JavaScript - Javascript Or Css Not Working On Live Server
Hey
I've created a new homepage for my cubecart shop, but when I upload it it doesn't display, I've check all resources and they are all being loaded Here is the site: http://www.genyx.co.uk/ Here is what it is supposed to look like: http://www.genyx.co.uk/Genyx%20Theme/html/index.htm Can anyone help? Similar TutorialsHi, I am working on the following page: http://www.reutin-international.com/redirect.html There is a news script on the right-handside which rotates news items (a kind of scroller). Locally this works without any problems, but once I've uploaded it to the hosting server this doesn't work. There is no javascript error sign. I have double checked with the hosting and they support javascript by default. If anyone has any ideas it'd be appreciated! Thanks! Hi, I have created a global navigation includes document. Unfortunately the drop down menus that are part of the navigation aren't working. They worked fine when they were part of the page, but now that they are separated from the page as includes the drop down menus don't appear in my test site (posted to a web server). All other content in the includes file appears and works. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Hi I hope someone can help me or direct me to the right place.... Here is the situation. I am a graphic guy and do some web design but am not really good with javascript. I am using the enlargeit.js program for the photo viewer on www.blackwoodsconcrete.com in the galleries. It has worked wonderfully up till now. I recieved new pictures from the owner to post on his page and they will not open when i view them live. I use dreamweaver cs5 and when i look in preview mode, they work great. They are standard jpg images. see http://www.blackwoodsconcrete.com/example_error.html for an example. The top pic does not work and the rest do... I have resized them, changed file formats, opened them in photoshop and edited them, and basically anything else you could think of, i tried. Even if i open one of the working photos in photoshop and place the new one over it and save it as something completely different it still does not work! everything else does. Does anyone have any clue what to do? Thanks in advance! TK Do you log JavaScript errors on your live website? The actual errors that users experience? If you do, what tool do you use? And how is it woring out? If you don''t why not? I want to run a piece of javascript on a live page that I don't have backend control of. I know it's possible. I've never done it before though. I have added jquery.js and jqfancytransitions.js to the control. when i apply the effects dynamically it is working on local iis but the same coding is not working on iis server. The link for the page is http://www.gloriatech.com/slideshow.aspx . Actually it display the images but no effects are applied. I also checked the js files, it is in right path only.When i checked this page in firebug , it shows the error which is " Sys is undefined". I dont know how to solve it. Can anyone help me? Thanx in advance. Hi Chaps, I have JavaScript code, that exports a HTML table to MS Excel. This works fine on my development (local) server, however, it fails to work on my 'live' IIS server. Once I click on the Export link, I confirm the "Export to Microsoft Excel?" message, then nothing happens. I am not sure if MS Excel needs to be installed on the server or not? If anyone has any ideas, I'd be most grateful: Code: <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> function ExportToExcel() { input_box=confirm("Export to Microsoft Excel?"); if (input_box==true) { var xlApp = new ActiveXObject("Excel.Application"); // Silent-mode: xlApp.Visible = true; xlApp.DisplayAlerts = false; var xlBook = xlApp.Workbooks.Add(); xlBook.worksheets("Sheet1").activate; var XlSheet = xlBook.activeSheet; XlSheet.Name="Report"; // Store the sheet header names in an array var rows = tblrepeat.getElementsByTagName("tr"); var columns = tblrepeat.getElementsByTagName("th"); var data = tblrepeat.getElementsByTagName("td"); // Set Excel Column Headers and formatting from array for(i=0;i<columns.length;i++){ XlSheet.cells(2).value= "Projects - All"; XlSheet.cells(3,i+1).value= columns[i].innerText; //XlSheetHeader[i]; XlSheet.cells(3,i+1).font.color="6"; XlSheet.cells(3,i+1).font.bold="true"; XlSheet.cells(3,i+1).interior.colorindex="37"; XlSheet.Range("A1:B1000").HorizontalAlignment = -4131; } //run over the dynamic result table and pull out the values and insert into corresponding Excel cells var d = 0; for (r=4;r<rows.length+3;r++) { // start at row 2 as we've added in headers - so also add in another row! for (c=1;c<columns.length+1;c++) { XlSheet.cells(r,c).value = data[d].innerText; d = d + 1; } } //autofit the columns XlSheet.columns.autofit; // Make visible: xlApp.visible = true; xlApp.DisplayAlerts = true; CollectGarbage(); //xlApp.Quit(); } } </script> Hi,
I have designed a site. It's working properly in locally.
Now I want to insert a special javascript on my home page.
The job of that special javascript is, makes some errors in the site when site is going to publish on internet.
The site should run on locally but not on server I know that's a strange requirement . But that's a test for me... Is there any, this kind of special javascript...??? please help me. thanx I hope I have this post in the right place! Any help would be very much appreciated... I have a feature on my website that allows users to choose the website background (using alternate css sheets) and then uses an externally linked javascript file to store the background choice as a cookie so it is consistent throughout the website. This works perfectly locally (i.e. when previewing my website on my computer) but now it is uploaded to my host it doesn't appear to be working. (with the same browser) My javascript is he http://www. b r p - e n v .com/javascript/backgroundchange.js (with no spaces) The website that the javascript file is linked to is http://www. b r p - e n v .com (with no spaces) In the head I have: <script type="text/javascript" src="../javascript/backgroundchange.js"></script> ...then I have: <body onload="set_style_from_cookie()"> ...and for users to choose which background: <form> <input type="image" src="../images/white-background-thumb.jpg" onclick="switch_style('bg1');return false;" name="theme" value="White" id="bg1"> etc... </form> My problem is: The background reverts back to the default when moving to a different page. This would indicate that the background choice is not being saved in cookies. But this works locally! I have tried putting the javascript directly onto each page but I still had the same problem. I hope someone can help, I will be so grateful if I can get this to work. Many thanks indeed! Hello there, I am using Dynamic Drive's dhtml windowfile and when I had a link for it to call the popup window, it makes my site deliver a 500 server error. Here is the line of code I'm adding: Code: echo '<td><a class="link" href="#" onClick="ajaxwin=dhtmlwindow.open('ajaxbox', 'ajax', 'pages/post.php', 'Composing Mode: Post', 'width=650px,height=400px,left=300px,top=100px,resize=0,scrolling=1'); return false">Compose</a></td>'; It is not a php issue, I plaintext the link and it still did the same thing. I have trying to save an update the xml file which is there in same folder in which HTML page is there. In HTMl page i have written javascript code to Save and Update XML on server.The code is like this Code: function Save() { var xmlDoc= new ActiveXObject("MSXML.DOMDocument") xmlDoc.async="false" xmlDoc.load("/show/Share%20Workspace/Nidhi/Share%20%Document/Account.xml") //..code to modify xmlDoc xmlDoc.save ("/show/Share%20Workspace/Nidhi/Share%20%Document/Account.xml") xmlDoc = null; alert('Details saved'); } When i am accessing HTMl page on server from client and this function is called error 'Parameter is incorrect' is showing on line Code: xmlDoc.save ("/show/Share%20Workspace/Nidhi/Share%20%Document/Account.xml") Note: xmlDoc.load("/show/Share%20Workspace/Nidhi/Share%20%Document/Account.xml") is working fine. The save is working fine in local but not when on server and request from client. Kindly suggest me the possible solution to it. So, this is my last problem. If I can nail this, then the website will be completely AJAX driven, and will be spectacular. It took me a while to figure out just how to ask the question. lol Now it is really simple. 1) When I hit the button, in the simplified example below, the website sends a code to the server. 2) The server then re-writes the "xyz.js" JavaScript file with a new array of values. Is there any way to re-retrieve that JavaScript file, from the server to make it the current "xyz.js" rather than the old one that loaded on the client originally. I can get a new XML data file and re-submit that to the website, but how do I re-retrieve the new JavaScript code? Code: <html> <head> <script src="xyz.js" type="text/javascript"></script> </head> <body> <button onclick="onload();">Change</button> </body> </html> I have a server that when restarted emails from the code below every single time. I would like to know what I can use in the code below to regonize the restart and bypass the email send piece in BOLD below. Any help will be greatly appreciated. now = currentDateTime() if (statusInOverride != lastOverrideValue) or (overrideTime != lastOverrideTime) lastOverrideValue = statusInOverride lastOverrideTime = overrideTime if statusInOverride.value == true overrideStopTime = now overrideStopTime.minute = now.minute + overrideTime // Also send an email overrideHours = overrideTime / 60 mailSend(address, suiteName + " Overridden", suiteName + " has been overridden for " + overrideHours + " hours."); else mailSend(address, suiteName + " Override Canceled", suiteName + " has canceled their override. There was " + remainingTime + " remaining."); remainingTime.duration = 0 endif endif if statusInOverride.value == true remainingTime.duration = delta(now, overrideStopTime) endif I would like to use functionality similar to DirectoryInfo and FileInfo using server-side javascript in ASP.NET, but neither are recognized. What are the equivalents, if they exist, in javascript?
Hello I am using PlainAjax. http://coolpenguin.net/plainajax/?p=examplespostdata Here is my code and it is not working if i called from Javascript function. Anybody knows how to do it? I'm joining the code of my attempt but it appears to be reloading the IFRAME on the client side therefore causing an activeX error since I am running this in FireFox: PHP Code: var frTraductionID = document.getElementById("frTraduction"); frTraductionID = (frTraductionID.contentWindow) ? frTraductionID.contentWindow : (frTraductionID.contentDocument.document) ? frTraductionID.contentDocument.document : frTraductionID.contentDocument; var x=frTraductionID.document.getElementById("hCount").value; var ifrm = document.getElementById("ifUPDATE"); ifrm = (ifrm.contentWindow) ? ifrm.contentWindow : (ifrm.contentDocument.document) ? ifrm.contentDocument.document : ifrm.contentDocument; ifrm.document.open(); ifrm.document.write('<scr' + 'ipt language=javascript type="text/javascript" runat=server>'); ifrm.document.write('var fso = new Active' + 'XObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject"); '); ifrm.document.write('var f = fso.OpenTextFile("' + sFileName + '", 2, true); '); for (var i=0;i<x;i+=1) { var sString=""; sString +="f.WriteLine('"; sString +=frTraductionID.document.getElementById("h"+i).value; sString +='="'; sDetail=frTraductionID.document.getElementById("d"+i).value.replace('"', ' '); sDetail=sDetail.replace("'", "`"); sString +=sDetail; sString +='"'; sString +="')"; sString +="; "; alert("i = " + i + " str = " + sString); ifrm.document.write(sString); } ifrm.document.write("f.Close();"); ifrm.document.write("</Scr" + "ipt>"); ifrm.document.close(); document.getElementById('ifUPDATE').contentWindow.location.reload(true); any help would be appreciated. I'm attempting to pull the hidden iframe file upload trick using javascript. I've go my form file upload and iframe fine, but I can't figure out what to do when it gets server side. There seems to be relatively no documentation on how to handle uploaded files in server-side javascript. Ideas? I'm at a loss.
