JavaScript - Open Web Browser Using Eclipse
I am using a program on my vista comp. and am using Java as the code and eclipse as the compiler. I am trying to create a program that can opne up the web browser when i click "run". I want to open the page: yahoo.com, and then i want the program to automattically input my user name and password.
I'm not sure how to tell eclipse to view the source code so that it can navigate to the username tag and input the information. Is this even possible? Is Java the right program to do this? Any help? Thanks, JayTee Similar TutorialsI have found this Alarm Clock from JavaScript Kit and when the alarm time is reached it redirects to the URL entered. Thanks Hi there, I have a photo editing business with many people working in Photoshop. I am currently developing a web based application (joblist) using Javascript and PHP which should allow the photoshop designers to browse and open files/images directly from joblist/web browser into photoshop. The reason I want this instead of browsing folder is that I have a database where I store who worked on which file, when and how long it took. The concept is that, designers will select a file and click on start, as soon as they click on start the original file will open in Photoshop and there will be an entry into database (using PHP). Once they finish the task they will close the file and click on Finish button. My joblist application will be published in a local server and the file will be open on a local network, so when they save the file it will be saved where the source file is located in (local server). The application should work in both PC and Mac. Anybody can help me to write the code (PHP or Javascript) which can open the file from browser (local server) directly into desktop application e.g. PHotoshop or Illustrator? Thank you very much I look forward to someone's real help! I would like for the new website to open in a completely new window/browser when my members simply click on the index page (No link or Buttons). The code below does most of what I ask lol,but it.. 1.Only opens in a new tab (in same browser) while I would like for it to open in a completely new browser "full page" menu bar scroll tab and all. plus 2.It seems to open each and every time the page is clicked, which will be annoying to my members.I would only like for it to open 1 time per visitor every 24 hours or whenever cookies are cleared. Code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function click_on() { window.open("URL HERE", "_blank"); } </script> </head> <body onclick="click_on()"> </body> </html> I am no expert at this, and my knowledge is very limited,so excuse me if this is a simple situation.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Roco <Sorry, Wrong Board.>
Let me start of by saying that I'm a designer, not a programmer so I'll apologize in advance for having very little knowledge of javascript. I found a free script for a auto-advancing slideshow that allows you to give each image in the slideshow a unique link. My problem is that when you click on one of the pictures the link opens in a new window instead of loading in the default browser window. I have tried to search google for an answer but my lack of javascript knowledge has left me scratching my chin. Here's the code in the head of my page: Code: <script language="JavaScript1.1"> <!-- /* JavaScript Image slideshow */ var slideimages=new Array() var slidelinks=new Array() function slideshowimages(){ for (i=0;i<slideshowimages.arguments.length;i++){ slideimages[i]=new Image() slideimages[i].src=slideshowimages.arguments[i] } } function slideshowlinks(){ for (i=0;i<slideshowlinks.arguments.length;i++) slidelinks[i]=slideshowlinks.arguments[i] } function gotoshow(){ if (!window.winslide||winslide.closed) winslide=window.open(slidelinks[whichlink]) else winslide.location=slidelinks[whichlink] winslide.focus() } //--> </script> and here's the Body code: Code: <script> <!-- //configure the paths of the images, plus corresponding target links slideshowimages("images/services/3d_meter.jpg", "images/services/3d_prototype.jpg", "images/services/3d_stage_renderings.jpg", "images/services/atsite.jpg", "images/services/netstar.jpg", "images/services/photo_manipulation.jpg", "images/services/powerpoint.jpg") slideshowlinks("/", "/", "/", "/", "/", "/", "/") //configure the speed of the slideshow, in miliseconds var slideshowspeed=8000 var whichlink=0 var whichimage=0 function slideit(){ if (!document.images) return document.images.slide.src=slideimages[whichimage].src whichlink=whichimage if (whichimage<slideimages.length-1) whichimage++ else whichimage=0 setTimeout("slideit()",slideshowspeed) } slideit() //--> </script> fooling around with it, I think I have determined that my problem is the window.open in the function gotoshow, but again, I'm a designer who has little knowledge of how this actually works. If it helps, here is a link to my site where I have the slideshow, http://gravescreativedesign.com/services.html All of the images link to the index page for my site at the moment for testing purposes, but these images will eventually link to different urls within my portfolio section of my website. Hello! I am trying to find a script that allows you to open multiple browser tabs and then close each of those tabs, either one by one or all at once. Does anyone know how to do this please? Thanks so much for your help. Hi Ive found out how to force another browser window to open at a certain size when a link is clicked. Here's the whole line of code including the layer, the javascript and the image, <div id="Layer6" style="position:absolute; width:10px; height:8px; z-index:6; left: 561px; top: 310px"><a href="javascript:;" onClick="MM_openBrWindow('navigation%20instructions.htm','','width=50,height=50')"><img src="images/info.gif" width="15" height="15" border="0"></a></div> How do I adapt this so I can also specify the x&y co-ordinates of the opened window relative to the window that launched it. thanks alot Masten Hi, I want to restrict opening my popup window if it is already opened. For simple scenario, it is quite possible to do but in my case -- 1) When parent page is opening popup window, it is getting refreshed (required from client for some reason). 2) Once submit button is clicked from popup window, again parent page is getting refreshed (again its a requirement from client side). With these 2 conditions, I lost my saved value from variable and hence new popup is keep coming when the action is same. Currently I am using below code to open popup [CODE] function OpenWindow() { if(winPop && !winPop.closed) { alert("Popup is already open"); } else { winPop = window.open('MyPopupPage.aspx'); } } [CODE] Please help me to get rid of this problem. Thanks in advance. - Bhasker I do write some php, but have not much idea about JavaScript. I use window.open to open 10 pages simultaneously. I prefer to open them with a time delay from each other to put less load on the target server. This is my code with no delay. (I played around with setTimeout but can't get it to work.) PHP Code: <a href='http://www.".$new[9]."' onclick="window.open('http://www.".$new[0]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[1]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[2]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[3]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[4]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[5]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[6]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[7]."/'); window.open('http://www.".$new[8]."/')\" target='new300/'>Open 10</a> Greetings, I am currently using the websites tutorial about browser detection using the navigator. http://www.javascriptkit.com/javatutors/navigator.shtml I am however finding myself unable to detect a pattern in order to learn from. My aim is to use Browser detection to have a CSS file for each browser type, such as Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari and then an overall CSS file if none of the above, to fix numerous flaws. For IE and Firefox using the site's code is all well and good and while I haven't tested it yet I'm wondering how to set up the coding so that it can detect a safari browser. There are lots of slashes and d's and brackets and I do find myself unable to understand their purpose. So if someone can explain how I could do it for Safari I would be very appreciative. I need a script that will redirect to a specific page is the browser is safari version 4. if the browser is NOT safari 4 I want the browser to stay on the current page.
Hello, I have a question what is the best way to identify a browser, browser version and OS in javascript. I have try a few scripts but they all fail. This will help me out formating the code for diferent browsers. Thanks window.open() doesn't open an entirely new window in FF3.6, just a new tab suggestions? Edit: Yeah, ok, so if i specify a size smaller than the current standard window, it'll be forced to open a new window. but what if i want a new standard sized window to open entirely? and in any case, i wan t amore direct solution where possible, thanks. Noob, Linux, lost... I found a bit of sample code I want to mod&use that starts with: var fs = require("fs"); then later fs.open, fs.write/read... I've scanned the web, searched codingforums and the best I can come up with is NodeJS. I did a download/install and .... no joy. Thank you. Never mind (for now) it was really late, tired, not thinking (I do that a lot these days) and I CAN"T TPYE. I'm back. configure, make, make install -> 'install' finished successfully' - My first time adding external JS modules? I now have a file "fs.js". The code blows out on the first line: var fs = require("fs"); I've tried req(fs.js) with no luck. What do I need to do? Thanks Hi, i'm very new with JS and have no idea where to go with this. Basically, i'm looking to have a dropdown menu open in new tab once clicked on Go To URL button. Here it is. Code: <div id="drop_box_nav"> <form action="#" onsubmit="return go_nav();"> <select name="my_links" id="my_links"> <option value="url">name</option> <option value="url">name</option> <option value="url">name</option> <option value="url">name</option> </select> <input type="submit" name="sub_nav" id="sub_nav" value="Go to URL" /> </form> </div> <script type="text/javascript" src="subnav.js"></script> This should be extremely simple for most of you but i'm know squat about JS. Thank you. Hi, I have a .HTA application. Hta is an unknown file type for mozilla, it's a MS html application file type.
