JavaScript - Hiding My Javascript Source
I want to hide my JavaScript but when I checked the FAQ of this forum, I saw that it said that it isn't possible.
But how did worldometers.info did it? Because I cant find the JavaScript source. Similar TutorialsI have a store that sells certain products. When you add a product to the cart and go to view your cart you can estimate shipping costs. It will list different shipping methods and the cost to ship them. However, there is one shipping method called "Request a Quote" that has a price value of 0.01. This can confuse customers because they sometimes think that the shipping is only $0.01 when it really isn't. So I want to just remove this value, but still list pricing for all the other shipping methods. I know I can just do this using CSS and setting the display to none. But am having trouble getting it to work. Well not the forms themselves, more with how they appear (and disappear). Like stated I have 2 forms on my website. When coming to my website they should be hidden (standard). When someone wants to order they press the link for order form A or form B. From here I am running into several problems. Problem #1 I want each form only to appear when they click on a link. For example; when a person clicks on link 1 form A appears. If they click on link 2 form B appears. Problem #2 If form A appears and they click on link 2, than form A should disappear and form B should be visible and the other way around. Problem #3 Is it possible to load a page within the DIV for example I want form B to include extra-info.php. Is this possible? If I understand correctly the above would be possible with Javascript and with the use of hidden DIV's. But I really don't know much about Javascript to pull this of myself. Anyone in here who can help me out and provide me with a working example? I would be very grateful... If something is not clear, please do no hesitate to ask me... I am trying to make an order form I am working on accessible for users who have javascript turned off in their browser, and to do this I would like to hide a div if JS is disabled. I realize I can write a long string variable with all the code, but that would be visible a browser window -> view source window ( I know it won't hide the code in a separate source file) The object is to have a widget all in one file, rather than having a separate html, css file and another javascript code file. Hello, I'm new to the forum. I tried coding this myself, but i'm just not that well versed in javascript and need a little help. I am trying to show certain div tags when you click on a hyperlink in an html document. I have four links (bio, news, portfolio, and resume) and four div tags (bio, news, portfolio, and resume). How does one go about swapping the Javascript Source file for another on when a checkbox is clicked, obviously the sources have to revert to their normal state on reload or unchecking the checkbox: this would be the original source: <script type="text/javascript" src="Includes/eng_chars.js"></script> it would be swapped for this souce file on checkbox checked: <script type="text/javascript" src="Includes/heb_chars.js"></script> and then returned to <script type="text/javascript" src="Includes/eng_chars.js"></script> when the checkbox is unchecked, page is reloaded or the the reset (clear form) button is pushed Thanks Hi, Sorry for the (HELP!) addition in the title, but i'm just stumped here. Hi - I'm working in ASP.Net 2.0. My page has a GridView control, which is populated by a SQLDataSource. The GridView has one Button control per row. The button has a client-side javascript function (ShowDelete) attached to its OnClientClick event on DataBinding of the GridView. This event fires some javascript. The javascript does 3 things: - It changes the text of the button from "Hide" to "Create" - It changes the background color of the button from red to green - It assigns a new onClientClick event to the button: "ShowAvailable" The text and the color of the button change with no problem. After I change the OnClientClick event, I send an alert with the button's OnClientClick event and it reports it to be "ShowAvailable". However, when I click on the button, it doesn't fire ShowAvailable, it fires the original onClientClick event (ShowDelete). Also, when I do View Source, it shows the button's text, color and OnClientClick event as their original settings, i.e., "Hidden", "Red" and "ShowDelete", even though I'm looking at a green button that says "Create." This indicates that the above "address-bar javascript code" must have been stored somewhere in the current page. My question is: where is the "address-bar javascript code" stored in the current page? or equivalently, is it possible to retrieve the "address-bar javascript code" by using some other javascript codes? I checked document.childNodes and document.documentElement, but cannot find the javascript source code. Maybe the source code is stored in the window object? How to retrieve it? There is plenty of info about creating server side javascript which can use php/asp to pull in xml etc and process but there is nothing I could find identifying how to do the same thing but with the javascript being client side only, e.g chrome plugin code. In summary, I have a website that I frequently visit (FWIW, Firefox 3.x is my browser of choice) with many image sources referring to URLs that end with "-thumbnail.jpg". However, for better image quality, I am trying to use Greasemonkey to replace all instances of "-thumbnail.jpg" in the source of images on this site with "-bigthumbnail.jpg". The closest I could think of was to somehow use getElementsByTagName and innerHTML.replace, but realized that innerHTML does not do HTML, only content. This is the scenario: the div should never appear again for that user, until i write another server side message. lets say i write a message today saying " we are really sorry, but the website will be don for one hour today" and you login today, the message will be displayed, when you click close its closed, it wont appear again for you, until i post another message, but each message would have an expiration date, if i post a message which would be displayed to every user, i should decide how long i want it displayed, maybe 24 hrs, so in 24 hrs the message should no longer display.
