for example; speed of the drop). The problem is, I had a massive amount of help making the Javascript side of the menu, and do not know how to edit it... I want the rules to still apply, where only one can be expanded at a time (one of the first drops, and then only one of the sub-drops). I noticed in the code, I can edit it so there can be more than one drop, but that would mean, the whole menu could be expanded Also, I want my sub-drops. to have different span colour than the main drop. but trhe links and such, (everything else about it) can be the same.... Thank you for any help and/or advice in advance, Best Regards, Tim i'm working with a city select option, a hotel select option & an iframe. the hotel select option is populated depending on the chosen city which then updates the iframe src. this is all working fine. the trouble im having is that when the page is refreshed, normal f5 way, the hotel option changes whereas the city option & the iframe src remains the same?? this problem does not occur on a force refresh via control + f5 as then both select options & iframe src revert to their original state. Ok, I paid to have a website built, yet the developer used iFrames to accomplish the task. Basically, load a parent page, and then in an iframe, lod content chosen from a menu. Is there a way to create a menu at the homepage level, that will allow a menu listing the various parent pages, and under each parent page, have a drop down that will point directly at an iframe content? Like this? Page1 Page2 Page3 Page1ContentA Page1ContentB Page1ContentC And when you click Page1ContentC, it will load Page1.htm and in the iframe load Page1ContentC? I have some Javascript code for a drop-down menu. The code works fine (will show below) but I was wondering how to turn off one of them? I have a total of 8 icons that have drop-down menus, but I only need 6 of them to do so. If I make any sort of change to the code, it makes all the icons change color when the mouse is hovered over, instead of drop-downs. It seems to be an "all or nothing" situation. Any help would be much appreciated!! I presently have a drop down menu in one of my sites. I wish to break it down one more time so that it opens up on the side. However, not being a javascript expert I cannot figure out how to do it. I assume it is something within the coding that needs to be changed, or even a new section added.
