JavaScript - Auto Complete Script Not Working In Ie
I have used the following script to make provide matching value suggestions for any text typed in the text box and user can select any value by clicking it

Hi, I'm trying to work through a head first book on ajax and javascript. I am also trying to emplement some of the codes in a small application I had built strictly with server side code. What it does is: two input fields for user defined values. Once the user inputs the two values, they are passed to the action page, some simple math is performed on these 2 values, and then 4 different resluts are displayed back on the action page. What I wanted was of course to make this asynchronous and display the results without a page reload. So, when I reworked the book code for my own use, and try to run the application, I get an error saying my url variable is undefined. The value of the first input seems to be passed though. One thing of note to mention is the application was written in coldfusion. The form values are passed using cf. Not sure if that matters. Again, the url variable says it is undefined. But the variable "lamp" contains the form field value. Thanks for any help and tips in advance! I currently have this on my companies website and it's having a bit of trouble sometimes where it will only work after a refresh. Is it possible to do a refresh of this div and script as soon as the site loads, instead of using the auto refresh. I tried using auto refresh and it works but whatever time interval I put for the auto refresh is the time that the script pops up, so it kind of just makes it worst. What I am looking to do is auto-populate a number of forms based on what a user chooses as a starting date. For example: If a user enters 12/12/2009 I want the other fields to automatically populate with the next 2 weeks (12/13/2009, 12/14/2009, 12/15/2009 etc.) Anyone have a useful script that I can use given that these fields are formatted as dates? The idea is to save time by only having to fill in the first date in the timesheet. Let me first say I am not a java programmer but I can follow the tutorials and get some things to work. i have this code included within a .php file on my website. I realised that my %age rules defining the width of my website page dont really work once i get to wider sizes so i want to use a fixed width page design using css code (only once wide enough) to achieve this. The error I get in IE8 is "This page cannot be displayed..." and give a http500 error with no other info. It looks like this javascript code was copied and pasted throughout this same ASP page and altered to do different things. Hi All, I am using one script which is functioning properly incase of IE but incase of Mozilla evenif the shift key is pressed and any character key is pressed then it is displaying Caps Lock is On. can anyone tell how can I make it Mozilla and IE compatible. Explanation: element "loodgieters" is a menu button that should change on mouseover. It doesn't in FF, it does in IE. Secondly, when you "mousover" the image, it should change the backgroundcolor of a second element (foto1). Element 'foto1' is a table cell. In return, when you mouse-over this table cell, the image element 'loodgieters' should change as well. So it's a two-way thing.
