JavaScript - Javascript Menu Not Appearing Correctly (screenshot Inside)
Hello,
I followed a Mega Drop Down menu tutorial and everything is working great, except for some reason on certain pages - when the menu drops down, some table elements behind the menu actually appear in front of it? I'm not quite sure what or why this is happening. Similar TutorialsI have a two dropdown menus, the second drop down menu appears depending on what is selected in the first dropdown menu. Problem is that in some browsers, if something is selected in the first dropdown menu, then if I click on the second dropdown menu then a dropdown does not occur, but if I select something in the first dropdown menu again and then click on the second dropdown menu, then the dropdown appears in the second dropdown menu. Why is this happening? In Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari, my second drop down menu appears straight away when I click on it after selecting something on the first dropdown menu for the first time. In google chrome and opera, I have to select options from the first dropdown menu twice to be able to get the second dropdown menu working. The homepage has a uses jQuery and a Stepcarousel script. It secondary nav is appearing behind the #maincontent div. I've tried adjusting the z-index to 10000. No result. I scanned both js files to see if there was a z-index conflict. The largest z-index is 50. It's only happening in IE6. Any suggestions? Hi, I have placed a form validation script in my HTML and I think its all in the right place, however, when i load the page an error appears saying can not get object. Once I click past it, the form validation works as normal. Not sure how to get rid of this error. I have placed the link to the external validation script in the document head Any ideas? Hello all, I've got a problem with a JS dropdown menu that I'm using. It's an unordered HTML list that is driven by a JS file. The menu is at Watt You Need Electrical - Offering Electrical Services For Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula & The Surf Coast Initially when I got the menu template all the top level items and all the list items were coded as links. What I've done is make the Electrical heading just text and the two dropdown list items below it are still links. The menu works both on a desktop with a pointer and also on a mobile device by touch. The problem is that on a mobile device when I touch the Electrical heading the dropdown doesn't appear. The Solar heading and the dropdown below it work fine because the Solar heading is still a link. Obviously I've created the problem by changing the Electrical heading to text from a link but I'd like to be able to have it that way. I've tested using some online mobile device emulators and it works OK there but when I physically test on an Iphone 5 the bug is there. I haven't been able to get my hands on any other phones or devices to test yet so don't know if it's a problem just with Iphones or Ipads. Any help is appreciated. I have a site that we are finishing up. The site is an interactive stair designer. All of the stair parts are pulled dynamicly and uses background images and images to create the final stair system display. The client wants to beable to print the page, but due to background images it prints differently on every browser and not at all in some. I have seen screenshot to pdf applications before, but can't seem to find anything now. Is it possible to create a screenshot and generate a pdf of that page with the image backgrounds? I am looking for code to do it automaticly and not a third party program like Adobe or nitropdf. What are my options? The search box code is suppose to send the inputted search word to the javascript on /promotions.html page and then load the search results http://www.asiconnection.com/Product.../LinkInQS.aspx into the iframe on that page. I am not a JavaScript programmer at all, so I cant really see what I am doing wrong with the following code... Just to explain I have 2 fields on a form that retrieve monetary data from a mysql database. The data is a monetary value e.g. 12.59. Which works fine as normal. I have been asked to hide this value depending on what the customers preferences are set to i.e Show Price = Yes or Show Price = No. Hopefully that makes sense. After lots of deliberation I realised that I couldnt hide the fields because the database called an error saying the price data was missing. So I thought change the field type to a 'password field' and the price data would still be accepted by the database. This thankfully worked and didnt break the php code. So I found some javascript code, chopped and pasted it and came up with the following script. I am quite new to the web design world, and have only taken 2 classes on the subject. I used a Javascript function that was provided to us in one of my HTML coding classes in order to automatically resize the (nesting?) div's according to how long the content in them is. This all seems to work perfectly fine in Google Chrome, as well as most versions of Internet Explorer - however, in some versions of internet explorer, and ALL versions of Firefox, this resize function does not seem to work. Since this coding was provided to me by a teacher (who is unfortunately in another country), I'm not sure what kinda of edit would make it so it would function in Firefox, or if there is a way to make in function in Firefox at all. This website does it perfectly. The user writes the website to the right, and the screenshot is displayed to the left. Hello, I'm developing very simple web site for my gym. It has a main page, index.php and several secondary pages e.g. home.php, services.php, location.php. Secondary pages are reachable via php script called through navigation bar located in index.php. Once it's called the pages are loaded inside a main frame, which is located in index.php as well. Everything works fine, except when I add javascript code (which presents map of the gym) inside location.php site. It really gets on my nerves - just can see 2-3 milliseconds an empty page until the whole page appears... I'm not really familiar with Javascript neither with PhP, but I assume it's because of onload:function(). I got this code from map service from my country (http://www.karte.hr/).
