JavaScript - Simple Fix Jquery Issues?
Hi, im having 2 javascript problems that maybe you guys could help with.
my website is: www.pagefrog.net In chrome the drop down works great however on my other laptop using chrome also the drop down is extremely choppy, why is it choppy on one but not the other? - and if you go to www.pagefrog.net/questions.html ive used a togglebox script to expand the answers. This works fine in chrome and safari but in IE8 it just wont expand, why? As an added note the questions script is also really choppy on my 2nd laptop.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated thank you.. Similar TutorialsOkay, 3 questions I'm afraid, all in reference to the JQuery Galleria on this page: http://digital.tmhcentral.com/pratt/a... Apologies for my explanations as I am a newby to anything beyond html & css. 1. I have a number of images placed in my html page simply using the img tag. When the page is loading I see these images stacked (full size) for a few seconds before galleria loads and then begins to convert them into thumbnails. Any idea how to hide the images on the page but only to appear in the galleria as the images start to load as thumbnails? 2. I wish to have the same 5px (horizontal) gap between each thumbnail. However my images are of different sizes and have been optimized to a max width or max height. I do not wish for the thumbnails to be cropped so have set: thumb_crop: false, This has now visually created an inconsistent horizontal space between each thumbnail (highlighted in pink to show the gap left and right of each one). I have already attempted to change the thumbnail width to auto in the css, but with no success. How do I remove the 'excess' left & right space from each thumbnail so that the gap appears consistent? 3. Lastly, upon page load, is it possible to hide the main stage image until a thumbnail is selected? I wish to initially display some text (where the main image sits) which is then replaced with the main image when the user clicks on one of the thumbnails. I can't figure out how for the life of me to make that image also a link. My main problem is the code below. img_b1.jpg is the full size image and image_1.jpg is the thumbnail image. When you click on the thumbnail it changes the big image in the middle. So, basically what i'm doing here is hovering over the h2 heading and toggling the paragraph text. What i'm having a problem doing is changing the h3 headings so that they toggle the same way...is there a way to do this within this function without ids/classes? Hello! I've been fighting with a jQuery slider all day, and it's going nowhere because admittedly I have extremely limited jQuery knowledge. I am really hoping that someone here is better at this than I am and can tell me why I see a list of the items that should be in the slider stacked up on top of each other rather than seeing the actual slider. Here is the functions.php code. All CSS is in place, but I can copy/paste the stylesheet if necessary as well. If this isn't an appropriate forum for this, can you point me in the right direction? So, i have this code which retrieves php files for me using jquery and id love to get it working with Jquery history plugin. I tried modifying the code i got from the ajax demo to work for me, but i just couldnt do it as i do not know any javascript really.. ( actually what i tried was simply to change "#ajax-links a" to "#menu li a" and .html to .php ..but nothing.. :rolleyes: Id be very gratefull if someone would help me out with this one. I've got a div content jquery slider on my site I am making and it works beautifully in all browsers(took me a while). Then, I decided why not have it where when people click on a "read more" link that it pops up a box, instead of directing to the new page, and displays the contents of a div. I imagine this would be very simple for someone who knows javascript. I want to have three fields. First field is "posted speed limit", second field is "actual speed" and third field will be the output field. All the script needs to do it subtract the posted speed from the actual speed and add a ZERO to the end; which is the amount of the speeding ticket. The minimum fine is $100, however. So, 5 miles over the speed limit would be $100 (minimum value) 15 miles over the speed limit would be $150 (add a zero) 35 miles over the speed limit would be $350. etc. I know very little Javascript, if anyone could help me out with this, I'd appreciate it. As you can see by the highlighted portion, the user is alerted once they make a selection. It should go something like this: [Add to table] Football [Add to table] Basketball [Add to table] Baseball Once they click the 'add to table' button, their selection should be added to a table that is at the bottom of the page.
