JavaScript - How Do I Make A Different Ad Come Up When Someone Refreshes The Page?
You know how google has different ads everytime you go to a page? Well i want to do the same thing. I got two banners and i want one to change to the other banner when someone refreshes the page.

I pass this to my javascript and then am trying to setup a 1 second loop where it checks against the clock to see if it's time to begin the reminders. Any help is greatly appreciated. Brian I'm poking in the blind with javascript and hope that you can help with this issue. A javascript function is making a call to an external php file, which checks the compares the current time with a time stored in a mysql database. If a certain time passes, the php will send back instructions to redirect the user to a different page. The issue is that the page refreshes every time the is javascript function is executed. Is there a way to achieve the goal of checking the time against the server time (via the php code) without refreshing the page? Thanks kindly! Sorry for the title- i'm doing my best to describe my problem. So this is basically it: I have some javascript onmouseover events that change the content of an iframe. The problem is that within the javascript calls, I have some url's attached to rollover buttons INSIDE the parent div's that are being manipulated by javascript. So the iframe refreshes properly when its supposed to, but it ALSO refreshes as each of the links inside the effected div are rolled over as well. So there is too much extra refreshing and lots of clicking noises because of the Internet Explorer default noise settings. The prob is that the div's named turquoise1 and coral1 are being effected by the javascript on the containing div. How do i make it unaffected by that js? Is there something like a "onmouseover=do nothing" or something of the sort? I have a single webpage that contains information on all 50 U.S. states. There are 50 links at the top to jump down to the state you want, and at the bottom of the information for each state a Back to Top link. I'm making the Back to Top link into something more complex, and it will require three or four lines of code. So that I don't have to repeat the code 50 times, and create a burden when I need to edit it, I want to place it in a .js file and call it x. Hi. I am new here. I wanted help for a JavaScript code. You might think I'm lazy for not writing it myself, but the truth is I am not a JavaScript coder. I just have a really simple website and I am trying to do something for which I know JS is required but I don't know how to do it. I've also searched around but couldn't find the appropriate code. What I want to do is to make an html page load a different background image every time it refreshes. Hello, I'm learning javascript, and was wondering if it was Possible to have buttons/links that you click, the whole page fades out, and then fade's in, with different stuff. here are my ideas for just changing the stuff Text: 1. having a javascript src file to start, and then when the button is clicked, that is formatted to white, the text layer is moved down, and a new javascript file is loaded? 2.variables? any help would be appreciated! I've got a sticky footer at the bottom of the page and a spry collapsible panel which expands to reveal content on mouse over. The problem I'm facing is that the page doesn't scroll down with it, only the scroll bar gets larger to accommodate for a manual scroll down. This is kind of useless because the user might not even realise that there's extra content there in the first place if it's not automatic. When the page first loads it shows the above long format target time, until the js/meta tags kick in to modify it to just show the actual countdown as 00:00:00.
