The input is padded with a 0 for the first character to work with the server. I was wondering if there is any way to make that 0 invisible so the user doesn't get confused?
Hi I discovered something weird that happend to me when trying to add a javascript created table to the document.body. Basically it doesn't add it in IE, but works fine in FF. Actually it does add it in IE, but only shows up if I add a <br/> later in a new statement... What?!?! try my code to see what is going on. (works fine in FF, does bad thing in IE) I tried to narrow the code i was working with down to basics and still have the glitch happen so maybe it's just something wrong with this code, but i couldn't pinpoint it. Also, it's only when i do document.body.appendChild(), not document.body.innerHTML += entireMassiveElement.innerHTML; I need it to work in both browsers with the appendChild() method, because innerHTML is much slower. Any advice appreciated! Thanks! The user will need to click on the email address in the listbox before clicking on the button to edit. But then, the email address will be displayed on the prompt box's textbox, and even without editing it, the user can get scot-free. I would want to remove the email address on the prompt box's textbox, and also to check for null entries. If it is null, it will display an alert message. I'm new to programming, although I've learned HTML and CSS pretty thoroughly. I think I have most of the Javascript basics down as far as definitions, but I'm getting hung up on the actual coding. I'm working on an information request form for my fiancee's business site. In it, I want to have options that users select via radio buttons. Rather than having additional input fields static on the page, I would like to program some of the radios, when clicked, to open a previously unseen option where users will then be able to type in the necessary information. More specifically, since she only works in two states, I want a third option of "other," which, when opened, will allow the user to input any other state. Then, should the radio be deselected or reset, the field would disappear again. If my understanding is correct, I think I will need to use a javascript function in the header, an HTML "div" section with ID, "onclick" and "offclick" events in the button mark-up, and the specific javascript code to call the function (getElementById?). Or maybe I'm way off. Please help. Thanks hi, on my website http://zend.warrencreative.com/gemini-group/index.html I am using thickbox, if you click on Subscribe to newsletter at the top it opens up a box, I need to change type="button" to type="image" but this doesn't work?! is there any other way? Basically, I want to make it so there is a button, and when you click it, it plays a random song from a list of songs that would be in the code. I am not completely sure if this is possible or not. I know how to make the button, that is simple. Sorry if this is actually easy, I am just learning how to script. Here's the code. what am I missing to make this work? Thank you in advanced! @if (Model.Layer.Id > 0){ <div style="float: left; padding-left: 14px;"> @using (Html.BeginForm("Delete", "Layer", new { layerId = Model.Layer.Id, subAccountId = Model.SubAccount.Id })){ <input type="image" src="/Portal/Content/images/admin-delete-off-btn.png" onmouseover="this.src='/Portal/Content/images/admin-delete-on-btn.png'" onmouseout="this.src='/Portal/Content/images/admin-delete-off-btn.png'" title="Delete button" value="Delete" alt="Delete" /> } </div> } <div class="clear"></div> <div id="dialogDeleteBox" title="Delete Confirm" style="display: none"> <span class="ui-icon ui-icon-alert" style="float: left; margin: 0 7px 40px 0;"></span> <div id="confirmDeleteLayer"> <div id="confirmDeleteLayerMessage"> <p> Are you sure you want to delete this group? </p> </div> </div> </div> Hi! However, on hover, I'd like there to come a drop down that for example link to test 1, test 2, test 3. Is this possible? Thank you! how do i make a html button stay down when pressed, until another button within a specified group of buttons is pressed, at which point it is released and the other button stays pressed?
I have some code that will check a users screen resolution and open a new window with a particular version of my website in, I have several sites for different page sizes. But when this code runs in Safari the pop-up is blocked so I would like the image on my page to be a button that runs the code to open the 'correct' window (based on the screen res) and as a button is launching the new window Safari should be okay about it. Unless I am doing something wrong? http://www.meta.projectmio.com/pop.html But how do I modify the code to do this, I'm hopeless? Thanks. Hi, I am going to open a new window on my web page , and run one link (which is important for me to be run ), then close that window after some seconds, but I do not want this window be visible by users. This is the code I used, but when I add visible= none, the function does not work, and my link cannot be run. <button onclick="myFunction()">Click</button> <script type="text/javascript"> function myFunction() { var win = window.open("link", '1366002941508','width=x,height=y,left=xx,top=yy', visible=none); setTimeout(function () { win.close();}, ss); } </script> I really appreciate for your suggestion ) Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum, and in need of help. The code below sometimes works the way I want it to...by downloading a video from an external site and displaying a placeholder whenever the page loads. But most of the time, the video won't download and display until a user hovers their mouse over the blank area. Is it possible to modify the code so that it functions consistently by always downloading and displaying the placeholder when the page loads? I don't want users to think there's a missing/broken video because there's a blank space where the video is supposed to be, and they don't realize they have to mouse over it. I would be grateful for any pointers. I searched the forums for a solution, but I don't think I'm using the correct keywords. Thanks so much for your help. Code: <a href="#" onclick="return(false);" rel="videoGUID=4cd75af679b39g4963V828c00c581024ae86&" style="display: block; width: 550px; height: 310px" id="4cd75af679b39g4963V828c00c581024ae86" width="550" height="310">How to Take Care of Your Dog's Teeth: VetVid Episode 001</a><script type="text/javascript" src="http://360.sorensonmedia.com/4cd75af679b39g4963V828c00c581024ae86/embedv2.js"></script> I would like to make an ordered list, for example: 1. Airplane 2. Boat 3. Car I'd like one of the words to be displayed on my webpage, for example: Boat Then I'd want an up button, and a down button. The up button would display Airplane instead of Boat, and the down button would display Car instead of Boat. Once it got to Car, the same up button would change it back to boat. How do I do this? Thanks. |
