JavaScript - Onclick Load Page In Iframe
I am a javascript newbie. I have a radio website that runs a live stream 24/7. The live stream is loaded in to an iframe named "stream". I only ever have 2 files that show in that iframe. 1 for when the user has the stream on and another for when they turn it off. stream_on.php and stream_off.php
I also have podcasts on the site and my goal is when the user clicks the .swf object to play the podcast, the live stream in the iframe changes to stream_off.php so that the 2 audios don't overlap each other. Here's the code I have so far for the .swf object. As always, any input is greatly appreciated! Ok, I am aware this will sound like a plug for my script, but please bare with me. I created a bookmarklet script to help me audit extremely large style sheets. Basically while on a site that you would like to audit, you click the bookmarklet and the document's body contents gets remove and replaced with an iframe that points to the current sites home page. From here you can choose what style sheet (the script finds) to begin reporting over. The more pages you browse (through the iframe) the more accurate the report gets. My problem however, is if the person is on the site's home page when first running the script, the iframe never loads up. I think it has to do with the fact that you are on the home page, and then the iframe tries to point to the home page as well and fails for some reason. Is there any solution that comes to mind for anyone out there? You can test it by bookmarking this bookmarklet and running it on any site's home page where style sheets can be found: Get The Bookmarklet on this page Again, it works great if you don't start the script from a sites home page. My website contains a ton of hidden divs. I thought this would make everything easier for the user because now they can stay on one page and view tons of content but it is making my page load very slowly. Is there a way to not load the pages hidden content until the user clicks the link and makes it visible? I see various tutorials online but I am having trouble learning how to translate that to my site. I have an image gallery with about 10 images. Its a very simple image gallery, basically you have "A" "B" "C" "D" etc, and for each letter you click on, JavaScript changes the relative image from hidden to block. The problem I have is that all of the 10 images load in the background, despite the user not clicking on the corresponding letter, which wastes a ton of bandwidth. At the moment the javascript(resizing stuff) in the iframe code delays the iframe from loading in full before the "streaming music player" code. If I remove the "onclick" command for the backround images, the links load to the Iframe. If I leave the "onclick" command in there only the background changes. So, I would assume there is a conflicting issue with loading the "a href" and the "onclick" commands together. Maybe I need to know how to do multiple "onclick" commands...suggestions? Hi, I am looking for some code that will do the following Form to post any URL to an iFrame and load said URL. I been told Javascript can do this, but I am also after the form bit as well if possible. Ok, 'nother head-banger for the hardcore! I have a "contact us" <a> with the id 'contact' on the main page, which is supposed to change the source file of an iframe to the contact page. Except when I click on "contact us" nothing happens. I've tried to get this to work several different ways, and suspect that the problem is purely syntax, but I just haven't been able to figure it out. The setIFrame function is used to call the content initially when the page loads, and is working beautifully in that context. I can do it as if it is a popup window but it requires that from one iframe, I reload the player in the other iframe. Is there a way to do it that targets the player in the iframe without treating it like a popup window? Any help greatly appreciated! etc etc.. Which is just something i found online - probly isnt right for what im trying to accomplish. I set the timer he The JS is in my heading as <script type="text/javascript" src="countdownpro.js"></script> About mid-body I have: <span id="countdown1">2010-07-20 00:00:00 GMT+00:00</span> which allows for the setting of a target date to countdown to. When the page first loads it shows the above long format target time, until the js/meta tags kick in to modify it to just show the actual countdown as 00:00:00. I have attached countdownpro.js to this post. I tried shifting the function CD_Init() to the top of the script, and also appended it inline with the .html.
