In my main html file the external javascript file is loaded within the head section. This external file does a lot of other stuff besides returning a number. Now here is my problem.. Somewhere in my html file I need to call the showslide function. What am I doing wrong here? Can I clean up the header section on some of my pages by putting all the javascript stuff in another page, and then using a server side script to assemble the header? If so how do I do this? For example all my pages have the following in the header: <script type="text/javascript" src="css/csshorizontalmenu.js"></script> I want to have this in a seperate file and call with SSI but it doesnt work when I use something like the following: <?php require_once('navigation.php'); ?> Thanks for any help. I have 2 pages, If in test.php i include test2.php everything is working perfect, but if the page appear the script is not working. Hey guys. So right now I'm able to execute javascript code on my website without the use of <script> tags. Example: <body onload=alert("cool");></body> What I want to be able to do is insert an external javascript file located at another website using JavaScript code (not script tags). Hi I'm trying to load a part of a page (that has script in it) into another page using jquery. However, though the html loads in correctly, none of the script is working. The main problem is in "onclick" in <div> element. This script generates: <div id="1" style="position: absolute; top: 100px; left:100px;" onclick="undefined;">device</div> I have a table with tabs on it that calls different php files once the tab is clicked and on top of the table I have a drop list and a button. the whole table has 5 tabs and in there are 15 unique id with information on each tab that the table show when you click on the tab. The drop down list is a selection that you choose from of each of the 15 unique IDs. Once you choose one then click the button you should then only see that specific information about that particular id. (It can be in the table where you click each tab or all of it on one page I dont care.) So I need to get this button to work. Why won't this code work!? Its driving me mad. I'm coding a simple random sentence generator & this is the beginning part of what I'm trying to accomplish. I created 3 different functions with 3 separate buttons & 3 separate text areas to display the noun, verb, or article once the button is pressed. Could you please let me know what i am doing wrong here? Thanks I have the following JavaScript (see below). The script requests an XML file from the server and displays it on the page. The script works fine when the requested XML file is stored on the same server as the script. The problem is when I try requesting an XML file from an external server such as the National Weather Service. I get an error. If I take the XML file from the National Weather Service and save it to my server it works. Why can't I use my script to request XML files stored on external servers? Thanks in advance for any help.
