JavaScript - Problem With Auto-reloading Random Img
hi, everyone, I'm struggling to figure out how to make my image automatically reload. particularly when the image is randomly selected from a folder.
The timing seem to work as the first image disappear after 5 seconds as dictated in the first JavaScript but it simply stays black. I made a system for generating friend requests on Facebook. I have a grid that is 6 x 3, for a total of 18 cells. Each cell has a picture in it, and the picture is linked to the Facebook friend request page. My problem is that since each cell is populated at random from the array, I'm getting lots of repeats. For example, some picutures are in 5 cells, and some are in none. I'm trying to figure out how to make it so that once a picture is used once in the grid, it does not get used again in the same grid. I still want every cell filled at random on each page load, I just want to prevent the repeating. I realised that my %age rules defining the width of my website page dont really work once i get to wider sizes so i want to use a fixed width page design using css code (only once wide enough) to achieve this. From what I can figure out, this means that the startAnimation() function has restarted but the animate(d) function has not restarted. but trying to call the animate(d) function from the button, where the startAnimation() gets called, he Code: <input type="button" onclick="startAnimation();return false;" value="show bus route 1"> results in an error that d is not defined. is there some way of resetting the animate(d) function when the startAnimation() function gets called, so everything goes back to the start? I'd like to add a piece of coding to this so that on mouseover, the marquee will pause, but I don't have a clue what to add, or where. I need to find a way to refresh a small imported java script every time a button is pressed without refreshing the entire form. Would also like to have it refresh automatically every hour if possible. The line of code to reload is <script src="http://www.dgdevelco.com/quotes/quotestxt.js"></script>. I have an application I'm working on and here is what I'm trying to do: I want users to work from a main application. Certain things will need to be done but the users wont want to see the main screen go away while doing these certain things. So my idea is to just open a new window with the content they need, they'll make their changes, the new window will close but then I want the main page to reload. I have a set of tabs that are set with an href that adds a query string to the url such as "?t=1", meaning the first tab is selected.
