JavaScript - How Do I Show The Values Selected By Checkbox?
My goal is that when I click on the submit button, I just want to display an alert box with the values selected, and also look at this in the console.log.

Hi Folks, I'm trying to figure out a script to transfer selected checkbox information to another page. I'm making a needs list for a non-profit group and the list is "huge" so I thought it would be nice to have something where the viewer could have a list of the items they checked to donate instead of printing out or transmitting the six pages for the entire list. I found a script in the archives from 10/2002 that "Adios" wrote in reply to an inquiry. It is real close to what I want but it involves transfering graphics instead of the text information from the checkbox. I've been working on it for several days but cannot get it to work. The print feature is not a big issue as the viewer can print from the browser but I thought it would make the transferred information page a bit more snazzy and they will have a record of thier selections. The contents of the dropdown lists are dependent on each other and are populated via php scripts which are called each time a selection is made or changed by the user. When the view results button is clicked in the form I need the user to be directed to a specific page based on the selections they have made. The url of the page they need to be directed to is really based on what has been chosen in the first dropdown. The subsequent dropdowns form variables that I need to be sent to the page so that the data the user sees on that page is relevant. ie if the user has chosen bikes then a specific manufacturer then a specific price range the page they will be sent to will be the bike.php page with all the manufacturer specific bikes in their chosen price range visible. Can anyone tell me the best way to go about doing this please? I had thought about using the php header script along with an if statement but how do I then go about getting the variables sent to the page to be recognised? Would I be better looking at the window.location in js to do this? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated on this. Basically if the checkbox with a class of cf_flt is checked then I want the div '.filterbox' to show. if the checkbox is unchecked then I want it to hide. As well as this I have a toggle button called '.filtertoggle' which toggles the '.filterbox' At the moment the '.filterbox' shows regardless of whether or not the checkbox is checked. The toggle button works correctly. If you know how to fix this then I would be very grateful. Hi all, I am in the process of developing a calculator for some of my colleagues to use. One of the variables within the calculations is called PMH. I want to determine the value of PMH based on which checkboxes are ticked. Each checkbox has a different value. If the checkbox is not ticked, then the value of each option is 1 and obviously more than one checkbox may be ticked.
