Hi! New to JS... have been trying to rework this to call additional, independent sets of colors to cycle through (so it would loop thru a set of grays, a set of primary colors, etc). I would use perhaps a different function name in the HTML to call different sets of colors. If this is more complex than I think it is, I think 3 sets would be plenty. I am new to JavaScript and I am having a difficult time finding what I thought would be easy to find (so please forgive me if this has been posted somewhere else...) I have 4 text strings that when a user runs his/her mouseOver, I'd like to display a corresponding picture in a display area. I thought that would be easy enough. However, it gets a bit complicated for me since I am also using CSS to position the display area. For some reason all I can find out there are examples using HTML tables for display image positioning. I don't want to use tables. I'm not sure if this will make a difference but my style sheet is external. Also, the text does not link/go to another page. I REALLY hope that made sense. Someone please help me! Hi all, I have a free script I have downloaded and I can't figure out how to edit it so that I can change the color of the text to whatever I want it to be and also so that the length of the scrolling text (I am not sure if scrolling is the right term) can be changed. As you can see from my javascript, i am getting the elements by id (getElementById("color")). Currently, only the first <td> with id='color' is changing when the value is entered. How do I make the text in other table cells with id='color' change color when the comparison value is entered? I have one html text area in my JSP file. when i click on that text area, a pop-up will come, in that pop-up i have list of items. So after selecting a item from that pop-up list, need to click okay. so that text area will update with the selected value. In this case, i need to compare the first text area value and updated text area value. How can i do that in Java Script. I'd seriously appreciate some guidance with the following:- The site in question: http://www.professorbet.com/2010/football2010win.php The problem: Popups work fine, as they open the mini thumbnails when you mouseover. However, as you scroll down the page, the images move with you. So, if you mouseover'd the top result (having not scrolled down) the graph would appear when it was supposed to. However, if you scrolled down 200px, and then mouseover'd the top result (or any result), the thumbnail would popup 200px lower than it should. Hello I am pretty new to AJAX & I am making a simple program to input new text refresh inside the HTML element that has the id='result'. My Problem: - The AJAX script fails when I try to change the text inside 'result' using my code, sometimes a whole new page opens with the text I wanted to put inside the result HTML element. Sometimes I just get a notification that an error occured. - I believe it is because of my function state_changed & using the parameter element_id with the function getElementById(element_id).innerHTML = ...; - It should be easy to see where my problem occurs when you look at my code Any advice on why the script fails & how to fix it would be extremely helpful. Greetings, In a vertical expanding menu, I'm looking to change where the user clicks in order to expand the menu to the submenu. In short I want the user to be able to click on the parent menu item text and have that action expose the submenu children text items. Please see attached .png for visual. At present, the user must click on an arrow icon next to the parent menu item text to expand, but I'd also like the parent menu item to expand showing its children when clicked. All the parent menu item does right now is call in the linked page; it does not expand the menu. I've attached the .js in the 3 attached .txt files. Please let me know if there's anything else I should add/send.
