JavaScript - Once Clicked - Change Button Image And Link To Display In Iframe
Hi guys,
I've been breaking my brains for few hours, I already searched online and I found nothing so far. What I wanna do.... I have 5 different images linked to 5 different websites. Once the image is clicked, the first link will be displayed in an iframe, and the image will change to the second one. Once we click on the second image, the second link will be displayed using the same iframe, and so on. The code changes the images, but I dunno how to deal with the link to the websites. This is the code: Code: <html> <head> <title>Testing...</title> </head> <script type="text/javascript"> imgs=Array("1.png","2.png","3.png","4.png","5.png"); links=Array("www.vbct.ca","www.cnn.com","www.castanet.net","www.yahoo.com","www.cubaweb.cu"); var x=0; function change() { document.getElementById("changes").src=imgs[++x]; if (x==4) { x=-1; } } if (!imgs[x+1]) { x=-1; } </script> <body> <div> <iframe src="http://www.vbct.ca" style="border: 0; position:relative; top:0; left:0; right:0; bottom:0; width:100%; height:400px;" name="page" width="100%"></iframe> </div> <br /><br /> <div> <a href="#" target="page"><img src="1.png" id="changes" alt="alttext" onmousedown="change()" style="cursor: pointer;" /></a> </div> </body> </html> And this is the link to the test page: http://www.virtualbc.ca/sites/test/ Similar TutorialsI have three divs, Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. I'm trying to get it so when a person clicks the Facebook Like, the style changes to none and Step 2 is revealed and when the Facebook Share is clicked, the Step 3 is revealed. But when I like the first thing, it doesn't change to Step 2. Any thoughts? Code: <div id="Step1"><table border="0" width="630" height="174" background="images/step1-2.jpg"><tr><td valign="top" align="left" style="padding-left: 215px; padding-top: 80px"><br /> <iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=LINKHERE&layout=standard&show_faces=false&width=450&action=like&font=arial&colorscheme=light&height=35" scrolling="no" action="like" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:35px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe> <br /> </tr></td></table></div><div id="Step2" ><table border="0" style="display: none" width="630" height="174" background="images/step2-2.jpg"><tr><td valign="top" align="left" style="padding-left: 210px; padding-top: 82px"><br /> <a name="fb_share" type="button" share_url="LINKHERE"></a> <script src="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share" type="text/javascript"> </script> <br /> </tr></td></table></div><div id="Step3" style="display: none"><table border="0" width="630" height="174" background="images/step3-2.jpg"><tr><td valign="top" align="left" style="padding-left: 210px; padding-top: 72px"><br /> <center><a href="LINKHERE">Download Here</a> </center></tr></td></table></div><br /> <script type="text/javascript"> window.fbAsyncInit = function() { FB.init({appId: 'ID HERE', status: true, cookie: true, xfbml: true}); FB.Event.subscribe('edge.create', function() { document.getElementById('Step1').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('Step2').style.display = 'block'; document.getElementById('Step3').style.display = 'none'; setTimeout('document.getElementById(\'Step1\').style.display = \'none\';document.getElementById(\'Step2\').style.display = \'none\';document.getElementById(\'Step3\').style.display = \'block\';', 7000); }); }; (function() { var e = document.createElement("script"); e.type = 'text/javascript'; e.src = document.location.protocol + "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js"; e.async = true; document.getElementById("fb-root").appendChild(e); }()); </script> Hey all, Hoping someone could help me out with some javascript coding as I am a complete novice to this! I am currently building a website using 1 static page and all the content will be pulled in through different iframes by clicking on a navigation on the page. I found a very handy piece of javascript coding that lets me remove a class from one link and move it to the link that was clicked on (the code will be below). The issue I am facing with this is that if I have Home set to class="On" to begin with and then click on Location, the background image will be added to the Location section but won't get removed from Home until it is physically clicked on. Can anyone help me out with how I can get this to work correctly? javascript: Code: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> var Lst; function CngClass(obj){ if (typeof(obj)=='string') obj=document.getElementById(obj); if (Lst) Lst.className=''; obj.className='On'; Lst=obj; } </script> HTML: Code: <div id="navWrapper"> <div id="globalNav"> <ul> <li onclick="CngClass(this);" class="On"><a href="iframes/home.html" target="content_iframe">Home</a></li> <li onclick="CngClass(this);" class=""><a href="iframes/location.html" target="content_iframe">Location</a></li> <li onclick="CngClass(this);" class=""><a href="iframes/speakers.html" target="content_iframe">Speakers</a></li> <li onclick="CngClass(this);" class=""><a href="iframes/agenda.html" target="content_iframe">Agenda</a></li> <li onclick="CngClass(this);" class=""><a href="iframes/useful_material.html" target="content_iframe">Useful Material</a></li> <li onclick="CngClass(this);" class=""><a href="iframes/event_presentations.html" target="content_iframe">Event Presentations</a></li> <li onclick="CngClass(this);" class=""><a href="iframes/gallery.html" target="content_iframe">Gallery</a></li> </ul> </div> <div id="localNav"></div> </div> Hello I need to not publicly display phone number inside my website page (I use Joomla CMS). In fact the main goal is of course to be able to show the number but not to be crawled by search engine.. So in practice instead to see this: Phone: 013456789 I would like to see this: Phone: Click here for see the number By clicking on that link the number must be displayed... My website for display the phone field use this php code: Code: <?php echo $CustomFields->field('my_phone',$listing); ?> I asked in some forum and some people tell me is possible to customize this php code with javascript for let me hide/show the field value but I don't have a single idea how to do this because I'm not a programmer... I take a look in all javascript libraries but I don't find any javacript ready for use for let me implement it inside the php code... Anybody have a suggestion please ? many thank Hi, I have a table with 2 colums, the left column is to preview image and the right column is for 4 small thumbnails. Iwant the preview picture to change when clicked on the individual thumbnail. Can someone please help me on this? Code: <table width="816" height="303" border="1"> <tr> <td width="396" height="297"> </td> <td width="404" valign="top"><table width="100%" border="1"> <tr> <td width="52%" height="166"><img src="../Avizhome/images/calendar1.jpg" width="200" height="200"/> </td> <td width="48%"><img src="../Avizhome/images/calendar1.jpg" width="200" height="200" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td height="174"><img src="../Avizhome/images/calendar1.jpg" width="200" height="200" /></td> <td><img src="../Avizhome/images/calendar1.jpg" width="200" height="200" /></td> </tr> </table></td> </tr> </table> I just cannot get the html to load for each linked button to the Iframe. If I remove the "onclick" command for the backround images, the links load to the Iframe. If I leave the "onclick" command in there only the background changes. So, I would assume there is a conflicting issue with loading the "a href" and the "onclick" commands together. Maybe I need to know how to do multiple "onclick" commands...suggestions? Hi Complete novice with Java so need some help please! I want to put a button on a website that when clicked changes the background. The button needs to be an image. For example, click on the image and it makes the background image1 and then click again to switch to background image2. The image/button that is being clicked will be 2 images (one says "turn lights on" then when clicked shows other image "turn lights off") I have managed to pick up bits of code from the net that change the background and got another code that makes 2 images a toggle button. The button changes the background on the first click but no back again on the second click. I guess it needs an if/else statement but not sure. Thanks for any help!!!! I am new to JavaScript and I am having a difficult time finding what I thought would be easy to find (so please forgive me if this has been posted somewhere else...) I have 4 text strings that when a user runs his/her mouseOver, I'd like to display a corresponding picture in a display area. I thought that would be easy enough. However, it gets a bit complicated for me since I am also using CSS to position the display area. For some reason all I can find out there are examples using HTML tables for display image positioning. I don't want to use tables. I'm not sure if this will make a difference but my style sheet is external. Also, the text does not link/go to another page. I REALLY hope that made sense. Someone please help me! I need a script that will allow a user to select a vertical selection and Horizontal selection that displays a corresponding image. There are only 8 combinations (4 vertical choices and 2 horizontal choices) I just need to display the correct image and a description. There has to be only one of each selected and only display one image. I have tried several and have had no luck. Any ideas? Here is how the layout will look I'd like to create a website similar to http://www.picfog.com which displays images posted to Twitpic and Yfrog via Twitter. Could anyone help me with the following: Given a feed/list of messages containing links to images, display the images that are linked to. For example, take these two Twitter messages: omgsage: http://twitpic.com/cw3i3 - This is the cutest kitty ever ellievolia: Our evening! http://twitpic.com/cw3hx Using Javascript how do I extract the link part of each message, convert this to point to the actual thumbnail and then display the thumbnails on the web page? Thanks in advance! I want to show the div when a button is clicked. And the div will enter the page by sliding in (from the left of the page). When it got clicked again, the div will dissapear by sliding out from the page. Any suggestions? Thank You. Hi everyone! I need a little help with something. I have a page with several links that when clicked open a modal window. The same window for each link, with a form. However inside the form I need to print the id of the link that was clicked. Like so: <a href="#" id="1">Link 1</a> <a href="#" id="2">Link 2</a> <a href="#" id="3">Link 3</a> <form> ....somehow print/echo the id of the link... </form> Is this possible? Does anyone know how to do that? I'd appreciate any help! Hi everyone, Let's say i have a form that looks like this: <form name="myForm" action="myPage" onsubmit="return validateForm();"> <input type="text" name="myInput" size="10"> <input type="submit" name="add" value="Add this"> <input type="submit" name="cancel" value="Cancel this"> </form> What i'm trying to do is for the validateForm() function to either redirect the page if "Cancel this" is clicked, or continue processing if "Add this" was clicked. So the validateForm() would work something like this: function validateForm() { if (cancel button is clicked){ location.href=go some place } else{ do some other stuff } } So, how can dynamically detect which submit button was clicked, before submitting the form? (that would fill in the "cancel button is clicked") I tried with document.myForm.cancel.selected and other variations but it always returns undefined. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Hi, may I ask how do you display a line or a sentence when you click the checkbox? Sorry I am new to JavaScript. Says that a.html has two same anchor links (<a href="b.html">b</a>). The anchor links are uneditable but we could add JavaScript to the a.html. Except for dynamic adding onclick event, any other ways could get to know which anchor link being clicked? I have no clue if this is in the correct forum but.... is there a way to determine whether a user clicked on a link vs typed in the url to get to a page? I'm trying to stop users from messing with GET forms (and i have to use them, POST wouldn't make sense in this case). Thanks I have 4 rows in a table. Each row consist of 4 radio buttons. Each radio button per row has different values in it but has the same name (group) ex: <input type="radio" name="a" value="1"> <input type="radio" name="a" value="2"> <input type="radio" name="a" value="3"> <input type="radio" name="a" value="4"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="1"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="2"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="3"> <input type="radio" name="b" value="4"> and so on.. If I click radio button A with value 2, I want to output the total at the bottom as "2".. Also, if I click radio button B with value 3, I want to output the total of A and B as 5 and so on.. How can I automatically calculate the answer based on which radio button was click? update: I got my answer from this site: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...s-using-jquery I have a WebHelp framework created by chmProcessor whereby index.htm calls frameset.html that references a left frame "treeFrame" and right frame "frameCont". The treeFrame has javascript to change the icons from selected to not selected and high light the selected topic. I have a need to have links in the right frame. And when I click on the link in the right frame, I want the right frame to display the topic but I also want the treeFrame navigation to open the navigation to the newly selected topic. How would I go about implementing this? In the tree.html, the tree navigation gets created with this code: Code: contentTree.create( document.getElementById( "contentsTree" ) , window.parent.document.getElementById( "frameCont" ) , window.parent.parent.location.href ); Here is the tree.js Code: /************************************ (C) Toni Bennasar 2007 http://chmprocessor.sf.net Under GPL license.
