JavaScript - Setting Forms With Smarty Based Framework
I have set if sentence when form is validate like:
{if $smarty.request.action == "form1"} {nocache} {literal} <script type="text/javascript"> document.location='replyfile'; </script> {/literal} {/nocache} {/if} 1. How to retrieve values with Smarty as fields have value in name='' ...'' as now it does not capture value in form. 2. How to send form ONLY when all fields are validated? I have currently: {if $smarty.request.action == "form1"} and send button like: <input type="submit" name="form" value="Send my messages" class="mybutton" /> How to send after validation is performed? 3. This should mean sending form when name="form1" is clicked. Is it if sentence correct set with name form1? Application is: http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins...in-validation/ Version 1.7. Now is sending when I click on button but it should send values and after validation is made. Similar TutorialsJust starting to look at Handlebars.js today and wanted a clear approach. Assume the following: We don't have control over how the JSON was created (So no server side solutions). JSON will have 1 or more records in it. In each record, there will be a Message_Type name/value pair the value of which would be useful in some function which css class(es) are used in the presentation. ex: message_type: basic, ad, notification, warning, critical. Each message_type will have a css class. So critical message type might get classes .msg_box .critical_msg. How should I do this (remember, we can't change the original source).? Option 1: process json data before handlebars and add name/value pair for each that contains the appropriate classes, or some way in handle bars. Hi someone please let me know the way to access a smarty value with javascript? my smarty value is = {$value.url} i want to access it like Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function load() { document.location = '{$value.url}'; } </script> i tried with wrapping code with {literal} {/literal} but it isnt working. can some one correct this please sorry for bad english Thanks I'm using the autofill forms plugin for firefox which can be found he https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4775 I use it to automatically fill various web forms, duh. But I would like certain values to be chosend randomly from a list I create. I contacted the developer and he said the add on probably does not need a new feature because there is a 'dynamic tags' function to fill certain forms with dynamic values (e.g. the current time or date). He has given over the project to another developer and told me I probably would find a solution in a good javascript programming forum. So here I am! Can anyone help me with this? Basically, I just need a javascript code which chooses on item from an array randomly, I guess? I'm not a programmer myself, so any help would be greatly (!) appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance for any further guidance! Note: Here are sample dynamic tags from the plugin: <datetime> new Date().toLocaleString() <useragent> navigator.userAgent <langcode> navigator.language <resolution> screen.width+'x'+screen.height <clipboard> this.getClipboardText() There are other similar topics, but this one is different. I am making an external js file and I want to use prototype.js with it. I don't want it in the html file that is referencing the .js file, I actually want to use prototype in the .js file. I'd just rather not copy the 4,000 lines of prototype if there is an easier way to do it. Sorry if I'm not being clear, but thanks for the help in advance. Thanks Mishigun Hey All, Recently, I finished making the first version of my own JavaScript framework. Basically, I like Prototype and jQuery so I made one that has what I personally like the best about both of them. Regardless, I'm hoping someone can guide me in the right direction to finding a nice JavaScript documentation creator. Or something that can at least parse my code and get me a decent start on creating the docs. I would also love to easily stylize the pages too. Thanks everyone! Rick Hello all, I want to present my designed and still in development state javascript framework with AMD architecture and many ideas. For first imageination please visit this page: http://arto8.site11.com/arto8-js/bindings.htm Day by day wold changes and new ideas implementation, Regularly visit to see new inovations. Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have 3 pages that I need to put into my framework, they are products, shopping cart and billing. At the moment they work perfectly fine. Here is a live example - http://www.cems.uwe.ac.uk/~r4-george...g/products.php Now, I have a framework for a whole website that I need to put these pages into. (http://www.cems.uwe.ac.uk/~r4-george/wp4/index.php) The index uses a switch statement to go between pages. Here is the index.php PHP Code: <?php # index.php /* * This is the main page. * This page includes the configuration file, * the templates, and any content-specific modules. */ // Require the configuration file before any PHP code: require_once ('./modules/config.inc.php'); // Validate what page to show: if (isset($_GET['p'])) { $p = $_GET['p']; } elseif (isset($_POST['p'])) { // Forms $p = $_POST['p']; } else { $p = NULL; } // Determine what page to display: switch ($p) { case 'about': $page = 'about.inc.php'; $page_title = 'About This Site Again'; break; case 'products': $page = 'products.inc.php'; $page_title = 'Products on this site'; break; case 'this': $page = 'this.inc.php'; $page_title = 'This is Another Page.'; break; case 'that': $page = 'that.inc.php'; $page_title = 'That is Also a Page.'; break; case 'contact': $page = 'contact.inc.php'; $page_title = 'Contact Us'; break; case 'search': $page = 'search.inc.php'; $page_title = 'Search Results'; break; // Default is to include the main page. default: $page = 'main.inc.php'; $page_title = 'Site Home Page'; break; } // End of main switch. // Make sure the file exists: if (!file_exists('./modules/' . $page)) { $page = 'main.inc.php'; $page_title = 'Site Home Page'; } // Include the header file: include_once ('./includes/header.inc'); echo "<div id=\"content\">"; // Include the content-specific module: // $page is determined from the above switch. include ('./modules/' . $page); // Include the footer file to complete the template: include_once ('./includes/footer.inc'); ?> It uses the .inc.php files located in the modules folder to switch between pages. Here is my products.inc.php - PHP Code: <?php # index.php /* * This is the main page. $page); // Include the footer file to complete the template: include_once ('./includes/footer.inc'); ?> This is EXACTLY the same code as the working example. The products get listed correctly but the problem I have is the 'Add to Cart' button fails to work. Live example - http://www.cems.uwe.ac.uk/~r4-george...php?p=products Everything is in the right directory. When I inspect the 'Add to Cart' button in chrome I get the following - Quote: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'value' of undefined addtocartindex.php:51 (anonymous function)index.php:83 onclick Any help is really appreciated, I'm struggling to see what I have done wrong. I don't know whether it's a Javascript problem. If you need any of the code from other pages I can post it too. Thanks in advance. Hello JavaScripters! I was hoping you could help me with an application I'm working on using C# and the .NET Framework that incorporates Javascript. I'm trying to do something similar to to the FireBug / Firefox Inspect Element featu I came across http://www.selectorgadget.com/ which is exactly what I'm trying to do. It's in Javascript and after looking through the source code for the past 2 hours I still don't have a clue how to incorporate it into my program... From what I can tell it uses tokenizing and recursive analysis of DOM elements to figure out CSS selector paths: http://www.selectorgadget.com/stable/lib/dom.js. Here is what I have so far. The javascript code highlights HTML elements such as a <table> tag and changes the border and background color. Code: document.onmouseover = dohighlight; document.onmouseout = dohighlightoff; var BGCOLOR = "#444444"; var BORDERCOLOR = "#FF0000"; // Highlight <table> in grey function dohighlight() { var elem = window.event.srcElement; while (elem!=null && elem.tagName!="TABLE") elem = elem.parentElement; if (elem==null) return; if (elem.border==0) { elem.border = 1; // store current values in custom tag attributes // elem.oldcolor = elem.style.backgroundColor; // store backgroundcolor elem.style.backgroundColor = BGCOLOR; // new background color elem.oldbordercolor = elem.style.borderColor; // same with bordercolor elem.style.borderColor = BORDERCOLOR; var rng = document.body.createTextRange(); rng.moveToElementText(elem); // Make a red border around <table> function dohighlightoff() { var elem = window.event.srcElement; while (elem!=null && elem.tagName!="TABLE") elem = elem.parentElement; if (elem==null) return; if (elem.border==1) { elem.border = 0; // recover values from custom tag attribute values elem.style.backgroundColor = elem.oldcolor; elem.style.borderColor = elem.oldbordercolor; } } Any ideas on how to incorporate the Selectorgadget into my program would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, J Hi and hope someone can help, I'm reading a book on Javascript and I've been doing their tutorial on getting and setting cookies. Trouble is my code, and their supplied sample, don't work. It is supposed to display a very simple page with an image. When you click the image it is supposed to open up a new (very simple) page. Your help resolving this is greatly appreciated. I'm setting up a fictitious shopping page which uses cookies to remember what a user has selected. The products are photographs that the user can select either framed or unframed versions and I'm trying to put a confirmation box if the user actually requests framed and unframed versions of the same photograph. The code I'm using actually worked before I tried to add this extra functionality but I can't work out how to test for this extra bit. Here's my code and it sets cookies with names as either lulworth01 for the unframed version or lulworth01f for the framed version. The bits that work are in black and my extra code for this test is in red. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Rog Code: function getCookie(name) { var index = cart.indexOf(name + "="); if(index == -1) return null; index = cart.indexOf("=", index) +1; var endstr = cart.indexOf(";",index); if (endstr == -1) endstr = cart.length; return unescape(cart.substring(index, endstr)); } function setCookie(name) { if ((name.charAt(name.length-1)='f') && (getCookie(name.substring(0,10))!=null)) { confirm("You seem to have placed orders for both a mounted and framed image of the same photograph.\n\nIs that OK?"); } else { alert("Thank you.\n\nYour basket has been updated."); x=parseInt(getCookie(name)) || 0; y=x+1; var today = new Date(); var expiry = new Date(today.getTime()+28*24*60*60*1000); // plus 28 days document.cookie=name+"="+y+";expires="+expiry.toGMTString(); cart = document.cookie; } } Hi, I'm banging my head off a brick wall with setting up a 3 dimensional array and trying to loop through it. I'm using the EJS framework (http://embeddedjs.com/). We currently have a 2D array set up to list out features. See below: topfeatures: [ "Feature 1", "Feature 2", "Feature 3", "Feature 4", "Feature 5", "Feature 6" ] <ul> [% for(var i = 0; i < this.topfeatures.length; i++) { %] <li>[%= this.topfeatures[i] %]</li> [% } %] </ul> However, the request we have requires headlines for each set of features. Headline 1 Feature1 Feature2 Feature3 Headline 2 Feature4 Feature5 Feature6 Any ideas how I can do this? Hello! I have a superclass where I create a "div" element as a property and then proceed to try and set the element's "id" attribute in a subclass. Interestingly, if I create multiple instances of the subclass with different "id"s, they all end up having the last "id" I specify. I would like it if they retain the individual "id" I specify. Here is the code. Code: function Drag() { this.ele = document.createElement("div"); } function Icon(id) { this.ele.id = id; } Icon.prototype = new Drag(); var hello = new Icon("hello"); var goodbye = new Icon("goodbye"); Hi All, I would like to enable / disable my field validation based upon the status of a given checkbox in my form but I am unsure about how to "unset" the varibles that control the validation. If the user clicks the checkbox, this displays the fields ant enables my validation just fine. But if the user then unckeck the box, the field is hidden but the validation remains enabled and the form cannot be submitted. Here is my code: Code: if (document.getElementById("OnAirVariance").checked) { var sprytextfield3 = new Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField("spryStartTime", "time", {validateOn:["blur"], format:"HH:mm:ss", useCharacterMasking:true}); var sprytextfield4 = new Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField("spryEndTime", "time", {format:"HH:mm:ss", useCharacterMasking:true, validateOn:["blur"]}); var sprytextfield5 = new Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField("spryMaterialID", "none", {validateOn:["blur"]}); var sprytextfield6 = new Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField("spryTitle", "none", {validateOn:["blur"]}); }else{ I NEED TO BE ABLE TO REVERSE THE SET VARIABLES SO THE VALIDATION WILL NOT STAY IN EFFCT } Thanks in advance for any help.
