Deleting All Table Entries-for And While Loops Produced Unexpected Results	View Content

I wrote a script that should delete all table rows at once.

For loop deletes all rows except row 1 and row 3. Further clicking on the delete button, deletes row 1 and then 3.

While loop ,on the first click on the delete button, also leaves rows 1 and 3 not deleted. Further clicking on the delete button, does not delete these rows.

I was sure that both version of the script should delete all rows in the table at once. Could someone look at the script and tell me what is wrong?

I am trying to compare dates to see if they are equal, one date is passed to my function from a calendar.
alert(mydate); returns "Tue Dec 22 10:00:00 EST 2009"

My date that I need to compare is written dynamically out of a database and it is formatted as a string: 2009-12-22

One might think that (Date(2009-12-22) == mydate) would be true, except the time is also included ... thus it is false, but if I try to use something like this:

if(dd.toDateString == mydate.toDateString)
...dostuff ...

the dates don't equal ... and I subsequently find out that dd.toDateString actually returns "Fri Jan 22 2010" when I explicitly passed 2009-12-22 to the function.

I'd simply like to compare the dates to determine if they are equal so I can pass a return value back to the calendar.

The code that works, effectively returning false on all Tuesdays after today is:

Now I need to determine if any date selected previously is available, so I have to read them out of the database and write them dynamically to the script. Right now I have something like this, but obviously it doesn't work.

When an addRows button is clicked, the first two rows are copied (cloned), a checbox is then inserted into the row1 cell1, then the two rows are appended:

Rows,except the first two can then be deleted by selecting the appropriate checkbox and clicking a deleteRow button. The check[] only exists after the first two rows have been copied and appended, so undefined means only two rows exist. Having a problem with the while loop. If a browser sees the next sibling of a tr as a td, the the loop should force the browser to go to the next sibling until its a tr, i.e row4. But its causing my browser(FF) to become unresponsive.

I want to be able to delete rows 3&4 by selecting the checkbox in row 3 and clicking a delete rows button. Regardless of how many sets of rows have been previously added, any set of rows can be deleted by selecting the appropriate checkbox(es) and clicking delete button. I'm trying to figure out how this can be done. My thinking is if checkbox is checked, calculate row index. I would then have to call deleteRow twice on that row index. Is there a better way of doing this?

now when the checkbox with id chooserver0 is checked, it sets k's value to 0, and when checkbox with id chooserver1 is checked it sets its value to 1, but when both are checked it must set value to b2, but it sets value to 0, why?

But it gives me a filter that I have to type in. I am looking for drop downs that allow me to filter so say you select drop down for fields that contain "A" then another drop down for a field that contains "B" so the results show fields that contain "A" and "B"

And PS I am semi new to the code world so please don't assume I know some stuff dumb it down a little HAHA

view the rest of my comments works on the first page but when i extend the search results the rest of the view comments wont expand.

then click more button

I am having trouble with the following code. Right now the user clicks the button and it shows all of the blogs from the blog array. However I want it to just reveal 2 then two more and two more and so on as the user clicks button. I have tried multiple things but can't seem to get it right. Most of the things i try either reveal the entire blog on start or when the user clicks hides all of them.

I have created a calculator for my site but I am having troubles figuring out a way to make the "add row" and "delete row" functionality work correctly. I would like the user to only see 1 row of information and then add/delete rows as needed. I currently only have 4 static rows. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Deleting A Cookie Site-wide

Our site allows the user to specify his or her location, which is then stored in a cookie. As the user navigates from page to page on the site, this location is remembered.

The user also has the option of changing their location. This calls a javascript function which sets the value of that location cookie to "".

When another function sees that the value is "" of that cookie, it brings back the location selector. Then the user can start over and choose a location.

Here's the problem:

Let's say I'm on page 1 of the site and I choose location A. Then I navigate to page 2. On page 2, I say I want to change my location. Now the page shows me the location selector instead of saying that I am in location A.

So far, so good.

However, if I now navigate back to page 1, it thinks I am still in location A. the cookie was deleted for page 2, but still remembered for page 1.

It isn't a cache issue; if I reload the page, page 1 will still say that I am located in location A, even though on page 2, I elected to delete that cookie (or to set its value to "").

What is a better way to delete cookie so that if I were to navigate back to a page on which I'd previously set the cookie, it will now know that the value is the new value (""), and not the value I'd originally set the first time I visited the page?

Regex Deleting Blank Lines

Say I have a <textarea> input and I want to strip all the blank lines (lines with only whitespace). I have this regular expression, why doesn't it do anything? I've tried different variations with the flags (m and g).

The very same regex works fine in my text editor (Notepad2), and I can match all empty lines.

I have an online application form that a member submits to register with our organization. However I want to make sure that the member submits only one application form per session year. Is there anyway I could setup a java script that lets the member know that they have already submitted their application when they try to re-submit.

The current setup lets them submit many applications which I am trying to prevent.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

No Empty Entries For Textbox & Listbox Validation

Hi there, I have this form that validates a few textboxes & a dropdownlist. And when it is not filled in, the border of the textboxes and dropdownlist would turn red, followed by an alert message notifying which field have not been filled in.

Else, the border will revert back to black, and the form will be submitted successfully.

Right now, I would like to prevent the user from entering blanks (like entering a space to cheat the system). How should I tweak the codes to make it work?

Hi,

I would like to add Start / Pause buttons to my website which upon click change from Start to Pause and back.
And an onclick event of writing a DB entry which on the other end will be read again by a php script.
