JavaScript - Javascript Auto-date, Incorrect Input Into Db
I am using this script to automatically set the current date on a form... However, when I post the form, it is actually putting the Day +1 into the database (the year and month are correct). So for example if I set the date to June 8, 2011 on the form, it will post into the db as 2011-06-09. I am not sure whats going on...
Also, if the form has a missing input field (and the form reloads), the date resets back to the current date, instead of retaining the php-printed date values. In the head, I have: Code: In the form I have: Code:

 <option value="<?php print "$Month"; ?>"><?php print "$Month"; ?> <option value="<?php print "$Day"; ?>"><?php print "$Day"; ?> <option value="<?php print "$Year"; ?>"><?php print "$Year"; ?>

Similar TutorialsHi all, I use a javascript to generate a checkbox list. It works well but all the generated have the same id. I would like to find a way to auto-implement the id (with a unique id). So if my javascript generates 10 checkboxes, I will get id from 1 to 10 or something similar. Code: // here I build the filter checkboxes based on all the class names $.each(arrayUniqueClasses, function() { $('
 '+this+'
').appendTo('ul.filters'); }); so I tried something but it doesn't work at all (I'm a beginner as you can guess) : Code: var getUniqueId = (function () { var id=0; return function() { if (arguments[0]==0) id=0; return id++; } } )(); Thanks for helping here the full script if needed : Code: function unique(a) { tmp = new Array(0); for(i=0;i<a.length;i++){ if(!contains(tmp, a[i])){ tmp.length+=1; tmp[tmp.length-1]=a[i]; } } return tmp; } function contains(a, e) { for(j=0;j<a.length;j++)if(a[j]==e)return true; return false; } function removeItems(array, item) { var i = 0; while (i < array.length) { if (array[i] == item) { array.splice(i, 1); } else { i++; } } return array; } $(document).ready(function () { if ($('.filterThis > li').length < 2) { return; } var stringOfClassNames = ''; $('.filterThis > li').each( function (i) { var thisClassString = $(this).attr('class'); stringOfClassNames = stringOfClassNames +' '+ thisClassString }); stringOfClassNames = jQuery.trim(stringOfClassNames); var arrayClasses = stringOfClassNames.split(' '); var arrayClasses = arrayClasses.sort(); totalNumberOfItemsToFilter = $('.filterThis > li').length; var result = new Object(); for (var filterClass in arrayClasses) { if (result[arrayClasses[filterClass]] === undefined) { result[arrayClasses[filterClass]] = 1; } else { result[arrayClasses[filterClass]]++; } } var resultsToRemoveFromFilters = new Array(); for (var item in result) { if (result[item] == totalNumberOfItemsToFilter) { resultsToRemoveFromFilters.push(item); } } arrayUniqueClasses = (unique(arrayClasses)); if (arrayUniqueClasses.length > 1) { $('

').insertAfter('h3'); $.each(arrayUniqueClasses, function() { $('
'+this+'
').appendTo('ul.filters'); }); var classesStringOfSin = new Array(); classesStringOfSalvation = arrayUniqueClasses; $('.filterThis > li').addClass('filterTriggerShown'); $('.filters input').click( function() { var value= $(this).val(); stringValue = '.filterThis > li.'+value; if ($(this).is(':checked')) { classesStringOfSalvation.push(value); classesStringOfSin = removeItems(classesStringOfSin, value); $(stringValue).removeClass('filterTriggerHidden').addClass('filterTriggerShown').slideDown(); } else { classesStringOfSin.push(value); classesStringOfSalvation = removeItems(classesStringOfSalvation, value); $(stringValue).removeClass('filterTriggerShown').addClass('filterTriggerHidden'); $.each(classesStringOfSalvation, function() { var newStringValue = stringValue+'.'+this; $(newStringValue).removeClass('filterTriggerHidden').addClass('filterTriggerShown'); }); $('.filterTriggerHidden').slideUp(); } }); } }); Hey guys i have been fighting with this issue for some time so I figured i would join this forum and ask for some help for once. Here is what i am trying to accomplish. I have a drop down menu in place to select a month and a year for our owners to select and check their availability calendar. The issue is that i am tired of every month/year going into the code to change the preselected month/year setup less i hear screaming to high heaven from the owners that "The month isnt the current month" constantly. Here is the code i am currently using.
 Select Month January February March April May June July August September October November December

 Select year 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 All i am trying to accomplish is a code that will check the current month and year then preselect the value in the drop down automatically. This information is then fed to a .CGI script to pull data from our local server for their condo availability. Any ideas anyone? Hello, I don't know if this can be done in Javascript, or requires any other language but i was wondering if this would be possible. I would like to embed this Javascript code in to a PHP file and then for it to run automatically upon the PHP file loading: Code:
Share
The Javascirpt is the Facebook Share button that basically allows users that have Facebook to share the page there currently on in their Facebook status by pressing the button, but if there not logged in it shows the login page, not a problem just continue the script. The current button i which is what i want to load automatically in the PHP file is located here, to test the functionalilty just click "Share" button in blue.. http://watch-movies-online.anyfilman...-Movie-17.html To summarise, i would like the above Javascript code to execute automatically upon pageload of this PHP file.. http://www.watch-movies-online.anyfi...p://google.com. If that could be done, and if this also is possible.. i would like for the "Share" button on the external page that is loaded from the Javascript code above to be clicked automatically so in effect when ever someone visits the PHP page after clicking "Click Here to Watch/Stream 2012 Online For Free" on this page it will automatically load the Facebook Share box, and automatically click the "Share" Button and then close the page if possible, but not required. Please feel free to ask any questions, i'll be happy to answer. Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Jonathan. Does anyone know how to go about getting a function a bit like fckeditor / ckeditor where when you type a full URL into the 'link to' box it automatically removes the 'http://' part on the fly (i.e. as soon as another character after the initial 'http://' is typed), just leaving the user with www.etc.... in the input? I am trying to build something similar, and am a bit lost going through the fckeditor code! Thanks, Neil Hi all, I am trying to find out if it's possible to auto populate a text input based on the value of another. e.g. there is an input called name.. the user completes this and enters something like John, then in the same form there is another input called username. Once the person enters John in the name field, the username automatically displays John. I'm not sure how doable this is, I'm not very familar with Javascript, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Greens85 What I am looking to do is auto-populate a number of forms based on what a user chooses as a starting date. For example: If a user enters 12/12/2009 I want the other fields to automatically populate with the next 2 weeks (12/13/2009, 12/14/2009, 12/15/2009 etc.) Anyone have a useful script that I can use given that these fields are formatted as dates? The idea is to save time by only having to fill in the first date in the timesheet. Hi.. I have forms and I only need to input is the Demanded Qty, and from Demanded Qty that I input it will compute the demanded qty for each Item Code. Now my problem is I don't know on how can it possible that while i input the quantity it will also autodisplay the demanded qty for each materials. Noted: the Demanded Qty that will auto display is display only on the Demanded Qty you input per Items. For Example: On Item = P28 i input demanded qty, only on the ItemCode will display the output. and when i input on P30 the computation will display on the ItemCode for P30. here is my code: PHP Code: <?php error_reporting(0); date_default_timezone_set("Asia/Singapore"); //set the time zone $con = mysql_connect('localhost', 'root',''); if (!$con) { echo 'failed'; die(); } mysql_select_db("mes", $con); ?>

Stock Requisition

<form name="stock_requisition" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="post">

Items

Sub Items

Item Code

Demanded Qty

UoM

Class

Description

BIN Location

<?php $DemandedQty = $_POST['DemandedQty']; $sql = "SELECT DISTINCT Items FROM bom_subitems ORDER BY Items"; $res_bom = mysql_query($sql, $con); while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($res_bom)){ $Items = $row['Items']; $Items_ = substr($Items, 12, 3); echo "

"; $sql = "SELECT Items, SubItems, ItemCode, UoM, Class, Description, BINLocation, Quantity FROM bom_subitems WHERE Items = '$Items' ORDER BY Items"or die(mysql_error()); $res_sub = mysql_query($sql, $con); while($row_sub = mysql_fetch_assoc($res_sub)){ $Items1 = $row_sub['Items']; $SubItems = $row_sub['SubItems']; $ItemCode = $row_sub['ItemCode']; $UoM = $row_sub['UoM']; $Class = $row_sub['Class']; $Description = $row_sub['Description']; $BINLocation = $row_sub['BINLocation']; $Quantity = $row_sub['Quantity']; echo ""; echo "

"; } } ?>

Thank you so much Not sure if this is possible in javascript: I'm looking for two different dates (bill date and due date) on an invoice that are captured by OCR. If one of them exists, but the other does not, I want the empty field to be 14 days before (or after) the other. For example: if the bill date is 7/27/2010 and the due date was not captured, I want to set the due date as 8/10/2010 (14 days after the bill date). If the due date was captured as 8/10/2010, but the due date is blank, I want to assign the bill date as 7/27/2010 (14 days before the due date). if both dates have values, do nothing. Thanks. Thanks in advance Hi, I have the below code (in a smarty .tpl file), but would like to automate it with data from MySQL DB and PHP So for example if I was to add another gift_id radio box etc.. in MySQL it would add on to the end extending the if statement to make sure a radio box has been picked. if ((form.gift_id[0].checked == false) && (form.gift_id[1].checked == false) && (form.gift_id[2].checked == false)) { ErrorCount++; But the problem is I am not sure how to do this, any ideas? Thanks. ps. sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, wasn't sure where to put it Hey guys. I need a Javascript that clicks on particular co-ordinates on page load. I'll even make do with a script that clicks on a random co-ordinate on page load. Just a simple click has to be made automatically on page load on the page. I tried using and editing this code: Code:

Search Engine

but its of no use because I want it to click on another javascript, thats another Code: I want a click to be made on this script somehow. I can add Code: window.setTimeout('clickit()',5000); function clickit(){ location.href = document.getElementById("autoid"); myself which will delay it so the click occurs after page load but I just want a click to happen on top of that javascript. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers! hey all- i have been thinking about how i wanted to tackle this for a while now, and it is now "down to the wire"... so in my page i have two nav bars, one for js enabled and one for js disabled... they are styled accordingly (the js disabled is display:inherit; and the js enabled is display:none now i may need to tweak those styles after i get the script working, but that i can toy with after i get this working... anyways- my pages get the navbar inherited from a master page- so my thought was (to prevent loops) make a nav bar that had all js disabled links and a navbar that had all js enabled... then in my code i put in this script Code: now i am not amazing with js but i figured this would work... i get an error thrown every time though Quote: Microsoft JScript runtime error: Unable to get value of the property 'style': object is null or undefined now i assume (i am watching in debug) that this is because it is hitting the script before the rest of the page writes... but if i move the script below then the script never fires... ? here are the two nav bar ID's Note: i encapsulated the menus in
s and targeted the divs to ensure that there were no conflictions with my asp Code:
.........
Hi, i need a javascript for my website. what i wanna do is that when smone loads my website, the script initiate the left mouse click automatically. that is on page load mouse click is stimulated. dnt know if its possible or not. need help. Thanx in advance Hello All, I have a form where the number of input fields (lets call them B through N) is determined by the length of a php array. Above those input fields is another field (lets call this field input A) that I would like to be auto populated based on what the user enters in fields B through N. Here is my code. The first table (with all of the "totals" fields) holds all of the input fields that I would like to auto update. These fields should auto update so that every input in EACH of the "fy" fields in the second table is added together. Example: every input in the id="fy_{$fy.fy}_high_impact_cost" field should be added together as the user enters them, and the id="totals_high_impact_cost" field should be auto updated with that total. Old forum thread related to this topic: http://www.codingforums.com/showthre...8#post12243889 Here is my code, based on the latest Philip M's work : Code:

Weekend Cup 2012

My event takes place at 8pm on fridays. To see if this script works in all conditions, I change my system date and time (to see if the script displays the good remaining duration). TESTS: Friday - So I set my system date on friday but at different times. When I do that, everything seems to work fine. - If I chose an earlier time (11am for example), it's fine too. - If I chose 7:59:45 pm (and wait a few seconds) I can see the countdown resetting and displaying 6 days 23 hours 59 min 59 sec. So it's fine too. Saturday - But if I chose saturday 00:00:01 am it doesn't work. It displays 0:19:59:59 (as if the event occured the same day, saturday). - And if I chose saturday 7:59:45 pm, the counter resets and displays 6 days 23 hours 59 min 59 sec.. Which is also wrong because it would mean that the even occurs on saturdays 8pm. Sunday - Same for sunday (the same errors like saturdays) Btw, could it be possible to display on the HTML page, all variable values ? This could help me understand how the script is done. (I am a poor coder). Thank you very much. |
