i want to have the capability similar as that of vbulletin so that if user is writing reply using 'quick reply' & want to move to full editor page the contents be preserved.

@phpbb3 (I am successful needs optimisation)
1] the textarea id is similar both in quick & full reply editors
2] When replying a special string is there in url

Now everone knows this time interval function is heavy for browsers...so I want to start ts only when field.value.length > 0 but I am unable to do so. Any suggestions. Simply this willnt work

This little script works nicely in IE, and FF but fails in Chrome. It saves the contents of input boxes and displays them next time the page loads:

Is there any possible way for JS to save changes that a user has made?

my situation is that I'm a photographer who offers photobooks. My customers often have hundreds or thousands of photos and want captions on lots of them. I want to post a photo gallery with a user input form. I've created a simple form, but I want the user to be able to save comments straight to the gallery so I can look at them...

it's only a very simple form and isn't quite finished yet, oh by the way, I'm not sure how to use the check box... but, i'll work on that.

I have to print my cell phone call records but unfortunately my wireless provider displays the number I called only when mouse is hovered over Call details. I have 470 call records and copy pasting all those numbers when mouse is hovered over it will be one hell of a task.

Is there any way I could save all the information related to Called Number and do not have to move my mouse for each and every number?

Using my basic programming understanding (Though I know nothing about javascript), they are using some mouseover function that displays this information. The possibility of this information to be on the server is less because this information is even available when I switch off my wireless.

I can paste that portion of the code if someone needs it to help me out.

Saving this website using normal "Save as" does not save the required information.

Is there any other way I can save this website will all its details or somehow disabling this mouseover function so that call details are not hidden anymore.

Saving Onclick Values In Hidden Field!

Hi all, I'm a beginner in JavaScript can someone please help me to resolve this issue and thanks in advance for your help!

What I'm trying to do is..

When you select multiple <div> get the value of each one and save in separate hidden fields accordingly.

What needs to happen is...

Click div 1 --> if hidden field1 value is "none", save there, else check hidden field 2 if that's "none" save in hidden field 2

Click div 2 --> if hidden field1 value is "none", save there, else check hidden field 2 if that's "none" save in hidden field 2

The guy who originally coded this is no longer with us and we can't seem to figure out why this code isn't working. Neither of us really know JS. I've messed with jQuery more than I've messed with straight up JS but even that is limited knowledge.

What happens is it remembers the first thing you click on, but nothing more. We looked at the cookie value and it seems to be right. 4digit number followed by - followed by 4 more digits etc etc (0000-0001-0002 etc)

If anyone could help that would be wonderful.

This code only works properly in Chrome, but not in other browsers.
In IE, it doesn't save/recognize the cookies, apparently.
And in Firefox, I don't even get the audio to play.

Printing A Contents Of A Div With Its Css

I am printing out the contents of a DIV tag but it does not print the css with it. Just the basic text
For example:

Im currently working on my project and I have a big problem with changing the layout of tabs. Basically, when I launch my GUI, it will display "No Data Available" in my view tab. In my Add tab, I have the admin panel whereby the user enters the data to be stored and display. the problem now lies when displaying. It is a juke ringtone gallery whereby when there are data being stored in the database, it will display the following in a Gridlayout;

I applied the ChangeListener to the JTabbedPane which is tp. I added tabs using tp.add. I declared this in my ChangeListener:

where createViewPanel() is for the View tab and createAddPanel() is for the Add tab. i also called the respective tabs using frameView = (JPanel)tp.getComponent(0); to get the layout for View tab and frameAdd = (JPanel)tp.getComponent(1); to get the layout for the Add tab.
What methods need I use so that I can display the different data in the specific GridLayout to be displayed in the View tab or what other ways can I do it?

Getting Js To Use Variable Contents Instead Of

I seem to have an issue with getting javascript to recognize the value of a variable.

If you see where I alert the value of currgroup, it displays "Group1" as it should... so the next line should be Group1.Contains(point); but it errors out as "currgroup.Contains(point) is not a function".

If however I hard code it with Group1.Contains(point) it works fine.

Is there a way to tell JS explicitly that I want it to use the variable contents instead of the name that I'm missing?
