I'm having a problem with http://taxlienagents.com/ and how it is displaying in Google Chrome. When I open the site in Google Chrome, the center Tab Area seems to cover the main text above it. If you take a look at http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/8869/taxliensite.jpg, you should be able to see what I am talking about versus when opening the site in FireFox. I tried playing around with the Z-Index, but that didn't seem to fix it. The other issue that I seem to be having is with rolling over the buttons ("How to," "Coaching," and "Done for You") the highlight only covers about 2/3 of the button, I think this is an issue with FancyBox.

So I have a search function that searches through an XML file depending on which criteria the user wants to search. It works great so far in Firefox, OK in IE and not at all in Chrome. There's only one problem I have with IE which is you have to click submit, you cant hit the enter key to search. Is this fixable? Ive tried writing a function where if it detects the enter key press, it "clicks" submit, but that didn't work. In chrome, I search for something but it says there's nothing to be found. My code is below and any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I also noticed that if i have a description like "Aluminum painted brush", I can search single words("aluminum" or "brush"), or words next to each other ("aluminum painted" or "painted brush") but I cant search separate words like "aluminum brush" and have it return the item because their is another word between the two. How would I edit it so that I can return the item?

I have spent some time writing a javascript online calculator.

Hi again all, back with another hopefully easy question to fix.

I googled for the answer, but could not come up with a good response in terms of my own script on how to make the return code fields EXPAND to full length when pressed like they do in firefox and chrome.

Does anyone have a quick fix for this? It's all dynamically loaded except for the first 10 fields (Which i might as well take out anyway), so I'm thinking I have to put something in the javascript somewhere, just no idea what. Thanks a lot!

OK well one I have tried to contact the author of this application and he no longer writes or supports it and I know nothing about javascript... so here I am BEGGING FOR HELP!!! any body will to give this a go would love to try anything

here is my problem the timer is self works fine but since new updates (RECENT) in Chrome and Firefox when you move away from the window it stop the count then when you come back to it the count starts again I dont want the count to stop any ideas would be great

I need to display a receipt, open the print dialog and then go back to another form.

My code is as follows at the bottom of the page:

It works prefect in firefox, but not in chrome.
In Chrome it just redirects and never waits for the print dialog.

I need it to wait until the user can click print or cancel. If I take out the window.location line it brings up the print dialog (but I want it to redirect afterwards).

Hi,

This code uses the getElementById to change the background of certain <tr>'s.

In a nutshell there are two buttons, the code checks which one has been clicked, then checks the background colour of a relevant <tr> and depending what it finds changes the colours of the cells.

Works fine in Chrome and Firefox but not in IE and I'm now sorely vexed by it.

Can anyone shed light on the solution please?

I've searched high and low for some decent code that will allow a visitor to a website to bookmark the site through a hyperlink. The bookmarking is done through a javascript function that looks like this:

Since the upgrade from chrome 9 to chrome 10 my script is showing an error in my variables when i use boolean expressions.
they changed to version V8, Chrome's JavaScript engine.

Hello,

I am trying to create an imageuploader for my forum hosted on domain forum.com (fictional domain name)

The image uploader is hosted on domain uploader.com (fictional domain name)

When the uploader is done i want info to be passed from the uploader to the texteditor on the forum using javascript.

I tried everything i could think of with document.getElementById but to no avail.

The element on the forum is clickableEditor.textarea

Is it possible and if so, can someone please help me out?

I have a web page with two frames, frame1 and frame2. I have javascript code and an unordered list (<ul><li>...) in frame1. In the javascript code I am creating a new <div> element, but I am creating it in the html of frame2. Then I am attempting to append the <ul> node from frame1 to the <div> of frame2. Internet Explorer does not appear to allow this, I am getting an error when I attempt this. Firefox seems to allow this. Is this a security issue in IE? If so, is there any way to do this in IE?

Hi,

I've a photo gallery with a navigation panel made of little buttons with numbers which, after clicking on them, load the relative photo on the right hand side.

When a number from the navigation panel is clicked, it should turn purple.

It all works fine in safari/mac latest versions but there are problems under IE/Win and FireFox/Win, the other 2 environments I'm keen to have compatibility.

Could please anyone suggest me what corrections I've to make on the code in order to be sure I've this compatibility issues sorted?

I've got a cross browser issue with two javascript codes I'm using within a website: http://www.thewursteditions.com

Someone just pointed out today that they don't see my gallery (galleria javascript) nor my rollover on the size guide.

The site works great on the iphone, firefox, and safari, but not in Internet Explorer.

I really have no idea what the issue could be as I don't do this too often but I would greatly appreciate any of your help!

ok, so i am working on a type of Option Box that is heavily formatted with CSS and animated using JS $fx()

The $fx framework works fine on all browsers, and i have only used fairly simple code, and yet my page functions perfectly on Chrome and Safari.
but will not work in Firefox or IE

(Firefox does nothing, and IE has a couple of css issues and doesnt work either...)

So I was reading up on how to load and parse an XML file into an html page and I found through w3 a great tutorial with sample code:

I am in the process of developing a form for the company intranet and i've recently added in code to capture the enter key event to prevent the page from automatically submitting. Along with this, i added code to move the focus to the next element in the tab index. When used in IE, the code works perfectly, but when i use it in firefox or chrome the focus jumps to the same box every time. I don't know what i'm doing wrong am i'm hoping someone can help me figure this out.
