JavaScript - Mp3 Button Script Graphics Randomly Appearing/disappearing
http://vietnamthereandback.com/mainpage.html
The arrows next to the songs previews are randomly appearing/disappearing on page refresh. There are always 8 arrows, but each refresh shows the arrows in different places. This has really got me stumped. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd really appreciate hearing them. The basic button/arrow code is below. The only thing that changes in the MP3 file name. <code> <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=10,0,0,0" width="30" height="30"> <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="http://www.vietnamthereandback.com/Clips/audioplay.swf?file=http://www.vietnamthereandback.com/Clips/reflections.mp3&auto=no&sendstop=yes&repeat=1&buttondir=http://www.vietnamthereandback.com/Clips/buttons/negative_small&bgcolor=0xffffff&mode=playpause"> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high> <PARAM NAME=wmode VALUE=transparent> <embed src="http://www.vietnamthereandback.com/Clips/audioplay.swf?file=http://www.vietnamthereandback.com/Clips/reflections.mp3&auto=no&sendstop=yes&repeat=1&buttondir=http://www.vietnamthereandback.com/Clips/buttons/negative_small&bgcolor=0xffffff&mode=playpause" quality=high wmode=transparent width="30" height="30" align="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed></object> </code> Similar TutorialsHello, I am trying to have my print button appear only once the script for my validation button has gone through without any errors. To do this, I used the following script in my validation button (I've truncated most of it since you get the point after two lines): // hidden field var lrcf = this.getField("LastRCFalse"); var ei = this.getField("Employee ID number"); if ( lrcf.value != ""){ var tempname = lrcf.value; if (tempname == "Employee ID number") {ei.setFocus();}} else { var ei = this.getField("Employee ID number"); if (ei.value != "" && (ei.value == "0000000" || ei.value < 1259)){ app.alert("Employee ID number, if entered, must be between 0001259 and 0999999") ei.setFocus();} else { var city = this.getField("Effective date"); if (city.value == ""){ app.alert("Please enter Effective date") city.setFocus();} else { var gmf = this.getField("Gender"); if (gmf.value != "M" && gmf.value != "F" ){ app.alert("Please select gender of employee") gmf.setFocus();} else { // Making fields visible for printing VisibleToPrint(); app.alert("Your form is ready to print. Please press the PRINT button on this form.",3) The red part is where it all seems to be breaking apart. I've verified that none of the script before is incorrect and it all goes smoothly except that my print button does not appear afterwards. (The print button doesn't have any complicated script just a "execute a menu item" and is put as hidden in common properties so that no one can print before having gone through the verification). Should I have created another print button which sits on top of the other one? I am really new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Basically, I want to make it so there is a button, and when you click it, it plays a random song from a list of songs that would be in the code. I am not completely sure if this is possible or not. I know how to make the button, that is simple. Sorry if this is actually easy, I am just learning how to script. This is my last resort. I do not javascript - I have the code Google sent me on http://www.countyfairgrounds.net - and I have 3600 other pages I would like it on - but for the life of me - I cannot figure out why it does not work. Lately I have tried to make it work on http://www.countyfairgrounds.net/ads.html - I have tried the Google forums. Does anyone here speak Google +1 code? I surely would appreciate it
hey guys i have graphic on the right side of the screen that is not in view and i am scrolling it to the left. Is there away to remove the bottom scrollbar permanently through using a mask or something. if i have an item scrolling from the left the scroll bar does not show, but on the right it does. an help be appreciated. I am looking to create a Stylesheet for YouTube, to make it look nicer and customise it completely I wanted to change the logo, but its a graphic. I was wondering if it would be possible to do this by linking to one hosted on Flickr? Or is there another trick? Folks, I have been in IT for many years, but completely new to javascripting and ajax etc. I develop web sites and the php, html coding etc is no issue, its just that I have never needed to do any javascript coding and therefore have not used it at all. Picking it up should present little problem, but as of this moment, I am a complete tyro, and I need to get moving on this requirement ASAP. I have a requirement which I haver never before needed to address. I would be grateful for some pointers to resources (I have searched and searched..... ) which I could use to develop the functionality I need. After that rambling intro, here is the actual issue..... I need to have a variety of areas on a single picture on the website, each of which if clicked on, will go to a different article. Rather than try to explain, here is a link which does a similar thing, although this one is in Flash (which I also don't know): http://www.comcare.gov.au/virtual_wo...fice/reception I need to do pretty much the same thing, though with a different picture and words of course. The website will be a Joomla based site. I hope I have gived enough information, and indeed, hope that I have posted to the right area! Any assistance or thoughts at all would be greatly appreciated. regards to all, Mike I wanted to make it so that a button on the webpage validates a word that a user types into a prompt box that pops up when they open the webpage. For example, user goes on website, prompt box opens, user types in word then presses OK. On the webpage he clicks the button, which calls a while function to check if the word has a P at the start, a J somewhere in it, and is longer than 8 characters. Code: <script type="text/javascript"> var strWord; function validateWord() { while(strWord == document.formname.validateWord.value.length > 8 && var iChars = "JP";) { "alert(Correct)" value="Word Alert"> } } </SCRIPT> I've been trying this script but with no luck and cant tell whats wrong with it. Any ideas? Hello, I've been working on creating a script that zooms the entire webpage. Other than using "CTRL" + "+" keys (generally compatible with all browsers) to zoom in inside a web browser, I want to put it in a different format, as a button; it would be even easier to use. The problem is that I can't figure out how to make it work/ why it does not work. The following is my code: Code: <html> <head> <script type = "text/javascript"> document.onkeydown = function(zoomin) { var key; zoomin = zoomin || event; key = zoomin.keyCode; key == 43; return false; if (key == 17) { return true; function(zoomin){; return false; } } }</script> </head> <body> <h1>Is this appearing to get bigger?</h1> <button onclick="javascript: function('zoomin');">Zoom in</button> </body> </html> Basically I was trying to use a DEC code as the code for the "CTRL" and "+" keys; then put them into a function. The "return true" under the IF statement means that I want it to hold so that the "+" key can be read as part of the script, and therefore make the page zoom in. Once that happens, it returns false. I would appreciate any help/ suggestions. I will also try to look for a way to reset the page (100%) or zoom out as well. Hi Guys, I was wondering if I could have some help. Its coding for the left side of a frame set to display in the right side. Im pulling my hair out! Thanks Code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function go() { var go="none"; if (document.buttons.option[0].checked) go=button.option[0].value; if (document.buttons.option[1].checked) go=buttons.option[1].value; if (document.buttons.option[2].checked) go=buttons.option[2].value; parent.rightframe.location=go; } </script> </head> <body> <form name="buttons" id="buttons"> <input type="radio" name="option" value="cit.html" checked="checked">CIT</input> <br /> <input type="radio" name="option" value="currency.html">Currency</input> <br /> <input type="radio" name="option" value="staffsurvey.html">Staff Survey</input> <br /> <input type="radio" name="option" value="game.html">Game</input> <br /> <input type="button" value="Go" onClick="go();"</input> </form> </body> </html> I am a new to js and GM but I am trying to make a script that will click a button on a page where there are multiple instances of the button. The source I am looking at is below and I have narrowed down what I am looking at to the bold section. <dl> <dd class="left"><div id='recommendstatus_article4458331'> <dl class="recommend"> <dt class='recs'><a href="javascript://" onclick="RecSpy( 'article', '4458331', 'tippers' ); return false;">50</a> </dt> <dd><a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="RecommendItem(1,'article','4458331','1','recommendstatus_article4458331' ); return false;" onmouseover="return overlib('Give thumbs up', WRAP);" onmouseout="return nd();"> <img class='icon' title='' alt='Thumb up' style='background-position: -304px -48px;' src='http://geekdo-images.com/images/pixel.gif' /></a></dd> <dt class='tippers'><a href="javascript://" style='color: #969600;' onclick="RecSpy( 'article', '4458331', 'tippers' ); return false;"></a></dt> <dd><a href="javascript:void(0);" onmouseover = "return overlib( 'GeekGold Tip', WRAP );" onmouseout = "nd();" onClick="GeekGoldTip(0,'article','4458331','recommendstatus_article4458331'); return false;"> <img class='icon' title='' alt='tip' style='background-position: -368px -48px;' src='http://geekdo-images.com/images/pixel.gif' /></a></dd> <dd> <a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="RecommendItem(0,'article','4458331','','recommendstatus_article4458331', 'article4458331' ); return false;" onmouseover="return overlib('Hide this post', WRAP);" onmouseout="return nd();"> <img class='icon' title='' alt='Thumb up' style='background-position: -336px -48px;' src='http://geekdo-images.com/images/pixel.gif' /></a> </dd> <dt class='thumbsdown'> </dt> </dl> How do I create a script to find each instance of the button and click it? I have the following code: Quote: <form id="registration" action="/cgi-bin/registration.cgi" method="POST" onsubmit="return control()"> <fieldset> <legend>Fill up this module</legend> Private <input id="private" type="radio" name="type" value="private" onclick="return addPrivate()"/><br/> Community/Organization <input id="organization" type="radio" name="type" onclick="alert('Organization')"/><br/> <br/> and the following script: Quote: addPrivate() { alert('Private'); } but alert windows doesn't not appear. Where is the problem? Hi Everyone, I want to execute a script when the user clicks the button. Currently in my html doc. i have the button declared. <input type="button" id ="button" onclick='notEmpty() value="Play"/> When the button is clicked, i execute the notEmpty() function and I want to execute a script inside the notEmpty(). How can i do this? Thanks, Praveen As it is, I'm using Walter Zorn's JS Graphics Library in an attempt to write a small screensaver-type-thing for jailbroken iPhones/iPod touches. However, on my mom's AMD Athlon 64 3000+, the drawing gets pretty laggy, so you can imagine how utterly choppy it is on my iPod. The look I'm going for is the Windows XP Mystify screen saver, with corners bouncing around the screen. So, my first question is this: are there any alternatives for this sort of thing, short of manually generating a video, gif, or multiple images to switch through, or is there any way to make my code more efficient for the CPU? (Code below) NOTE: I know I could make it look a lot nicer by making a 'corner' class, and having each corner be an object (and even nicer by using an array of 'corners'). But I'm not sure that would help the CPU's calculations much, and make the code more efficient as a whole. Code: <div id="Mystify"> <script type="text/javascript"> var mystifyCanvas = new jsGraphics("Mystify"); var tetraCorner1x = Math.floor(Math.random()*300) + 5; var tetraCorner1y = Math.floor(Math.random()*460) + 5; var tetraCorner2x = Math.floor(Math.random()*300) + 5; var tetraCorner2y = Math.floor(Math.random()*460) + 5; var tetraCorner3x = Math.floor(Math.random()*300) + 5; var tetraCorner3y = Math.floor(Math.random()*460) + 5; var tetraCorner4x = Math.floor(Math.random()*300) + 5; var tetraCorner4y = Math.floor(Math.random()*460) + 5; go1x = true; go1y = false; go2x = true; go2y = true; go3x = false; go3y = true; go4x = false; go4y = false; function MystifyJavaScript() { mystifyCanvas.clear(); mystifyCanvas.setColor("#ff0000"); mystifyCanvas.setStroke(2); if (go1x) { tetraCorner1x++; if (tetraCorner1x > 315) { go1x = false } } else { tetraCorner1x--; if (tetraCorner1x < 5) { go1x = true } } if (go1y) { tetraCorner1y++; if (tetraCorner1y > 475) { go1y = false } } else { tetraCorner1y--; if (tetraCorner1y < 5) { go1y = true } } if (go2x) { tetraCorner2x++; if (tetraCorner2x > 315) { go2x = false } } else { tetraCorner2x--; if (tetraCorner2x < 5) { go2x = true } } if (go2y) { tetraCorner2y++; if (tetraCorner2y > 475) { go2y = false } } else { tetraCorner2y--; if (tetraCorner2y < 5) { go2y = true } } if (go3x) { tetraCorner3x++; if (tetraCorner3x > 315) { go3x = false } } else { tetraCorner3x--; if (tetraCorner3x < 5) { go3x = true } } if (go3y) { tetraCorner3y++; if (tetraCorner3y > 475) { go3y = false } } else { tetraCorner3y--; if (tetraCorner3y < 5) { go3y = true } } if (go4x) { tetraCorner4x++; if (tetraCorner4x > 315) { go4x = false } } else { tetraCorner4x--; if (tetraCorner4x < 5) { go4x = true } } if (go4y) { tetraCorner4y++; if (tetraCorner4y > 475) { go4y = false } } else { tetraCorner4y--; if (tetraCorner4y < 5) { go4y = true } } mystifyCanvas.drawLine(tetraCorner1x, tetraCorner1y, tetraCorner2x, tetraCorner2y); mystifyCanvas.drawLine(tetraCorner2x, tetraCorner2y, tetraCorner3x, tetraCorner3y); mystifyCanvas.drawLine(tetraCorner3x, tetraCorner3y, tetraCorner4x, tetraCorner4y); mystifyCanvas.drawLine(tetraCorner4x, tetraCorner4y, tetraCorner1x, tetraCorner1y); mystifyCanvas.paint(); window.setTimeout("MystifyJavaScript()", 10); } MystifyJavaScript(); </script> </div> Please keep in mind, there's a LOT of repeat code, so you only have to read any one part once. To test/see/use the code, you'll need to download wz_graphics.zip. Then download the attached txt file to the same directory as the unzipped wz_graphics, change it to .html instead of .txt, and open it. Hi all, I would like to have an HTML button which, when clicked by the user, contacts the server and runs a Python script on the server. When the Python script finishes running, the current HTML page automatically reloads a file from the server. Is that possible? YJ Alright so for a school assignment I need to create a button with the name of the color it is going to turn the background to. the assignment says nothing about naming the buttons the hex numbers for the color therefo I was curious if someone could show me how to create a button in java script that would generate a random hex number for a color ie: #+()+()+()+()+()+() and the text shown on the button would be the same as the hex number generated. feed back please I am new to javascript and am trying to make a script that would open a link every xx randomly seconds. So far I have come up with this after searching: Code: <script> function reloadMe() { window.location.reload(); } function getInterval(){ var lowerBound = 30; var upperBound = 60; var randNum = Math.floor((upperBound-lowerBound+1)*Math.random()+lowerBound) * 1000; return randNum; } var interval = getInterval(); var srcInterval = setInterval("reloadMe()",interval); </script> This works on refreashing a page every xx seconds between 30 and 60 seconds. But it does not open a link. Is it possible to make a script that opens a link every xx seconds at random. It would be even greater if it can exclude certian times of the day, or can that be done with a cron job? Hello geniuses. I really need your help and didn't know who else to turn to. Using JavaScript, I require a code that allows me to play .wav sound files randomly and automatically on page start-up, I also need them to loop as they are drum beats. The plan: to load my web page and hear a random drum beat that loops continuously. I need it to be compatible with most, if not all Internet browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera are crucial) and to state what sound file is playing on the page (allowing me to identify the looping drum beat/sound file), and if possible to provide a link to the actual sound file for download. I've tried endlessly trying to find code to build upon but have failed miserably, I would appreciate any code submissions as it would help me out massively. It's a lot to ask I know, but it would be so very appreciated. My knowledge with JavaScript is sadly minimal. I've also got a quick question, how would I prevent Google Chrome from putting a pause after each sound loop? Of course, being drum beats; I require it to loop in sync and it appears only Google Chrome puts a 1 second period after each play. Please help, I am so stuck. Anyway guys, thanks for reading!
