JavaScript - Simple Function To Redirect User

Please i am not getting clear understanding of a javascript code to redirect user to a different web page based on the day of the week.

Please i have search for many script and not getting clear understanding from their code.I have also try several code myself but nothing good has come from it.

Don't worry about the $actualname variable, that is working. What I have it doing is when you click a button it starts top() which starts the countdown. Then, after 5 seconds (6 seconds) it redirects. But it doesn't seem to be working.

I'm not one for making my own scripts, so not quite sure about the best way to go about doing this.

I've got a form with 2 different sets of radio buttons. Upon submitting, I'd like to redirect the user to a certain page, based on the selections they made among the radio buttons.

I have a simple javascript for validating the radio buttons. But for what ever reason window.location does not redirect. this is my code:

I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I want the user to hit the submit button on the form and then have a few conditional statements ran to if they left any blank textfields and to see if a certain textfield contains numbers. Then I want the user to be directed to a new page if the statements are true. Here is the function code:

This is located on my main index file which if the result of z is greater than 1, I would have the user stay at this page as opposed to redirecting to the portrait design. I have optimized the website for mobile use so there is a reason of having two different pages, the wide screen has extra tools / other stuff that isn't shown on the portrait not because of size/responsive design but becasue I want it to be this way. Anyway... "What's the situation captain?"

You have extra semicolons in there. In general, don't put a semicolon directly after a right brace };

There are a couple of exceptions, but they don't apply here.

What's the point in having the else??

I have a bunch of questions and know very little javascript. (I come from a world of Visual basic)

I would spend the time to learn a lot more about it, but i dont have that time since this program needs to be done by tuesday.

Question 1:

Do i save the text from textbox a user inputs to a variable like this when a submit button is clicked?:

I have the two functions below, I want to write a function that puts them into a chart, I have the chart sorted etc but just struggling with how to get the actual validated users inputs from these two functions into the chart, I've tried document.write('<td> $' + productIndex + '</td>'); into the chart but that wouldn't work anyway as there could be multiple inputs? Just need a way to get the output really.

I need visitors to my site to be able to search if we offer service in their area.

i.e.

What im trying to do is get the users location (from the iPhone) which I have working and store it in a MySQL database (semi works).

My problem is that to get the location, you need to use javascript. So I thought of using Ajax to post that back to the server. I have very little knowledge in Javascript, and Ajax, so this has been a bit of a struggle. Iv tried to learn how to do it with a tutorial:

Now this works if the user clicks on "Send" that I made, but I want it to do it without the user having to click send.

If anyone could help me with this, or point me in a different direction that would be better then your help would be greatly appreciated.

I made a 50th anniversary guestbook to add memories/etc about our organization. The people can look at the entries and then if they want to add one of there own, there's a link that should pop up a form in a new for them to add it. I have no idea why this pop is not working in Internet Explorer (both IE6 and 7). It works beautifully in Firefox. I have no idea how you can go wrong with window.open. I'm stuck.

Again, only the actual pop up function doesn't work. Everything else seems to be working fine. I included all of my code though even for the tab navigation because the link to the pop up form changes based on what tab they are in (i.e. if they're looking at the past memories tab and click on the link, it takes them to the past memories form). I know it's probably TMI on the code, but I thought it might be somehow related and better safe than sorry, right?
