JavaScript - Maths Tables In Javascript..help Urgently

However, I seem to be getting it wrong, and my maths is... well, appalling. The problem is that while it's resizing correctly to fit the width OR the height, it's not fitting the width AND the height. That is: If I adjust the window height, the image scales to fit the height, but goes outside the window width. If I adjust the window width, the image scales to fit the width, but goes outside the window height. If I adjust both (dragging the window corner) it seems to favour fitting the width. I am currently using only landscape images. I don't know if that has a bearing. The code above works out some new image dimensions and is called when the browser is resized. The options.image_dimensions.height and options.image_dimensions.width variables represent the original dimensions of the image, and browser_height and browser_width are calculated from the window size. I have 2 videos and if I click the image which uses #usemap, it will switch to the specific videos I clicked. FF and chrome has no problem but only IE. The scenario is like this: Actual scenario is when the page load, it will display tab 1, video 1 and tab 2 is greyed out. If I clicked on tab 2, tab 1 is greyed out and video 2 is display. Both tabs I use #usemap. But now the problem in IE is that it keeps on displaying tab 1 and video 2 instead of video 1 and when I clicked tab 2, tab 2 is selected but no video is loaded. This is the brief code. IE just keep displaying video 2 when page load and video doesn't loads when tab 2 is clicked. Even if I program the 2 divs to be show, it only shows video 2 and video 1 is nowhere to be seen. And I tried taking out the video 2 codes, video 1 then can be seen. To clarify, when I say "sort", I mean being able to click on the header of a column within the table, and having that sort the entire table by that column. It works fine on my friend's website (and this is a duplicate of his, with only the database references changed)...For what it's worth, he does have a sorttable.js located in a "jslib" folder on the main portion of the site, but not in the directory that this file is in. Yet his sorting works perfectly. But that only works for a static page. The problem is now, both tables, the one on the left, and the one on the right, are dynamic. Either could have different heights depending on what page you are visiting. Different pages also have more than one table, and the only way I could see this working is with a million if statements or each page, defining each table being used. Is there anyway to get these two tables evened out, no matter the content using JavaScript? Not really sure why this isn't working. Any ideas? I'm working on a script that inserts things into tables. It's complicated and involves xmlhttp and lots of stuff, but I've narrowed the problem down to something simple. I have no idea why it isn't working as it works in Safari and Firefox. Help is much appreciated.
