JavaScript - Triggring Event On An Element Of A Dynamically Generated Iframe
Hello friends,
I want to trigger click event on an iframe's element through the main window, Doing it both ways, with or without jquery, will be usable for me. Basically, what I want to do is, I have developed a website http://www.ipjugaad.com, and on every document download page, I have placed an fb like button, what I want to do is that the like button should be automatically clicked when a user click on download button on my website. Give me some idea about how to do it? Similar TutorialsI'm new here and this is my first post, I hope I can find help here. How can i dynamically generate this type of form element in javascript, including the table rows and columns enclosing the form elements and whenever that 'Add More' button is clicked, a new instant of the same form will generated and select drop down list populated. What I'm actually doing is inserting the current time into an existing DIV and updating it every second. THAT all works. What I want to do is also set an event for that div.... something like this: e.event.onclick = 'runThisCode()'; Of course, the above doesn't work... and I'm not even sure what to ask for doing a Google search... because I get no hits (or maybe it's not possible). I have a select (combo box) element that gets filled with items when selected item changed in another one (master combo box). It works in Chrome, FireFox but not in IE (all latest browser versions). '</option>'; - setting innerHTML attribute of the child combo box to a value that gets returned by the ajax call: document.forms['parametersForm'].elements['stationId'].innerHTML = html; Do I need to return JSON object (or XML) by the PHP script and programically add items (in JavaScript) in the ajax callback or is there an alternative? The anchor is assigned an id and is assigned a click/onclick event listener. The anchor id corresponds to a list of objects in an array. In practice, the image tag is receiving the event. The code does setAttribute in another elements img tag src attribute. The image tag receiving the click event, (and passing it to the anchor tag) is event.target. (or event.srcElement, in the case of I.E.) My Question: What I want to know is how to reference the event.target parent element, the anchor tag elements Id attribute. Hi all, I am really stuck on this: I have an iframe on my page <iframe id="displayframe">. I used security="restricted" to create a more 'secure' frame but that means that any forms which submit will be opened in a new window... away from my website. I also have a textbox, called "showurl" which acts as an 'address bar' to the iframe and the accompanying button "go". I read on Stanford's website that: "It is possible to use JavaScript inside the restricted iframe, by attaching event handlers from the outside (unrestricted) window. This allows the outer window to get around the restriction that hyperlinks in a restricted iframe are supposed to open in a new window. " So I would need a function that would detect when a new page has been opened (ie. a form has been submitted) and would be able to take the URL of the new page, copy the new page's URL into the textbox and click the button "Go" and close the new page (the one which just opened) All in all... The event handler needs to get the url of the submitted form page (the opened window) paste it into the textbox "showurl", click the button "go" and then close the opened window. Hi, I would like to know how I can use JavaScript to find the size of my iFrame and feed it to Shadowbox to launch the appropriate sized shadowbox on different browsers and resolutions. For me, the parent page is called 'demo.html' and the iFrame is 'gallery/archive_iframe.html'. Currently, the shadowbox is launched with a fixed height and width (which you will see in the HTML code below). The problem is that 'gallery/archive_iframe.html' displays differently on every browser and every resolution, causing unwanted horizontal and vertical scroll bars. etc etc.. Which is just something i found online - probly isnt right for what im trying to accomplish. If you go to the site- you navigate by hovering over/clicking the images at the top and that loads a new page into the iframe below. Id like to be able to fix the errors and get it working without having to force ie7 compatibility if possible too. Any help is much appreciated Sorry for the title- i'm doing my best to describe my problem. So this is basically it: I have some javascript onmouseover events that change the content of an iframe. The problem is that within the javascript calls, I have some url's attached to rollover buttons INSIDE the parent div's that are being manipulated by javascript. So the iframe refreshes properly when its supposed to, but it ALSO refreshes as each of the links inside the effected div are rolled over as well. So there is too much extra refreshing and lots of clicking noises because of the Internet Explorer default noise settings. The prob is that the div's named turquoise1 and coral1 are being effected by the javascript on the containing div. How do i make it unaffected by that js? Is there something like a "onmouseover=do nothing" or something of the sort? Hello all I am new here but this place looked great and like one of the only places where I could find the answer to my question. I have created a page which pulls search results from various sites using PHP. It displays each result in a row in a table upon running. I wanted to add a button saying "More information" at which point, a div would appear and load the associated link for that search result within an iframe within the newly appeared div. I've been able to get a div appear and disappear on button click but, I couldn't get it to dynamically load an iframe on click with the associated search results link. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also let me know if you need more information before assisting. Thanks! As I said this does the job to some extent however it does not leave the focus in a perfect position so that the captcha is readable and the text box visible to type in, as illustrated in the red box in the above image. But when debugging I see under el on the line marked with (1) that the onclick event is null. What am I doing wrong?!
