JavaScript - How To Use Javascript To Display Selected Hyperlink

Edit: Problem solved.

Hey all,
I'm sure this is very basic but I'm having a hard time adding a hyperlink to text within javascript. I want to add a website link to the text 'click here' that is being displayed under the image within javascipt. I end up modifying the whole image instead, removing the javascript that displays the larger version of the image. Can anyone help me out please? Here's the coding. I'm using Dreamweaver CS5 on a PC to modify a few things and using another website building program to get the basic layout. I'm just a small business owner trying to get my website off the ground. I am new to this forum and really needs your help.
Please let me know how can I highlight a selected portion of an html document with javascript such that the selected portion is repeatedly shown highlighted on each and every page refresh.

like for example i have text areas named upload1 and upload2

when I click or add input on upload1 a drop down list below upload2 will not change, but when I add input on upload2 the dropdown will select "parts"

i'm working with a city select option, a hotel select option & an iframe. the hotel select option is populated depending on the chosen city which then updates the iframe src. this is all working fine.

the trouble im having is that when the page is refreshed, normal f5 way, the hotel option changes whereas the city option & the iframe src remains the same??

this problem does not occur on a force refresh via control + f5 as then both select options & iframe src revert to their original state.

I don't want the city option to change upon a normal page refresh. how do I go about this?

want to get selected text and image values .Since there is an randomly changed text and image on my page.I used window.getSelection() but this will return only selected text values not images ..so please guide me to solve this problem.

what can be the reasons for the same code which works perfectly in notepad to not show its result in a jsp application done using eclipse??anything to do with settings?
I am not able to display the current date as default in dd/mm/yyyy format in drop down boxes..only dd and yyyy apears but month isnt apearing as default..
can u suggest alternative logic and its code to implement the same??

I am trying to use a Javascript to display a randomly selected image located in a folder of my site. I need to fit these images (which may have quite diverse dimensions) into a frame of 280x280 px.

how can I display the same Javascript Graph more then once on the same HTML page. Everytime I add another graph using the same code on the same HTML page only one graph will show. Here is the code that I have:

Apparently, this is for use of when you are modifying, for example, a PHP header or footer displayed on every page and you only want something to show up on particular pages.
My issue is that I am trying to put something in the header of a Tumblr blog, and I only want it to show on the post pages.

I am rather new to HTML and Javascripting and am currently developing an Intranet Webpage. On one of the pages, I am required to update the contents of the webpage using a .csv file which will be uploaded to the server on a daily basis.

I have learnt that it is possible to update the contents using "Tabular Data Control" to display the contents and update it regularly. I am also reuqired to change an images according to content in the table. However, I am only able to retrieve the first row the the table and therefore would like some assistance to help retrieve the subsequent rows.

I have thought of adding 6 different <object> and 6 <span> using filter to filter each object according to their name. But it would be very messy and would make the page bigger in size.

Hi guys I'm really stumped on this, and I haven't been able to find a tutorial online anywhere.

I'm trying to create an XML news feed for a company's website I am currently building. I have created the XML, and gotten the text to display perfectly in the HTML by using javascript.

Now I want to add a thumbnail image for each news story, to make updating simpler, I wanted the url for the thumbnail to be entered into the XML, from which the javascript could read and then display in the corresponding area in the HTML.

Is this even possible? Every tutorial I get when I use the terms "Image" and "Javascript" gives me a tutorial for a gallery or a slideshow which is not what I want at all.
