JavaScript - Javascript Code/ Copy To Clipboard Problem.

I have a small snippet of code which will copy the contents of a textbox to the clipboard when a small image, say a button, is clicked.

I want to achieve a similar effect when I click a hotspot on an image, but in this case the text will have to come from...well, I don't know. Maybe the title in an area tag?

This is what I have so far for a textbox:

I have been to this forum many times as a lurker and I have picked up some good information. For this I give Thanks wholeheartedly.

My situation: I enter information in a system based on the # of a report that comes in. So if I see a report that says "333" i want to enter specific information for "333" same with "444" and "555" and so on and so forth.

So I want to have a drop down menu for 111, 222, 333, 444 etc...


Basically what I need is, if I select the report # from the drop down menu, I want it to copy information from a HIDDEN textbox to the clipboard. That's it!

I've been trying to figure it out, but to no avail. Sorry I am fake coder

I have a textarea where user can select a text then copy to clipboard (using EditArea script for highlighting)
I need append additional information to the selected text so it won't be visible in the textarea, but only appear after copied to clipboard.
For example:

user selected word "two", hit CTRL+C to copy into clipboard (or used browser's context menu), but in clipboard it should be saved as: "selected word 'two'"

What would be the approach?

I am wondering, is there any method that can copy a file(.pdf) from server and paste it in the local drive while the file(.pdf) in the local drive is reading by users ?

P/S : In Windows, the users are not allow to edit or replace the file if it's being read.

Requirements : The users must read the file in local drive after copy from the server.

2 methods been tried :

1. I tried the method which make the javascript to close the browser(IE) first, then copy and replace the file but after the browser is close, everything stopped.

2. Then, I also tried to reopen the file from server first, then only I copy the file from server and replace the local file again but the problem exists again. Even though the local file is closed and file from server is open, the system just doesn't allow me to copy and replace the local file. Why ?

Can anyone give me some suggestion or advice please ? Really need help on this issue.

Hello to everyone, . Im a new user and i have a question.
Here is a code from a WebPage, in the page there is a button that called "Check Flaps" when i click it is need to run a javascript code and show me the results on the same window, but it not worked.

I am just beginning to learn javascript, and I am trying to create a little game where when a user hovers over a picture it changes, and things like that.

At the moment I have been trying to make it so that the pictures tile so they fill the whole page area, dynamically so that it changes depending on the users browser size (px). The images have many attributes so I can't just tile them with css as they need to be actual elements.

The problem is the code doesn't run, and I can't work out why. I think all the lines that require it have semi colons and its all correct.

The 2d php array is $quest[100][6] and the 2d javascript array is questions[100][6] . I have written the javascript code inside the <?php....?> itself using echo "<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">.......</script>;




Now ,inside the javascript,when I try to copy the 2d php array to the 2d javascript array using the following method it works

I'm sure someone can help me with this simple fix. I am putting a site together for a friend and I found a Javascript code that I'm using which basically causes an image to enlarge on mouse rollover.

The website, which I just started, is: Home 2

What I'm trying to do is get the larger image to appear a little more to the right than it currently does, so it is not right on top of the thumbnails.

I hope someone can tell me what code (and where) I need to add to accomplish this. I'm quite new at this so I really need specific instruction.
