JavaScript - Prevent Web Page Being Loaded Into An Iframe
Hi all,
I am facing problem in preventing my web page being loaded into an iFrame. I search in internet and found this solution : if (self == top) document.documentElement.style.display = 'block'; else top.location = self.location; The above java script code is simple redirecting me to the home page of my web site. But I donot want that kind of solution. When anybody tried to access my web page through iFrame, it should show an error message like "The content of the web site cannot be loaded into an IFrame". This message should be displayed inside the iFrame. For example, if we tried to access "google.com" site in an iframe, the website should not allow the iframe object to load into it, insted it will display an error message along with a provision to open webiste with an external link with it. I want the buttons in the flash piece to be able to change the src of the iframe. It opens the frame but will not change the src. I've tried a bunch of different things now such as make the flash target the iframe using navigateToURL(request1, 'video'); but in Firefox and IE is opens it stills as if I had _blank in there. It does strangely work in Safari. Any ideas how to get this to work? Thank you! i have an iframe on my webpage and i am loading appropriate page in it by clicking appropriate button but when user logs out and at that time some page is opened in iframe corresponding to the login pages(like "edit profile") of user then at that moment i want to know that what page is loaded in iframe so that i close it(if it corresponds to pages of login like "edit profile") as user logs out and if it does not correspond to login pages then it remains as it is.For doing that i must know that what page is loaded in iframe and compare it in " if(condition){statement} in logout function" with the logion pages so that i know that if any of them is loaded in iframe and if loaded then close it.Can you help me with that by giving exact code example. I want after newtab is opened 5s, alert window will be opened with message:"Loaded complete". Then 2s it is closed. But it isn't what I expect. Please fix it for me. Hi, I have a site that runs a javascript slideshow automatically when a user visits it. It is designed in such a way that I cannot pre-load individual images for aesthetic reasons. (Also the whole concept makes my brain hurt.) I therefore need 1 of 2 things: 1. A preloader that doesn't show the page or start the slideshow until all the images are loaded. or 2. I could start with the slideshow paused, and when the page is fully loaded, the play command (currently attached to a 'play' button) is 'sent'. (I'm not techy, so this is the best I can do as explanation.) The latter would probably be more elegant, especially if ultimately I could hide the controls for the slideshow with a loading bar until all the html is loaded, and then show them when the slideshow starts. I'm sorry if this is a really basic question. I tried searching the site but couldn't find anything. If you do feel like answering, can you imagine that you are speaking to a 5 year old. The issue is that the people near the bottom want a chance to be at the top the first time the page is viewed. It is unlikely that a second visit would happen. Is this possible to load a random page for a site without it being viewed or logged into before, therefore no cookies will be used. You will need to use a cookie or local storage to record the colour of the checkbox. I am using the following code from this site... http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/...selector.shtml but for some reason if the page is long the whole page scrolls up so the top of the calendar is at the top of the browser, which actually hides the box that the date will end up in. can anyone see how I can alter the code so that the page does not scroll up, but have the calendar show just below the box that the date will go in and the page does not scroll? here is the full code that I am using to test this out with. When my code hits line 80, the height of a div tag is increased to make room for expanding content, so that the new content does not overlap already existing content. When the div tag's height increases, this increases the overall page height. When the page height increases, then the scroll bar stays in the same place, but the page position changes in the browser. Is there anyway to prevent the viewer's position from changing when room is made for the expanding content? Hi, Not sure if I worded that question right. I have a web page which will display another web page in an iframe. But the content inside the iframe may change while the user interacts with it so I need to be able to resize the iframe height from code on the page inside the iframe. Any tips on how I can do that? I have a site i'm building in Joomla! 1.5. I've got a form on page A and an iframe on page B. The iframe src is an asp page that returns real estate listing details based on values passed to the asp page in the URL. for example: http://www.hostOfAspPage.com/aspPage...&minprice=500k I figured out how to create a form on page B that changes the src of the iframe by setting the target to the name of the iframe. so that works fine. but now, i want to put a similar form on the home page. Is it possible to use JS (or maybe php?) to create a URL based on the values in the form on page A and then take the visitor to page B while changing the src of the iframe on page B to be the newly created URL? if so, how? existing iframe code: <iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-ONE"></iframe> desired new iframe code (after form on page A is submitted): <iframe name="resultsiframe" src="URL-TWO"></iframe> Thank you very much for your time. i have been looking all over the web and i can't get to where i need to be to finish my page. basically i have two pages and if someone clicks a specific link from the first page i want it go to the other page but load a specific page in the iframe on the second page. i know how to use javascript to make a specific page load into an iframe but not how to make the page load into the iframe on another page. all i need to know is how to do it for one page then i think i can build the decision structure around it to make it work for more than one link (hopefully). any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks. |
