In IE8, FF& Chrome, the site works perfectly. But in IE7, the site slows down very much that even the link hover effect doesn't show properly. I believe its some kind of javascript or Ajax request which is causing such delay. Can you guys please help me sort this out.... Here is the site with functionality... http://tinyurl.com/3qkunvy Here is the site without functionality but just the gallery is integrated... http://tinyurl.com/439ejhk The speed was even better before the Ajax is applied for contents. Any solutions/fixes please... I'l not good in Javascript and I can't find anything about what I want.. . On a sports website there is a table with our ranking and results. On this site the content is changed weekly, but it stays in the same tables.. . Is it possible to make a javascript to get those tables and put them on my own website so the content will change on my site when the content is changed on the sports site? Please help me, it would save me lot of time.. . THx I'm usually pretty good with finding codes on my own, but it's been a while and I'm pretty stumped. I am currently working on a new site, and making a new layout. So on Photoshop, I laid out how I want it to work: This is how it will look: Each section of the header, like each color/shape, will be a separate imagemap. When it is hovered upon, An arrow will move out of the color/shape, and then whatever the link will lead to will appear at the end: And when the arrow is taken off of it, it will retract back to the color/shape, not just disappear. And here's a picture of all the arrows out: Is this possible? And is it possible that the bar&arrow that come out to also be clickable? And the text at the end to be clickable text and not just an image? Any tutorials/website links are welcome, I can usually follow them pretty well. Sorry to bombard you, I just figured I'd ask everything I wanted to in one thread. I'm sorry I don't have code for this one. I'm making a fansite for a game called RuneScape and I'm a bit stuck on this part. What I need for my website is, a page that will have the prices (min, middle, and max) of things from this or other items, which will be chosen later on. Here are two example sites that I am wanting to ... do the same thing as them. First Example Second Example I'd really appreciate any information you guys are willing to give. Thanks. I want to design a web page which allows a user to input a file which contains a list of addresses. Then send these addresses to Google Maps API for geocoding and returned XY coordinates will be saved in a file and downloaded to the PC. Can this be done completely in Javascript(client side handling) or the input addresses need to be sent to a server and let the server talk to Google Maps API to complete geocoding and then send back the coordinates data to the browser(sever side handling). Please help!
So I have this client who has a web form, the form was not made by me, I am debugging it as it has error's it seems. He has had 3 clients in the past two days complain they cannot finish the form, when they get to step 2 and click the button to go from step 2 to 3 they get this error: Quote: Type Error: Unable to get value of the property (error): Object is null and undefined. Now to me that looks to be JS, but there is no way at all to replicate it! I have tried this same procedure in IE6(XP), IE8(XP), Chrome, FF and it never happens to me ever. I am pretty sure it's JS related since the form is never reloaded for each page, it's a JS tab paging system for each step. Now he did finally get answer's from two of the 3 that had problems. They only said they were using IE on Windows Vista. And user's are not the most techie so I have been trying for two days to get info from them and nothing, info like IE version and what toolbar's and plugins they might have installed. Nothing. So I am left here at this point. Does anyone know of anything related in Vista? I don't have Vista so I cannot test this. I am testing right now on 7 with IE8 and then upgrading it to IE9 to test on 7 with IE9. The site is he https://optimalmedicalstaffing.com/register.php It's on step two, you get to step 2 by finishing step 1 and clicking on "Complete Application" to go to step 2. It's when clicking on the button to continue from step 2 to 3 that it happens. As I said I cannot seem to duplicate this in any way. I was hoping someone had Vista and IE to test for me, since your a coder you can screenshot for me the error and what happens, maybe that will help ha ha Or maybe this has happened to someone before, the form seems to be using Dojo as it's FW. Thanks. I'm trying to create an online auction site, most of the pages are complete. I decided to start working on the functionality for the bidding page and did a rough sketch of what would be taking place on this page. Sadly I am a total newbie to JS and I have no idea how to accomplish what I wish to get done. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's my logic thus far (this would all occur when a user clicks on the 'Bid' button' : next_bid = current_bid + bid_increment If bid_amt < next_bid Error msg "Your bid MUST be greater than or equal to the next bid amount " + next_bid " ." Else { Msg "Are you sure you want to bid " + bid_amt " ?" If selected = YES If current_time > end_time auct_status = Closed Update tbl_auction {auction_status} Msg "Sorry, this auction is closed." Else current_bid = bid_amt bid_time = current time Insert into tbl_bid {bid_amt, bid_time, bid_date, username} Update auction {current_bid} Msg "Bid successful" End If End If End If NB. I am using Mysql for my database and my pages are all php. Can any one please tell me a way to get all the links in a web page using javascript?
http://www.silverbackmusic.net/home Please skip the intro. I'm talking about the navigation of this site. The way there is one huge background and clicking on each page moves the background to a certain part. Is there a way I can pull this off using some form of javascript? I have been working on this for four hours and none of the methods online have worked. Every site has outdated screenshots and I have nowhere else to turn. There's supposedly just a couple of lines of code and "3 easy steps" to allow me to have a Facebook comment box on any page of my site. I DO NOT use Wordpress or any blogging software / sites. I am working from scratch in Dreamweaver. What am I missing?
