JavaScript - Change Var A To Var B If Var A Greater ??

How can I truncate all words greater than 30 characters using a class name when the page loads?

Been trying to do this for about 5 hours. Trying to conside the following:

* Truncate long words and churn anything above the minimum length with an ellipse.
* Only truncate words and not the whole sentence or paragraph.
* Should truncate text that are inside HTML tags and not truncate the tags themselves.
* When you hover over the ellipse, it will show you the complete word.
* The long words are already truncated when the page load (SEO friendly).
* Block of text are included in a max of 25 <div> elements and a minimum of 1. That's why I'm not using ID.

i cant get a caption specific to each image to display under the arrows when the image changes. it is especially hard for me because i have to edit the javascript which confuses the **** out of me. it seemed so simple....

Hello im using dhtmlx grid in this cells i have from time and to time (i.e ind==1 and ind==2) i need to validate time where to-time must be greater than from-time else it should alert an message,i have writeen a normal Regular expression for the time validation.as the time is i string format i.e[05:00],please can any one send me code for that.

here ind==1 is from_time and ind==2 is to_time,i need to validate time as to_time must be always greater than from-time,if condition fails an alert msg should populate.time format is[05:00]as it is in string format im unable to do the validation for it.(ex:from-time=08:00 to-time=07:59 condition fails)

I need to know how to edit the following, if there is a simple way to set the case for each one as they are not all split up into the same way, some are Districts, some states and whatnot so the new question varies.

Or do I simply need to make another big list to do them all?

Well, for starters, this is generally a really bad way to add <select>s and <option>s. Period.

I would certainly toss out your entire getSelect() function and rewrite it.

But I'm also not clear on what your question is. Are you asking *HOW* to implement the third level? I don't see any countries with any third level data, at this point.

If that's what you are asking, one possible way:

I have to ask: Why would you name that Slist.slist2 instead of Slist.countries ?? Not that it really matters, but why not make code more self documenting?

I used div tag in my field. that field has date value. there is another field that is also date field and it's in div tag.

when i change the first date field automatically second date field should be changed with the first date value.

i have a div box with some menu links as text. i need to change the background image of the whole div when i mouseover it and need to bring the original image when i mouseout it.

i have used a javascript to do this. and here is my code

this works fine but when i hover text links which is in the div, the background image flickers on mouseout in ie6.

With this code, I am trying to create a new instance. I am then trying to change the border of the div with the id of "text". I know doing .style.x is what is breaking, but I'm not sure how to make it so the x will, work or to return that back to the Create function and work with it there? Any help would be appreciated. Hi im a newbie to java so please don't laugh. And apologies in advance for my English.

When i open my page the src of the iframe is home.html. Home.html is empty and its in the way of the interface of my .swf file. My swf triggers the iframe to change into 50 different URL. So at the beginning the iframe should be gone. But whenever the src changes it should come back. I tried it by changing the height of the iframe. But nothing changes.

I have some own cursor with a .cur file. But it's very annoying to try changing each part from the css to the new cursor. Is there no aviable script in JS or HTML or CSS or whatever there is, that i can press the link for all cursor like:

Pointer, defaut, wait, stop, link and so on. So they all changes into my own? Without having those white cursor.

I have a javascript for a tree view but i need to change it according to the requirement. Lets start with example with the treeview as follow:

Now the thing is in the current treeview a single category is open at a time. like if 1.1.1 is open 1.1.2 will b closed and similarly if 1.1 is open...1.2 will b closed. But i want that when i click on 1(Door phone) ie Door phone...evry node should be opened instead of just one similary when i click on 2(CCTV), all its node should be opened.

I hope it will be possible to achieve this and i would be helped. My succeeding post will be the javascript i need help with. Thanks
