JavaScript - Setting Forms With Smarty Based Framework

I'm using the autofill forms plugin for firefox which can be found he

I use it to automatically fill various web forms, duh. But I would like certain values to be chosend randomly from a list I create.

I contacted the developer and he said the add on probably does not need a new feature because there is a 'dynamic tags' function to fill certain forms with dynamic values (e.g. the current time or date). He has given over the project to another developer and told me I probably would find a solution in a good javascript programming forum.

So here I am! Can anyone help me with this? Basically, I just need a javascript code which chooses on item from an array randomly, I guess? I'm not a programmer myself, so any help would be greatly (!) appreciated.

There are other similar topics, but this one is different. I am making an external js file and I want to use prototype.js with it. I don't want it in the html file that is referencing the .js file, I actually want to use prototype in the .js file. I'd just rather not copy the 4,000 lines of prototype if there is an easier way to do it. Sorry if I'm not being clear, but thanks for the help in advance.

Hi All,
I am working on dot net framework 1.1.4322.
From my html code of aspx file i have called a javascript function like 'onlick =javascript:saveorder()'. I have two copies of same code(identical - compared wit file compare tool) on different machine. When i run my code on one of the machine i get an error ';' expected which is a Javascript error and same time i wont get this error on another machine. When i searched on line number provided from error i saw few auto generated script which i have not putted there. Can anyone help me with the error at least with the reason.

Hey All,
Recently, I finished making the first version of my own JavaScript framework. Basically, I like Prototype and jQuery so I made one that has what I personally like the best about both of them. Regardless, I'm hoping someone can guide me in the right direction to finding a nice JavaScript documentation creator. Or something that can at least parse my code and get me a decent start on creating the docs. I would also love to easily stylize the pages too. Thanks everyone!

I have 3 pages that I need to put into my framework, they are products, shopping cart and billing. At the moment they work perfectly fine. Here is a live example -

This is EXACTLY the same code as the working example. The products get listed correctly but the problem I have is the 'Add to Cart' button fails to work.

Everything is in the right directory. When I inspect the 'Add to Cart' button in chrome I get the following -

Hello JavaScripters! I was hoping you could help me with an application I'm working on using C# and the .NET Framework that incorporates Javascript. I'm trying to do something similar to to the FireBug / Firefox Inspect Element featu



I came across http://www.selectorgadget.com/ which is exactly what I'm trying to do. It's in Javascript and after looking through the source code for the past 2 hours I still don't have a clue how to incorporate it into my program...

From what I can tell it uses tokenizing and recursive analysis of DOM elements to figure out CSS selector paths: http://www.selectorgadget.com/stable/lib/dom.js.

I'm reading a book on Javascript and I've been doing their tutorial on getting and setting cookies. Trouble is my code, and their supplied sample, don't work. It is supposed to display a very simple page with an image. When you click the image it is supposed to open up a new (very simple) page.

Hi and hope someone can help.

I'm setting up a fictitious shopping page which uses cookies to remember what a user has selected. The products are photographs that the user can select either framed or unframed versions and I'm trying to put a confirmation box if the user actually requests framed and unframed versions of the same photograph.

The code I'm using actually worked before I tried to add this extra functionality but I can't work out how to test for this extra bit.

Here's my code and it sets cookies with names as either lulworth01 for the unframed version or lulworth01f for the framed version. The bits that work are in black and my extra code for this test is in red.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm banging my head off a brick wall with setting up a 3 dimensional array and trying to loop through it. I'm using the EJS framework (http://embeddedjs.com/).

We currently have a 2D array set up to list out features. See below:

I have a superclass where I create a "div" element as a property and then proceed to try and set the element's "id" attribute in a subclass.

Interestingly, if I create multiple instances of the subclass with different "id"s, they all end up having the last "id" I specify. I would like it if they retain the individual "id" I specify.

I would like to enable / disable my field validation based upon the status of a given checkbox in my form but I am unsure about how to "unset" the varibles that control the validation. If the user clicks the checkbox, this displays the fields ant enables my validation just fine. But if the user then unckeck the box, the field is hidden but the validation remains enabled and the form cannot be submitted. Here is my code:
